The third collaboration between Kelly Chan and Aaron Kwok yields probably their best pairing, though not their best film by far. Luna Ng is a popular newspaper columnist who makes an enemy of DJ Cheung Yung when she attempts to block his purchase of a used vinyl record. Cheung Yung is a lover of old vinyl and uses them on his popular radio show, where he plays old tunes and sometimes gives ill-advised romantic advice. Luna wanted that record because it was a gift to her first love and the shock and dismay over seeing it in a used bin cause her to wish to possess it again. The two begin to spar, she in her column and he on his radio show. (Source: lovehkfilm) Edit Translation

Love to Hate
«And I Hate You So» introduces the story of Luna Ng, who runs into a man whose first impression is the antithesis of her. Due to certain events, both of them are destined to see each other, confront each other and even love each other. The movie was great for many reasons. Let's see the weakest point first: the plot. Nothing really special about the plot, it is just the story of two people who slowly fall in love. But I really love this kind of plot. It might be slow, and not memorable at all, and even cliché, but the execution of the romance and how hate becomes love in this movie is strikingly beautiful. You either get it or not, there is no secret to it. The OST/BGM was amazingly well used in this movie as well.
The cast and acting were outstanding. I do not think it is that easy to portray the braveness and nerve of a feminist as well as her vulnerability, but Kelly Chen did a really great job. Her character was one that reminded us we are all humans: we make mistakes, we contradict ourselves, we do not really know what we want; and yet, we have to present the opposite appearance of those traits in public, especially if you are someone with a reputation for being the scourge of sexism. Chung Yeung, portrayed by Aaron Kwok, says "Is it hard to be a feminist and admit you love a man?". This movie is filled with powerful lines, but that one struck me a lot. The movie might present an ordinary plot, but the characters were definitely a challenge, especially for Kelly Chen.
All in all, «And I Hate You So» will make you enjoy a "despicable" impossible transition from hate to love, portrayed by a strong female lead who is, in fact, just like any of us. What we say we want, what we force ourselves to believe we want, and what we really want, no matter whether is a contradiction of our ideal and people's opinions is depicted incomparably well in this movie.

White umbrella
This is a cute movie. You watch it and time flies by.Things I liked:
- No annoying second female lead, she knew when to walk off.
- DJ and Writers chemistry.
- You can see DJ likes her from the beginning and it's cute.
- I like how he tried to understand her, he read her articles and her book.
- You can see she tries to be tough but she is a softie.
- Her running home to listen to his radio show.
- Two of them dissing each other.
- Her article about lost love and white umbrella, so beautiful.
- The song he dedicated to her.
- Their smiles at the end, I melted.
Things I didn't like:
- Her current boyfriend, he is never supportive and she pretty much just tolerates him.
- Her first love, he took advantage of her while she was vulnerable. I liked how she asked him why they broke up and he didn't know why.
- The glasses girl and guy. I didn't like anything about that plot. If they erased it and gave that time to main leads this movie would be better.
- I want more of the story, I wanted to see their life after they got together. At least one date or her moving in with him. Literally just one scene would be enough.
Overall, a weird cute movie.
