This movie is the perfect mix of Cantonese and Mandarin. The people who made this movie hiring enough HK and China people to make this movie. The story plot was fabulous. It was honest and relatable to real life relationship situations. It wasn't the typical "OMG, He's an rich asshole and manages to fall in love with a poor girl." The asshole manages to win the girl with effort. You also get to understand the saying "It's not you, it's me" during the movie.

Shawn is pretty good speaking in Mandarin. He barely has the HK accent. But the others not so much. The end of this movie was hilarious though. I heard the ending of Shawn went viral. I also just realized this movie is the sequel to Love in a Puff but I didn't bother watching the first one.

When I first heard that there is a sequel to "Love in the Puff", I wasn't sure if it would be good enough. What else is there to say, when the first part was awesome already? But this movie is simply a perfect continuation - I was in love with the first, but I have to admit, the second is even better. It does not, however, continue the documentary style presented earlier.
The continuity of plot is almost amazing, not only presenting lives of Jimmy and Cherie, but also their friends and families. Puns and jokes are still in place, though the basic knowledge of Mainland and Cantonese popculture would definitely help.
Though it no longer revolves around the problem of smoking bans, the main story remains brilliantly written. Don't even get me started on the fantastic soundtrack. And the ending with the mysterious video revealed is a masterpiece. It leaves me wanting more. Both movies are on my instant rewatch list, and so they should.

As the chemisty between the leads is the important thing that leads the movie forward, the parts where they are seen together were not as enjoyable. However, we get to see their own lives, in a realistic view. The second part of the movie is better in my opinion. Also I did not know Yang Mi were in this film, she must be in the beginning of her career. I don't know why but her (and the second male lead's) scenes were a lot dramatic than the rest of the movie and for this reason I gave a lower rating for story and rewatch values. Knowing Jimmy and Cherie from the first movie, their choices were a bit unexpected for me. They both are fun and easy going people but their plot went a bit dramatical in this movie. However the plot evolves and the comedy in the romantic comedy comes alive in the second part. The references were really good too.
(Not really a spoiler) Finally, my favorite scene is when Jimmy acts really childish and then mumbles something to Cherie in the middle of the movie, that scene feels so real and natural, it was the peak point for me. It shows both leads can act. Anyway, I recommend this trilogy as a whole.
