A heartwarming realistic story that will definitely touch your hearts. It's about the story of a preschool teacher with his preschool students. The twist is the main character or the teacher is a male unlike the usual stereotype female preschool teachers who handle the students. If you love watching dramas with a children's theme then you will love this drama. It will touch your heart per episode which is all about the interactions between teachers and their students. There would be emotional moments but it just fits the drama as a whole. I also like that it's light and enjoyable to watch because there is a comedic element. I could definitely re-watch this drama and I also love the music but of course because of Arashi.

This show is a comedic, heartwarming look into both the reality of male pre-school and kindergarten teachers and the hearts of children. I generally find that if you really enjoy children, chances are you will enjoy this show, which, in many ways, has the heart of a child encased in a more grown up world, just like the main character is a man with a child's heart in a man's body.

Because of the comedic aspect to the show and its use of young children, the show has some quirky acting that reads a bit like a manga at points. The music in most of those scenes also reinforces the physical comedy which is often being used. Some viewers who are more appreciative of very subtle acting used more in dramatic works may be turned off by the way that this is done in this show. I found that the acting was tailored in such a way that seemed to be most apt for the spirit of the show, but I am also not someone who studies actors intensely. Similarly, there are times that the script seems to be somewhat cheesy, but again, it fits well into the spirit of the show.

I would definitely recommend this show to others. I thought it was delightful. It has some wonderful bit parts, a bunch of adorable children, and it deals with issues which a lot of families will actually face alongside raising young children. I give it a pretty solid nine out of ten.

short review

A heartwarming drama that involved a passionate substitute male preschool teacher that give 101% for the children.

Acting: Not the best, but i think Sho is criminally underrated during his early acting career. He is really into this role and it seems like he is a legit substitute teacher, the only issue for him is that he is overexaggerating in some parts of the drama. The supporting cast is great, especially the Supervisor and "Ojichan-sensei".

Music: Perfect. more/less it's a mixture of Disney music (used in cheerful scene) and K-drama (used in sad/tense scene). it successfully make me (heavily) crying in most of the episode (as a person whose eyes only a bit watery when watching 1 litre of tears). If only they didn't repetitively use Ruppina's song over and over in every episode i would give it a 10.

this drama is a bit old, but decent. my issue with this drama (other than the one that i mentioned above) is that it's too long for a drama that Involved a preschool setting. many unnecessary scene, making it feels to formulative.

Seriously... right in the feels, Sakurai Sho-kun!!

Do not watch without tissues. This has to be one of his greatest performances, that I've seen anyway. And the cameos from the other Arashi members are hysterically well done! The children play out their roles well and it really has the feel of a working daycare. Definite must watch!!
