In a Japanese town devastated by the tsunami of March 2011 stands a booth containing an unconnected telephone. It's known as the Phone of the Wind. People come to "call" their loved ones who died in the disaster. Five years after the disaster, they can see their communities being rebuilt, but many are still struggling with their losses and can't move forward with their lives. For them, the Phone of the Wind is a way to open their hearts and begin to come to terms with their losses. This is an intimate look into what they are really feeling after five years.
