Japanese Fall Doramas 2019 Kakeda Satoshi is a student of an engineering college’s department of science and engineering. He has been fascinated by science since his childhood and is an oddball who gets engrossed only in what he is interested in. Kakeda has shown no interest in love even after he got into college. Because he seeks a scientific understanding of everything, he is not one for romances which he cannot theorize. Kakeda is in love with Iijima-san, an older girl in the school cafeteria. It's very niche
I think it's a bit difficult to enjoy this drama if you are not familiar with the science-based jokes and figures which are the "comedy source" of this drama. Some of the jokes might cause cringe instead of actually making you laugh, even though I know what are they joking about. The casts are okay and so does the storyline. Nothing really stood out but it somehow made you keep continuing to watch. Music is almost non-existent, just the childish "na na na boo boo" in it.If you are a big fan of Kotaki Nozomu, this drama is basically a fan service with all the zooming in to Kakeda when he's thinking or re-enacting a historical scene about science. The drama did teach me a few stuff I haven't known before and some of the relatable jokes made it enjoyable. But I believe not many viewers can 'click' to this drama - it will be a hit or miss.
Watch if you: still remember the science stuff from school, big fan of Kotaki Nozomu, or just want to see the live action version of the manga
