This movie was so sad! I went into this without knowing much (even though I did read the synopsis before hand, I didn't understand what it meant b/c I didn't know the terminology) and it captivated me right away - I'm glad I decided to watch this - it's worth all the tears believe me.

All the actors did so well in their roles, I didn't see them as actors I saw them as the people they were portraying, the emotions each character brought out got right to your heart and grabbed a hold of it. I became so invested in their story I couldn't pull away. The brothers were so sad - but I have to say I pitied the "Hyung" (Sang Hyun) more b/c his fate was (to me) worse than his younger brothers. This movie really makes you think and opens your eyes. "Some think they are monsters..." <that phrase got to me every time :'( and once scene made me so upset with people and how harsh and mean they can be.

The synopsis is a bit misleading as it leads you to believe this is a "love-story" but it's not, that is hardly indicated in this movie, it's much more about the brothers and their feelings, thoughts and way they have to live. Their father and mother. and wanting to let the world know through a book.

It does start off as almost like a fairy-tale but then starts to go in a different direction once the kids are born - it's almost as if the parents were in heaven and were then dragged to hell - it's really sad :'( But in the end the kids had it the worse - you can't help but have sympathy for them. My heart went out to them - especially to Sang Hyun :'(

Music was painfully beautiful - I loved it sung by all three - Sang Hyun (young) the mother and Sang Hyung (older). "The Peach Tree" song. I wish they released the 3 separate vocals for it but I only managed to find the one sung by Jo Seung Woo...

I would re-watch this even if I did feel like I cried my eyes out in the end - it was a very good movie. and I highly recommend it! But be prepared when you do and have a box of tissues nearby! :'
