you will NOT regret watching this movie even for 100 times!
I highly recommend this movie not just because of the good acting or/and story line. The connection between actors is something natural which I really liked cause it feels like you're watching two guys healing their relationship and facing their fears. it's like you're going through the problems and solving those problems with them.I also believe the director did a great job. not a single scene is boring and the story is so rich and eventful that you want to re-watch it once it's finished.
I'm looking forward for another bl movie as good and happy as it is ;)

Started slow but beautiful
Truthfully I didn't know this was a sequel. I just watched this on whim so I watched it thinking a standalone movie. It actually started slow in story aspects but gained it momentum with both lead starting to open up.
The acting was good. I loved the little girl so much. I liked the ending. I loved that they put efforts on the character of Rena. She was cheated on and lied to. Her whole life was turned to a lie and her future she thought she'll have with her husband and daughter was burned to grounds. They tried well to portray her. I hated her when she was drunk sleep and lost her child. But then her husband had extra marital affairs too. So I hated them both equally.
But they seem to love their child do I had mixed feelings.
I liked that she didn't just gave up her daughter to her husband completely when she saw Sora's drawing of her and two leads. The husband and wife met in the middle of .
I loved the ending of them all playing with Sora.
All in well this worth the watch!

Very Heart-warming and Beautiful film!!
I watched the 1st movie in this series and absolutely loved it, but it felt like there was a very open ending . It didn't at all feel like the end, and I was really upset because the movie was so good and I wanted more!! When I found out about this movie, although i could HARDLY wait to watch it. I wasn't expecting it to be just as amazing (I would say even better) than the 1st. In a lot of experiences I've had the 2nd movie is always not as good, or feels like it was just halfheartedly thrown together just to make the audience happy. I was also kind of hesitant in watching it because the actors aren't the same ones from the 1st... BUT PLEASE.... DO NOT.. make that prevent you from watching this, It was over all a very enjoyable movie to watch and I hope you enjoy it too. :)Was this review helpful to you?
A must watch
I watched the drama(prequel) about how they met when they were 17 in fujisawa and thru this found live. A few years pass and they are graduating college when nagisa breaks Shun hearts and tells him theirs no future. Nagisa get married as told and has a daughter. Shun disappears and is happy in the countryside until nagisa shows up with his 6yo daughter sora and tells Shun he's sorry and misses him. Shun at first doesn't except him as he was hurt really bad, but nagisa tries to reconnect with him and asks his wife for a divorce and takes sora with him. Then slowly trouble begins as his wife shows up trying to take there dtr by force and in court as she fights for custody, they show that sora wants to stay with her dad and Shun. While growing up sora didn't feel any different of not having a mom, but that that people couldn't understand they love the saw way. All these countries need to open up there eyes and see we are all different but are also all human. This drama/movie gives a beautiful story about acceptence, forgiveness and how society can slowly adjust. A must seeWas this review helpful to you?
The story seems simple, but the realistic characters depiction makes us hooked. Nagisa is a flawed person. A perfectly depicted and acted character though. Shun-kun is just so perfect, both the character and the actor who played it. And don’t get me started with the cute Sora-chan.
But amongst all these perfections, if I’m asked to choose just one, the very best one thing about the film, it would be the ending song, Maria Road by Ibuki Sano. The song started to play right after the last scene. And perfectly captured the whole emotion of the film. It got me stay still during the song treasuring all the emotions, digesting the film that I just saw.
So beautiful. Such a precious cinematic experience. Not a dull moment at all.

The quality of acting of the actors were good and the conflict felt real, it made me get swept away in the story that is currently flowing.
I was thinking, is it possible to happened to me in the future? 😭

Good Story Line
This movie had a really good story line, but unfortunately for me it didn't come across, it was poorly excuted. The thing I liked the most is that I watched it solely for the romance factor but it turned out to be so much more than just that.
Where i felt let down was the timeline just didn't seem to flow and as we nearing the end it felt like it was being rushed, the begining of this movie started off a really good foot, and it definately touched on issues that are most likely happening today, but when it came down to it, it just seemed to have been rushed over.
Nagisa, he's the cutest character and his relationship with his daughter, you could feel the love he had for his daughter and how he wanted to be with her, and see the carreer mom, who is caught betweeen to loving her kid but also wanting to progress in life, the thing that I disliked the most was the fact, yes she was hurt by what transpired and possibly felt betrayed or lied too, but it just seemed that she wanted to get back at her husband for lieing to her by using the child, and unfortunately that is the very case in today society and all around us. she allowed her grudge to come between a father and daughter, and her mom who was not really present but seemed to have a lot to say.
Overall: This is a good movie, for me though I just felt there were important things that they should have expanded on and have more of understanding, as it did touch on some serious issues such as rights to raising a child.

Not gonna lie, I watched this because of Hio Miyazawa. Then I got attached to the story, but suddenly I returned again to my original intent. The good prospect of the story was gone in the latter half where the family issues being settled. Also, that super quick skip from Mr. Ogata asking Shun too come then to Ogata's funeral left me thinking "Huh, what the heck?". And the ending is not satisfying - even though it means Nagisa has decided to choose which one he wanted since you can't have it all. I reluctantly admit that Sora brings life to the story, her role is vital to save the latter half and made me keep continuing. Not much I can say about other aspects, acting and music were acceptable but nothing is particularly special. So in the end, I just enjoy the calm facial expressions from Miyazawa.

More than that they had to break up because of what other people or family or people close to them would think about them and mistreat them
The entire movie beautifully portrayed not only the faults about the mindset of the people of this era but also the solution how to normalise these things new to us or teach things to our upcoming generation
The overall story felt good with warmth it has <3

my favourite movie so far
This movie is just wonderful. The atmosphere is just so calm and quiet, the colors are really pretty, the sceneries are amazing...The amount of oxygen that it gave me is insane, I felt like I was breathing after holding my breath for too long. I couldn't describe the feeling that I've got, something like cold mornings in a little house, with the golden light of the sun illuminating the countryside... After watching it, I felt humble and modest towards life.
The movie was painful to watch because it reminded me a lot of myself, but it portrays life within its all. The cruelty, happiness, anger, and issues of a gay couple living with a child in early 2000's Japan. Every character has their own palette of behavior, and you can't just hate one of them because they all have a valid point for acting as they do. The ending was incredible, and I think it is the best that could happen to them.
If you want to watch another movie with the same vibe, I recommend "Restart After Comeback Home".

that's just life
As a person who didn't grow up with their parents who are divorced but suddenly taken custody of by my mom, also being gay I relate to this a lot. I thought that this was a BL but I consider it more of a family-kind of drama. I hated it at first but as it went on I ended up enjoying it, if it weren't for the reconcile of the family nagisa made, I wouldn't even liked it even if shun and nagisa reconciled but the family didn't because I would feel bitter about it, sora really was important here and brought everyone together, the best girl!!I really hated Nagisa but the movie really made it make sense and understandable. It doesn't change the fact that he was selfish and a coward that hurts a lot of people, made some problematic decisions, it's realistic and there are some things in life that we can't go back to and make excuse for but instead we should move on forward and make things right then on which nagisa did in the end thankfully.
I still hated him because of his ways, like breaking up with shun out of nowhere which left shun confused without being able to move on then coming back with a child then trying to pursue shun again which is again, so selfish! shun was about to move on and actually make a new life but nagisa stopped him, I feel bad for shun cause it's everybody's wish who are still in love with their ex is for them to come back and nagisa took advantage of it. Also sleeping with other men to satisfy his lust while being married with a child (which omg, thankfully sora has no idea about) basically a cheater, the unrealistic part is that he said shun is the only one who can satisfy him in the end which was so icky for me, so his lust was more greater than being content with his family like even if he is gay, don't sleep with others while being married!! Break it off first. So like the possibility of him cheating on shun too is pretty high.
Overall, great movie! If I'm being honest, I was angry and bored at the first half, like stuffs weren't making sense and they really make you hate nagisa then as it went on, things were explained and it gets quite exciting. Chemistry of the two leads were so good and the way nagisa reached, hold him close (like very tight- lol) and forced shun to stay with him was quite realistic for people that don't want people to leave them, I felt that scene a lot! It was the memorable part out of the movie for me. I feel for the mother and daughter, my mother also works a lot so I barely spend time with her but I was taken custody of but I still barely spend time with my mom so I'm really happy with the way things went in the movie the only difference is that I don't even bother to think about my father or want to get back with him, for now I'm good. it's like life where you can only experience things once, I dont find any reason to rewatch it.

I didn’t know this was after a series!
Oopsie I hate doing things out of order. But it looks like different actors play the series so that is fine.I started to not like this when I began it because I was like oh so this guy about to show up cause he don’t wanna work and wants to be a stay at home dad and is getting divorced and I was like wow he selfish. Because sometimes films have this point A B and C in movie and forget all the stuff needed in between or to build to those points or background but they ended up filling that all in I think they just wanted to keep me on the edge of my seat and angry for a minute lol. But then I saw all the things he did and I changed my mind and loved the film.
Especially the ending scene 🎬 and Sora she precious 💕
