Not only about moving on but also about having aspiration and finding inspiration
Though there are drama and fantasy, the film is pure in its core. All emotions the story wants you to feel are all here. That and great pieces of music made me cherish this film. It’s also worth to mention, everything presented on the screen is well-though-out. Sure, the story is touching plus, the actors are great. But the transition from one scene to another; not to mention, to a different emotion and season as time pass by is breathtaking.
A perfect example is, the shadow formed when our main character Kubota Sota played by Kitamura Takumi handed the tape to Murase Kana played by Kubota Sayu at night.
I truly love that one and some other shots. Everything about this film made me look back at my college days. Which reminds me, I NEED A SPOTIFY PLAYLIST!
If you get the chance to catch Our 30-Minute Sessions (2020), please do watch it. Though the storyline of possessing a body to interact with the people you left is not new, I can guarantee this film gives you more than an unfinished business that needs to be solved.
Our 30-Minute Sessions (2020) is not only about moving on but also about having aspiration and finding inspiration.

MUSIC LOVER'S GATHER AROUND!!!!
This movie was defiently a hit or miss for me. I did enjoy some parts of the movie then others. It's not a bad movie but it's not one of my favs. It did take me a while to get into the movie as it's a bit slow paced for me.STORY
What drew me to this movie was the story line, it was quite unique and intrigued me. The way they developed and brought this story to life was pleasant to watch. Even if I found the movie a tad bit dull for my liking, I stayed until the end for the story to see where they would go with it. My fav part was the idea of preserving Aki's memory/life in a tape recorder, it's such a clever idea.
ACTING/CAST
Another reason I decided to give this movie a crack is for Mackenyu, he performed his character (Aki) so well. I could always feel what emotion he portrayed in that moment. He never disappoints. Also he can sing? and he is so good at it too. His voice his gorgeous, every time he sung I was awes trucked. Also the songs he sang complimented his voice so well.
The acting overall from everyone was astounding. In my opinion the cast did uplift the movie a little bit and they did keep me hooked until the end. I couldn't picture anyone else in those roles. So I defiently applaud the casting directors for the choice of cast.
OVERALL
It was a decent movie overall. I believe if you have a love in music you'd defiently like it. Sadly I'll most likely won't come back to watch it again. I did like the story/plot but it did take me a while to actually get into the movie. To me it's slow paced and I did find some parts boring then others. All in all, not my cup of tea.

You will cry. When you watch this, you will definitely cry. Very much.
You will cry like an elephant, like a pig, like a monkey... You will cry wishing you had an arata mackenyu in your life. you will cry resenting the writers of this movie. you will cry because he takes on that role. In conclusion, you will cry.
I do not like this move. I love it and hate it at the same time. It is so sad. I knew what was coming- it is so cliche you will predict it, yet It still hit me like a train. I cried so much my eyes are puffy. and I am now suffering a headache that won't go away.
I also wanted to keep the rewatch value blank but they wont let me.... i dont think ill ever rewatch this. but i wanna see his face again. His personality- his character in the movie is what i love the most. AND THE MUSIC- SO GOOD.

Sweet Musical Tearjerker
First of all, I want to say a huge thank you to The Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme 2021 Online Special without whom I would not have seen this film. This is a really sweet film, I wasn't sure what to make of it at first but I ended up really enjoying it. There is some beautiful cinematography on show here & the script is simple but effective. The two leads are brilliant & the supporting cast is one of the best I've seen.
You really get pulled into this world & by the end it really tugs on your heartstrings!
Big Bonus: The music is superb & really fits the story 🎶

Music Lovers
Special thanks to Rjgman56 for english subbing this movie. Please support by watching the movie with the link provided in the comment section.Story.
The story is pretty decent; however, for me, it felt nothing special other than the music. My favorite part of the movie would be the festival (ending scene).
Acting/ Cast.
I watched this movie because of Mackenyu. I first saw him in Chihayafuru live actions. It is nice to see him playing a different role. Mackenyu definitely fits the role of a lead singer in a band. If he quits acting, I would definitely support him in a music career.
I am so grateful that Kitamura Takumi is in this movie too. He's a singer, which makes the movie better.
Music.
Some parts of the movie, where Aki (Mackenyu) is singing looks like a music video with the flashbacks.
My favorite song would be Stand by Me.
Rewatch value.
It depends on the person. For me, I give it a 2.5 because I would rather rewatch some scenes than watch the whole movie again.

Would it have?
This was amazing to watch this was heartwarming and bittersweet at the same timeI enjoyed listening to all the songs and the last one especially was probably the saddest song. My favourites would probably be stand by me and sayonara. When sota joined with the last two lines they both sounded amazing.
The ending has me in tears a whole river. i watched it today and rewatched the ending about twice already and it always ends up with me crying.
Especially since the song I kinda feel like when aki was singing it was about sota before they switched back. I feel like when aki was singing sayonara it was about sota and him after they met and all their journeys they had together.
I feel so bad for aki. I was hoping for him to be standing at the end but in the end he wasn’t it’s as if he finally found peace and could let go.
I feel like when sota’s spirit ( when they switched) was in the crowd I could see that he could see him fading away even though they barely knew each other or even met they had grown a beautiful friendship. It looked like sota quite didn’t want him to go.
I still can not get over his spirit leaving in the end when he was singing. The last song will always make me cry honestly it’s amazing but quite sad at the same time
I wonder if sota met aki earlier would that have changed things? Would it have ended the same way? Would it have ended differently? Would aki still end up dead?

It's a good movie but only good, nothing special!
Coming here because Mackenyu as singer band theme. I surprised that he can sing perfectly with the song. To be honest Aki voice better than Sota. Something lack on the story than cannot represent very well how important to debut for band, not enough effort to put to performing the band. I know the main character is Akita and Sota, but it will be good if we know the background how the band members meet. For the ending, I still hate Sota for that, but here we can understand the value of friendship from Akita.
Since there is not many special point to need to be remember, so I will not rewatch the movie. I will save the soundtrack since this is the only special point for this movie.

Perjuangan
Kisah juang yang dibalut rasa cinta dan persahabatan. I want u to know that.
