Story - The fact that this drama took on a story that you never see scored it some big points with me. It was a very nice change from the usual girl-pretending-to-be-a-guy or I-hate-you-but-I-love-you dramas that always seem to air. The person that thought this one up is, in my opinion, a genius.

Acting/Cast - Before this even came out, I was already waiting in anticipation because I absolutely love So Ji Sub and Lee Yeon Hee. I was definitely not disappointed. Those two, as well as the rest of the cast, did an amazing job in their roles. The good guy roles, as well as the bad guy roles, were very believable.

Music - This was probably one of my favorite parts. The first half of the drama or so, you hear 'The Phantom of the Opera' a lot, and that song is incredible. Then there was the instrumental 'GHOST' that played a lot that I thought was fantastic. The rest of the songs + instrumentals played throughout were amazing as well.

Rewatch Value - I don't really like to rewatch dramas often, but I could definitely imagine myself watching this one again at some point in the future.

Overall - Overall, this whole drama, I think, is perfect. Like most dramas, it had its ups and downs, but I feel like the pros far outweighed the cons. There are two factors that really set this drama apart from other dramas for me.
1) The main focus of this drama wasn't a love story. In other dramas, that's almost always either a main story, or it becomes on 1/4 of the way through.
2) It didn't spend the whole time dragging on with one storyline. There were a few smaller ones tossed in that kept it interesting without taking away from the drama as a whole.

Well, didn't see this one coming.
I had just finished my first drama with So Ji Sub (Master's Sun) and was searching for another one of the same genre with him starring as well. Came across this one, and although an action/serious drama was everything I didn't want, I still gave it a try because, well, it's So Ji Sub. And, oh, thank God I did.

The story developed perfectly along the 20 episodes, although in my opinion there are way too many flashbacks and a few fillers. I loved how the flashbacks were displayed and how the quality was pretty different from the present time action.
I don't have many things to point out except I still have my doubts concerning some hidden cameras displayed in questionable flashbacks. Other than that, this drama got all my attention and was the best company for the last days of my holidays.

I had seen Ghost's poster before, but it never got my curiousity because it had Lee Yeon Hee and, well, I really don't like her acting from what I've seen of her. This drama didn't convince me otherwise. She's too... 1 dimensional. In my opinion (although I'm no acting expert at all), she still has a long way to go.
On the other hand, there's So Ji Sub and his eternal amused look with his sympathetic frown (it does make sense if you know what I'm talking about). Since I'm considerably new to So Ji Sub and thus I don't know him exactly well, I have to recognize he did a great job, but there's another actor that took the spotlight. Absolutely loved Kwak Do Won's acting. I saw him on Good Doctor, but his acting there is far from as good as it is in Ghost. He perfectly portrayed the frustrated and mad detective. I must agree with the awards given to the main cast. So, although I feel like taking a point off the acting, I think of both So Ji Sub and Kwak Do Won and I just can't. Lee Yeon Hee, I want to see more of your expressions. Being a pretty face isn't everything...

I took extra attention to the music ever since Phantom of the Opera's theme started playing out of nowhere. It caught me by surprise and it did scare my at first, but then whenever it played again I would just laugh. But that music isn't everything. Overall, the OST was pretty good. 10 points for P.O's sudden "Burn burn out out" at the end of one of the first episodes.

This drama exceeded all my expectations. Lately I've been into a melodrama, 16-episodes drama mood but this actually changed and surprised me. I recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of action, police-related series and really handsome boys. (y)

This is an awesome drama. Suspense with a twist. If you like City Hunter, you'll love this.

Great cast, great acting. The story line is great. Every episode is intense. The acting skills of So Ji Sub as Kim Woo Hyun is very intense and UHM Ki Joon as Jo Hyun Min played the villain so good.

The cyber world manipulating technology is also awesome. Really hope this does not happen in real life, it's frightening to even imagine.

Overall a perfect 10, a drama definitely not to be missed.

Ghost is the first Korean Drama Procedural I have ever watched. Honestly, my motivation stemmed from being a fan of So Ji Sub, which I expect isn't that unusual. But really, even though I really liked him in this drama, he wasn't my favorite character or my favorite part of the whole.

My reviews most always start with the story, or writing because without that, even good acting can't save a drama. Ghost started out with a bang in the first two episodes and I was excited. The plot line was thrilling and I was totally surprised by the twist we received right out of the gate. Then for a few episodes after that things settled in, became episodic and just a little uneven. Not bad, just a little meandering. Thankfully that did not last long and Ghost started revving it's engine. The clever plot, continuity and smart writing kept me watching and kept me thrilled to see what would happen all the way up until the VERY satisfying ending. Some Kdramas start strong and just can't keep the momentum. Ghost rushed out of gate, stumbled for a step or two then ran it's heart out and won. I loved that!

The acting was great all across the board. There was a great balance of suspense and some really funny moments. My favorite characters became "Mad Cow and the Cyber Crimes Team" !!! They had some really great moments and tons of chemistry together. The writers gave them each their own personalities and they bounced off each other so well. I liked Lee Yeon Hee as Gang Mi. It was so fun and refreshing to see a lady cop right in the thick of things, solving cases and running after the criminals. She wasn't placed in the damsel in distress category (maybe once?) she was the badarse lady cop! Daniel Choi's brief stint Gi Young was incredibly charming and cool. So Ji Sub did a good job. I wish he would have been more expressive, but over all, I do love him so and I was rooting for a good resolution for his character. Even the creepy baddies and lesser menacing characters really made me believe. (Special Mention to Lee Won Gun...face of an angel but really NOT! ...good job)

The music was well done. There isn't a catchy pop tune that stands out or that I take away from this humming or looking up on YouTube, but I don't think this drama is meant to have a take away OST. Every part of the score fit the mood and scenes just right and the Phantom of the Opera theme creeped me out! In a good way. Nicely done.

Again, Procedural is not really a genre I gravitate toward watching more than once. But I am giving the re-watch value a high score because I feel it deserves it for those who really love this type of genre.

Overall, I was completely entertained and satisfied watching this show. It has actually made me want to give other shows of this ilk another look. (Sign and Brain are two examples) I highly recommend this. I had a lot of fun biting my nails and sitting forward in my seat watching Ghost.

Overall, this drama was amazing. At first, I had hopes that it would be a romance/mystery drama, and I really wanted them to show Kim Woo Hyun (Park Gi young) and Yoo Gang Mi fall for each other while looking for the real killer. But, as the story went on the mystery was so intense that the romance didn't even matter anymore. In the end, I am glad that they didn't have the romance because it would take away the suspense of the drama itself. I would highly recommend this drama

I am basically a romantic comedy person, and there are very few action/suspense type drama which I like, some I watch and then forget, some I enjoy but not as much as romance or comedy. But this is one suspense drama that got me HOOKED from the first episode.
Like the synopsis, its about hacking and murder with hardly any romance and a speck of comedy here and there. But the suspence is so gripping you cant let go. It keeps you guessing and trying to figure whats going to happen next to the extent you just want to keep watching.
Im sure there are other similar ones, but this a first for me that had me so addicted (to a suspense drama)
The main pair is nice but the second lead pair is really cute, I enjoyed their scenes a lot.
Then ending was amazing and they finished off the drama really well. I really have to praise the writers for that..(cant say for some of the others who mess up a real good drama with a messy ending eg bag guy, big)
Well guys if you want to see a drama that keeps you on the edge then go for it!!!you wont regret it even the romantic lovers like me

Story- I think that the writer(s) of this drama was an absolute genius! Not only was it unique but it had me really tense THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH. Not one episode was boring and that's what I really like about this drama. I've skipped quite a lot of dramas after watching 1 or 2 episodes because of how slow the story moved but not with this one- no! This one I just HAD to keep watching. The endings of each episode had cliff hangers which practically forced me to. Of course there were humorous moments as well as serious ones. The main storyline was really intriguing and captivating as the main culprit's motives are revealed one by one. There are also very shocking revelations.

Acting/Cast- As for the cast, I think that they were picked out very well. The actors played their characters to their full potential. Especially So Ji Sub who was the main character of this drama, you'll have to watch it to find out why :P It's my first time seeing him act and he has left quite a good impression on me. The actors who played in the police force were also amazing! Two characters that you will remember are the Mad Cow and Boiled Potato hehe And the bad guy, he was always a step ahead of the police force and this made the story really exciting. Gang Mi was the female detective who made a very impressive lead female. She wasn't one of those girls in those dramas who just sit there looking pretty- she went out there and did everything she had to do. There are many characters who will definitely be outstanding as you progress the drama series.

Music- Hmm.. the most memorable ones are the piano soundtrack and the phantom of the opera song. I think that they could've used more songs however the ones that they did use were used VERY effectively.

Re-watch Value- I wouldn't really re watch it as I already know what happens in the end. But there is a chance that I could because of how well this drama was put together.

I can't really say much about what I disliked particularly because there was nothing that disappointed me. There isn't much romance but I wasn't really expecting any from the start so I wasn't let down.

This review doesn't do much justice to the drama :P I suggest you go and watch it now! If you don't, you are going to be missing out, what to me is, the best mystery drama of 2012.

Okay, so before I get started I would just like to address why my overall score is higher than all the individual scores. That is because to me the overall reflects more upon my enjoyment of the show while watching whereas the other scores are based more on reflecting on the show after finishing and admitting this show did have flaws just not big enough ones to take away from my enjoyment while watching (hope that made sense).

Now, let's break it down:

Story - I found the storyline of this drama both unique, compelling, and surprising. The concrete base of the plot isn't set up till the end of the second episode and let me tell you, those first two episodes? Absolutely insane. Complete rollercoaster ride full of thrill and unexpected twists and turns. They were an excellent set up for the mood and interest of the rest of the series. The following episodes were similar in a rollercoaster ride just slightly slower but still filled with unexpected turns and cliffhangers that will have you clicking on the next episode without even realizing. So best to strap yourself in tight and expect to be up all night watching. Perhaps one of the strongest points of this drama is the fact that the writers weren't afraid to take it to the next level into darker territory: there's corruption, there's betrayal, there's character deaths, and I love it. With that said, it's not flawless. Perhaps the biggest weakness was the fact that they always left you hanging. This became counter-productive when more questions were being formed than questions being answered. At times trying to remember all the dates, locations, and people involved in certain situations became muddled and confusing and thus making the storyline of what the viewer should already know sometimes a bit challenging to remember and understand.

Acting/cast - First off I would just like to give a standing ovation to Uhm Ki Joon (who played Jo Hyun Min). His acting was absolutely amazing. At first I was thrown off by his character because I was use to his light hearted character in Dream High but he pulled off the villian so flawlessly and effortlessly. Absolutely amazing. As for the rest of cast... well let's just say I wasn't nearly as thrilled. None of the cast was bad... just kind of mediocre and didn't give me the "wow" factor like UKJ did.

Music - It was pretty decent I must say. The OST in the drama is quite pleasant and one that perhaps I might consider buying in the future, it was that good. The cues for the music were likewise good; they were well placed and nicely nailed an appropriate emotion to an appropriate scene. The only downside to the music was the Phantom of the Opera song... At times it just felt a bit... cheesy.

Rewatch Value - Of course knowing the full truth it will never be the same another time around; however, I'm sure there will come a time when I will rewatch it just to reexperience some of the thrill of this show I felt the first time around.

Overall - EXCELLENT. Excellent, excellent, excellent. I would love to rewatch this drama in the future. I marathoned it up till episode 18 (which were the only episodes out at the time) and the extra four days I had to wait for the last two episodes were excruciating. Even during those four days of waiting, Ghost was all I could think about. This show was just so good that I felt I could simply not put it down till I knew the entire truth. You could say the show was captivating to say the least.

From what I seen so far, this drama is just so good. The writing, acting and the thought put into this drama is just pure genius.

If you´re a person who loves crime, horror, mystery, detective, cyberspace, and slice of real life dramas then this is for you! Ghost is a mix of every elements that a mystery lover will come to love. Daniel Choi, So Ji Sub and Eom Ki Joon´s acting are all top notch. The writing is so good and the twist in this drama will get your mind blowed in awe, so be prepared. Everyone should give this drama a try, I believe you won´t be disappointed :)

Also for everyone who came to love the japanese drama Bloody Monday, try watching this drama. The hacking, the internet-world and the cybertheme will probably draw you in cause we all can relate to it because in this day we all surronded by cybertechnology, smartphones, internet, laptop, socialnetworks and so on.

This drama got my attention since it's very different from those I've seen. The twist and unexpected scenes will capture your attention definitely. If you like solving crime stories then you will enjoy this one. Some scenes to me was repetitive and it got a little boring, but it picks up towards the end again.

So Ji Sub did an amazing job again. The main actress was alright, but I felt like she didn't really have anything to say except reconfirm what was already said by others.
