True Beauty is both outer and inner beauty
Likes1. Jukyung and Suho ? I think even without the childhood connection they could have still worked the relationship. I love that Suho loved Jukyung for herself and Jukyung helped Suho come out of his shell.
2. Poor Seojun, he really is a good guy, but just not the right one for Jukyung. I was hoping for a cameo of someone pretty at the end so that Seojun will have his own happy ever afer but i liked that he was able to debut!
3. Still is hard for me to watch the bullying scenes but i love that Jukyung was able to stand up and accept herself with or without makeup. And im glad she found real friends like Soo Ah.
4. Jukyung's family is weird but fun! I love the softhearted dad and the cute younger brother.
5. Bromance between Suho, Seojun and Seyeon.
6. All the cameos feom Extra You cast.. but why is Kim Young Dae's cameo so short? (Maybe he was busy filming Penthouse).
7. The makeup PPL and the OST! I almost added to cart all the colorgram cosmetics in Lazada last weekend ? but restrained myself. But i bought the OST!
Dislikes
1. The last two episodes felt like fillers, although they were able to wrap everyone's story. It did feel like it was more of appreciation episodes for Seo Jun as he got a lot of screen time.. he had a date with Jukyung and confessed his feelings, he still maintained his friendship with Suho and he debuted and sang twice.
2. I didnt expect the time jump, but I appreciated seeing the gang all grown up and living their lives after school. I didnt necessarily hate the breakup, i thought it was the most sensible reason at that time. Suho didnt know when he will be back and he didnt want Jukyung to wait for him. I hoped instead of Suho breaking up with Jukyung like that, and going silent for 2 years, they could have mutually agreed to hold off the relationship until he was back. I think Jukyung would have understood it.
3. I missed Soojin and i was hoping she had a better ending than volunteering overseas. It felt like she was trying hard to atone for her past behavior. She can go back to school, do what she wants and be her badass self again.
4. I'm prolly the only one who didn't like Hee Kyung and Mr Han's romance. I mostly fast forwarded their scenes.
5. I wished more reconciliation scenes between Suho and dad.
Rating: 9/10 (8.5 for the story +0.5 for Eunwoo)

“True Beauty” is TV series for those who need a little bit of fun and humor in their lives. I recommend you this drama. Here is to watch the love triangle, funny antics... In addition, i am broken-hearted due to the ending.

A nice entertainment drama
I can't count how many times I laugh out loud watching this drama, especially around episode 3-10, I really appreciated a little bit of comedy inserted in many scenes, it shows that this is the type of drama that they want to create.It's gonna be hard for me to find the replacement drama for this, that I can repeat watch many times while waiting for new episodes.
This is actually the second drama from the PD that made extraordinarily you that I really enjoy too, but the abundance of comedy scenes here making this drama more enjoyable for me.

I like this drama. Not a new story line it is same story line tht lot of dramas had. But characters made it this hit. Actually not characters it is beacoz of actors this drama is hit this much.. i say like it becz story has lot of silly jokes thtz why i said tht this is hit becoz of actors.. actually i must say write made ju kyungs family like a idiots. I really dont like tht there r lot of scenes tht are not jokes just lame things.. ju kyungs father ,sister, and brother in low thire characters are too much i dont know why writer did tht. It made whole drama drop. But so hoo, se jun, ju kyung, lee jin, and every students characters and actors acting are well written and well played.. becoz of them i love this drama but i can not give 10 stars to acting and story becoz of tht lame characters..As for acting I think all of them are good actors even tht lame characters.. it is writers fault make them idiot way. Other than everyones acting r great.. 3 main leads i dont want tell about them they are out standing.. and ju kyungs lil brother is cute i like him too..

cliche but good
The story starts of with a girl, Lim Jugyeong, who gets bullied for being "ugly" and wears makeup to hide her "ugly self". She transfers to a new high school where she meets rich, lonely guy Lee Su Ho and a troublemaker, Han Seo Jun. The plot already sounds cliché and obviously we all know who is she going to end up with.What I liked in the drama is that Jugyeong stood up for herself and embraced her "ugly" face which was a good character development whereas in the webtoon, she has not but we will have to see as the webtoon has not finished yet.
What I did not like in the drama in episode 16, was Su Ho broke up with her which to me, I understood why because he did not want to hurt her and did not want her to wait for him as he was unsure if he was able to return to her. But, being up on her face when he returned was very childish of him. She clearly felt uncomfortable. The drama Su Ho is very different to the webtoon Su Ho.
The thing that really was painful was Seo Jun, he knew that he could not force her to love him but he did so many things to help her, like get her a job. It broke my heart when he let her go to Su Ho and he ran off to to cry alone. He knew he was not the one for her but still had those eyes like he is still in love with her. Jugyeong was very clueless and had no clue Seo Jun loved her until the very end. The director really gave him a dirty ending, they just showed him that he is debuting, that he told himself that when he becomes an idol "he will forget his feelings."
Another thing was that when Su Ho and Jugyeong dated, it was very cringeworthy that they had to "hide" like every typical Korean drama.
The music was very uplifting and was suitable for the three characters.
I would definitely rewatch this drama but not too often because it is like your everyday typical drama.

i'm 40 and im crazy loving this drama!!!! best romance comedy of 2020!
It's only 4 episodes out, but i've been rewatching this 2 times while waiting for wednesday.why I like it:
it make me binge watch it 4 hours in a row, first on my computer, than in big screen TV.
breathtaking cinematograpy, on-point sound editor, amazing editing
Super smart script... ( I hate lame script) I love smart writer.
very goooooddd cast! ( i dropped nine tail fox, because baby... I just dont feel their chemistry, no matter how hard I try)

for the first time, i kept on checking the time while watching, hoping that it will not end soon..
remember, it's a Romance Comedy, so it's light, refereshing, but got into first rank of my Fave drama real quick!

I loved it
Omggggg the best series. I did not believe that they have put the other series in the 4th episode like haru and i don't know what the name of the series was. I was shocked but i loved it. At the beginning i did not know that this was from the other series but i've heard the voice of the actress and this made me just jumping from happiness. I loved it ❤️❤️❤️❤️???? i would like to watch more episodes when they are already finished. Uh.
Well, I'm okay about Jukyung choosing lead A or B. It depends on the story anyway, not on the watcher's preference. We can't choose Jukyung's love partner, right? So I don't rate it low because Jukyung chose her partner that I don't like, not or I rate it high because Moon Gayoung is my favorite actress. Aside, these are the pros and cons I could remember lol.Pros:
- K-drama iconic school comedy scenes are everywhere! No need to worry about getting bored of this drama.
- Hwang In Yeop carries the drama on his shoulder. I mean, his acting is on point.
- Moon Gayoung can still be a high schooler foreverrr
- Supporting roles did their great job! This drama is so lovely and lively, thanks to them!
- This drama contains real social issues in South Korea: Bullying in schools.
- The conflicts between characters can really make you feel the bittersweet of the drama.
Cons:
- The biggest minus of this drama is Eunwoo's acting. While I do know his "handsome-ness" is important for the prince-like character, he's still much lacking in expressing the character's emotions. He looks like smiling while he's supposed to mad/angry/sad/etc. One part that satisfied me is when he found out that something wrong with his family and he had to mad. This was the first time I think his expression is correct.
- What da hell is that flying scene!? Too much and too far from realistic.
- Cringe scenes are overloaded (might be called "fan-service" for fans).
- Unsolved problems in the plot: Bullies end up nothing?
- Where's Hajin? We need her cameooooo :v

True Beauty, best kdrama I've never seen, I will rewatched it without hesitation !!!!Along the serie, I note every moment that make me laught, that gave me butterflies in my stomach...

A feel-good high school romance comedy
Loved it! What makes it stand out for me is the well-placed humor that runs consistent throughout the drama. It will touch your heart, refresh on some life lessons and make you cry in some parts, but definitely it will leave a feel-good effect.Cons: may not be for those looking for wild plot twists or high drama. It's an adaptation of a webtoon filled with well-loved ingredients for a high school romance.
Pros: Highly recommended when you want to smile and laugh and drown yourself in a good romance comedy. Casting is amazing, terrific job to the casting team on this. The OST is addicting.

Friendship Vs True Love
Overall i was so obsessed with this drama untill now, the ending was quite okay for me. I just hope that Han Seojun can get his happiness to tho. But yah, drama is always a drama. A main hero must be the main character and ending for the heroin right? Hoping for more date for Seojun & Jukjyung. Hmm, right now i just wait for the webtoon ending since it more complicated the drama itself. For those who wants to watch this drama, i highly recommend it because it can make your heart fluttered and cannot miss the episodes everyday ?? its just based on my experience.
