Only in Japan
OverallWithout ever reading the manga, Overall, I have to say that it was definitely enjoyable and I would rewatch again. If you think the topic is to weird or triggering please don't watch, but if you think it sounds interesting, by all means, give it a try.
Story
Honestly, this is the first time I see something like this. I am sure that there are more out there but it is my first. I think that the plot was good but there was so much that was never explained at all. Who was that group of cleaners? Never really got an answer. In the end, I just ignored all that because I was really enjoying it for what it was, but I know that there is a lot to be explained.
Acting/Cast
The main cast was amazing as always. It was great to see Sugino Yosuke and Fukuhara Haruka act together again. I really enjoyed them in the second season of Good Morning Call and also in their other works. Both are great actors and There can't be much said about them other than how great they are.
Rewatch Value
I would definitely rewatch.

The best Japanese movie I have ever watched
This movie far exceeded my expectations. Usually Japanese dramas and movies have the crappiest acting and romance ones have unrealistic direction, but this was quite different which seperated it from the rest.Story : You have to close your sense of detective thinking while watching this movie. The story lacked logic in many scenes, but logic isn't the goal of this movie. It is basically story of a shut in man who falls in love with a woman through a peep hole.but one day he witnesses a horrifying incident through the peephole, and what happens after that forms the rest of the story. Don't go in and watch it for a thriller movie. This movie is a pure romance movie, and you might find a few jump scares here and there. There isn't comedy here, but the sweet romance calms up the movie. So , this movie is not a thriller movie, but a romantic one. The story is one of its strongest points and I have watched several thousand movies in fifteen languages, and never have I come across a movie with this kind of story.
Acting: this is another strong point to the movie. All actors in this movie showed flawless acting skills, and this is the first japanese film I enjoyed after watching many crapy ones. None of the actors felt cartoonish, and though I never felt sad feelings, it is not required in this movie as it is a weird movie. The slashing and fighting seemed bad, but since I am not a fan action scenes and skip them usually, I was able to overlook it. The romantic feelings were really good, and the actors didn't speak mind voices which were irritating in other japanese dramas.
Music: I never usually listen to songs in movies, but the sound effects in this movie were good. I didn't notice any faults, but neither was it memorable.
Re-watch value: I never re-watch movies and shows, but this movie is definitely a one time watch for everyone. Because once you know the twists in the story, you would be bored to watch it.
Overall: for viewers like me who hate tragedies, this would be a very good movie. And compared to other japanese content, I liked this very much. Hope japan makes many shows and movies with realistic acting. A spectacular night watch???

this is why you don't peep on a murderer, kids
First of all, it's hilarious that this movie is tagged as a horror genre and not a comedy because I loved the comedical aspect of this movie the most. The story and the characters were intentionally messed-up and I watched the movie knowing that. But those messed-up characters psychology was very funny to me. There was no horror in this movie in my opinion because even those murder scenes were hilarious. At some point, I felt like they were romanticizing the main leads relationship. Also, the male lead trying to change the female lead's character felt very hilarious to me and at some point, I felt pity for the guy because you could see that all that was happening in his life messed him up. But he still tries to remain like a good person till the very end. And he feels guilty about the peeping thing too, but he was too depended on the female lead and suicidal to restrict his behaviour.
I've seen Haruka Fukuhara's acting before, and she does a better job here. I couldn't imagine her as two-faced serial killer, but she does a fairly good job and honestly, I liked the way she kept both the angelic and eerie vibe around her through-out the movie. However, I loved Yosuke Sugino's acting the most. The others did a good job too, but they weren't that important to me. So, I didn't notice them that much.
I didn't really notice the music, so I don't know:") I'll just give it an average rating.
This movie is enjoyable if you don't think much about it because if you think much about it, it will be really weird. The whole premise of the movie was weird to me. But I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected:D
