Both are tangle around barber or hair saloon. Both have violent event or bad people around the main lead. Soft and hard encountered.

Both movies cover important part of Korean government and political turmoil during 1960 and early 1980. Strangely enough Song Kang Ho plays the main character in both movies and historical events.
