The ending was dissapointing.
I just finished watching this drama and I'm not very satisfied.1. I think the whole concept of comedy and murder/mystery don't fit together since it was hard to take some parts seriously. The plot would have been good without all the comedy.
2. It was too long. In woo found out that dong sik had his diary in the 4th episode but the whole drama still had 12 more episodes. There was so much unnecessary things added in just to stretch it to 16th episode. It was painful to finish.
3. The ending was dissapointing. As I already said, the ending didn't satisfy me at all. Since the drama itself was so long and hard to finish I expected something better though it was pretty easy to guess. I think in woo and dong sik should've teamed up instead of the typical ending bad guys go to jail and good guys win etc.
This is just my opinion and the drama wasn't horrible but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Dark Comedy With an Interesting Concept
I am a huge fan of the thriller/mystery genres and this drama immediately spoke to me! Here are some of the things that are good to know without giving anything important away:1. Interesting and Unique Concept - the main character gets into an accident after witnessing a murder, which causes him to have amnesia. The only thing on his person was the serial killer's diary which he had taken from the scene of the crime and he's convinced it's his. I was super excited about this main plot line as I'd never seen this before!
2. Thriller Movie References! - The main character, being a thriller fanatic, uses his knowledge from different films and applies them to the situations in real life.
3. Comedy - There's a lot of funny scenes as well and I definitely found myself laughing through each of the episodes. The main character is a bit silly so don't expect him to be all too serious, but he can recognize situations when it's important to be serious too. Watching him switch is very cool.
4. Bromance - There's bromance between the main character and a side character that's really precious, but don't expect much from the two male leads.
5. The Killer - He was done very well, he's an incredibly intense and meticulous person throughout, stays true to character, and remains serious. Having him be so different from the main character made is very fun to watch them butt heads!
6. Little to No Romance - If that's something that you look for in a drama, you'll be disappointed here.
7. Suspense - Although we know from the beginning who the real killer is, they still kept things very suspenseful! I was caught wondering what would happen next several times.
Overall, I believe Psychopath Diary is worth it's high rating! I really enjoyed watching it and would recommend giving it a shot 👍

SIP IT WHILE YOU CAN!
Just from the introduction, the first episode, the concept of this drama is more attractive as it seems. How perfectly balanced the construction of the plot and the characters.FIRST, a police officer who goes on her own way and prove herself she's walking in the flawless path when behind is the filthy truth. We can see this kind of police characters, right? SECOND, a killer who is an actual psychopath who does murders brutally like an art and not giving justice to the victims. A usual murderer character we have here. BUT THIRD, a dumb, innocent, weakling guy who was done of himself and tried to end his life. Just tried, he's so weak either to attempt suicide! And all of those encounters when he chose not to jump in the construction building, the story woke up. The diary. Amnesia. Misunderstandings.
The plot is just so thrilling and brilliant. And it never failed me to burst out of laughter when I'm in a bad mood.
But In Woo ended in jail and frustrate himself was a dull ending. I mean who knows... could've any better. Like honestly the ending has more potential. I want it to have the appearance of the corpses and more...
Like it's my first series done without the romance tag and I'm surprised to myself not in thirst of romance :) This drama is gonna be the reason why I look forward to dark-humor series. Well, I'll just see. Anyway, the Bo Kyung and Dong Sik duo are adorable, special mention to the scene when they reenacted the possible actions of the culprit.
Oh, and Chil Sung! He's probably my favorite character... especially him together with Dong Sik is superb.
This series is so beautiful. This is definitely my cup of tea!

A drama truly worth watching.
This drama is one of the best Korean dramas in terms of creativity, plot, and execution. The essential idea of the protagonist believing himself to be the psychopath serial killer, and living the role and becoming fearless when confronted with any situation is really perfect. It was really enjoyable to watch. Of course, the interactions he had with the actual psychopath were the best part of the whole show. It really made me think this is one of the best remedies for people struggling in their social life due to low self-esteem. It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy, or a fake it till you make it mentality but he is not aware that it's fake. The actors all did a great job in performing their roles, I would say. Seo In Woo's actor choice Park Sung Hoon is really ideal in terms of general looks and vibes, and his acting was also really suitable.
Yoon Shi Yoon is also a really interesting and fitting choice for the character. His innocent and young features makes him much more comedic as a psychopath. He sometimes goes all out and crazy, and though it's exaggerated, it did not feel too much or irritating to watch. If someone else had done it though, it probably would be.
Jung In Sun in terms of acting was really great also.
While watching the show, I had these slight criticisms.
First of all, the officer Shim Bo Kyoung is far too smart. In almost every situation she is doubtful and so calculative, she theorizes and catches on the slightest things so perfectly. It is way too staged and planned. I understand her background with her father and all, but they made her this ideal intelligent and fearless officer, which is not realistic nor believable. Especially when everyone around her is dumb-efied; the higher up you go, the less intelligence they have. (Which is why she wanted to stay as a neighbourhood officer, I suppose)
Another problematic point is that, Dong Sik always tried to fit whatever information and idea he gains from those around him about himself into the mould of a psychopath, which is great, hilarious, and all, but it cannot always add up. He almost had no moment where he doubted his psychopathic self, or the diary and its origin. He cannot just blindly believe that this diary is his. Yes, at some point he started changing his direction and as if by choice ending his psychopathic activities, but he still didn't doubt their truth. Only until officer Shim questions it in jail, and though he denies it first, it soon all sank in and he so quickly changes his whole belief. They should have had him have multiple moments of doubt and questioning before that last bit for it to all directly make sense.

Extremely interesting premise but did not enjoy the comedy aspect
I loved the plot - the idea that a drama might be exploring nature verse nurture when its comes to serial killers. I thought it would be about whether the MC had the potential to be a killer if you took away his nurture (memory of how he was raised) and he was just left with nature ( his inherent qualities). However, this series left me dumbstruck bc that was not what it was about. The comedy aspect when the MC is attempting to harm anyone just did not sit right with this thriller enthusiast. Something about making the antagonist and his murders serious and gruesome and then having an MC whose entire personality be revolved around comedic aspects related to murdering/harming people just did not work for me. I thought the comedy genre tag was not going to be this strong. I think this drama is better suited for people whose primary dramas they watch aren't thrillers. If your like me and love thrillers this might not be what you want. Was this review helpful to you?
A Reddit Recommendation Turned Out Great
I stumbled upon 'Psychopath Diary' thanks to numerous mentions on Reddit threads, and I decided to give it a shot. I ended up binging it the entire weekend, and to my surprise, it quickly became one of my favorites. This drama is a breath of fresh air, relying heavily on the art of subverting your expectations. That's where its comedic power truly shines – just when you think you've got it figured out, the show takes a 180-degree turn.Yoon Shi Yoon's performance is commendable, but I must say, Park Sung Hoon steals the spotlight with his flawless portrayal of a villain. He slips into these roles so naturally that it's hard not to appreciate it. Normally, I'm not a fan of the main character being both naive and incredibly lucky, but in this context, it surprisingly complements the story. Like many dramas, the comedy hits its peak in the middle and tapers off toward the end. While this didn't bother me too much, I do wish the writers had more time to polish the ending.
Overall, 'Psychopath Diary' is a hilarious and thoroughly enjoyable watch that I highly recommend.

Loved it
One of the best dramas I’ve watched so far .the show is hilarious.I really enjoyed the dark comedy and I have not been disappointed .love this genre! I loved how Yoon Shi Yoon switches between his dual personalities very impressive must say .his acting was outstanding wow 🤩 Awesome, suspenseful and hilarious. Yoon Shiyoon's facial expressions were on point, as always. I was almost always on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next, and there is something so satisfying from seeing Dongsik go from a meek push-over to an absolute badass. The constant and abrupt switches between the comedy and thriller genre is like whiplash in the best way. Loved it! Pleasantly surprised..
So I was in two minds whether to watch this or not as it isn’t usually something I’d watch but hey when you’re in lockdown all you can seem to do is binge watch a good old kdrama. Safe to say, I loved this from beginning to end! I was getting frustrated throughout the drama because ML kept thinking he was the killer when he wasn’t but I kept watching because I knew it would all play out well. I did want to stop watching it because of my own frustration however the storyline kept me on it! This drama made me laugh and cry.. so would definitely recommend this show for anyone to watch if you have nothing to do like myself.. so entertaining. Was this review helpful to you?
Comedy. Thrilling. Worth watching!
I'm writing my second review with this series because I thought it was really worth watching. From the first episode it has a really thrilling and funny at the same time. But what really interests me was the psychopath to keep going. The way he smile really thrills me but then I realized that the main character was really good too. He was really good that made me realized that you don't need to do something bad just to be cool. Being good to others and let them see their own mistake on their own was the best lesson I 've ever learn in this series. I am proud that I watched this and I hope that you will take my advice to watch this😄Was this review helpful to you?
Funny and thrilling at the same time
I just finished watching it and I must say it was a very interesting and funny at the same time. It is quite funny, that's the first thing I would say. It is also a thriller because there are lot of instances when you are wondering how the hero is going to end up. However, every time there is a situation for which you are biting your nail, it would have a fabulous comic end and that will have you laughing. That's the best part of this series. The main lead is fabulous in his role. He is an absolutely delight to watch .. the expressions that changes from being a killer to a pitiable guy is hilarious .
Do watch if you haven't already.

Funny yet Thrilling
At first glance, you would think this was going to be a really serious drama but it wasn't. It had funny bits here and there, yet at the same time, managed to keep you at the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next.I think all the actors did a good job and as usual, Yoon Shi Yoon doesn't disappoint with his acting skills. Though his character and the detective do not really have a serious romantic relationship in the drama, they did have good chemistry together and it left the viewers wanting more, which is a good thing.
The villain was a pretty interesting character and at times you just find him pretty psychotic so yes he plays his character really well.
