There wasn't a single character in this drama that was one-dimensional, each and every character you were introduced had a unique aspect to them. It's rare to find dramas in which characters have strong individualism and consistency with their traits and personality. The writers gave a nice flow to the plot.

You could understand Koichi's frustrations and struggles as he tries to live up to his dream of becoming an equal with "geniuses" like Akari and Eren.

Honestly though I love it when there is an atypical female lead. It's what keeps me watching dramas. But sadly they are rare to find among typical "damsels in distress". But Eren was charismatic, talented, and strong. It's become so mainstream for the female lead to rely on the male lead, that actually seeing an independent character like Eren was a decent surprise. Ikeda Elaiza is now definitely gonna be an actress I am following.

The music and cinematography are not able to be explained and comprehended with words, you have to go see it for yourself. The music was what kept me watching till the very last second, it adds an atmosphere to every scene and character. Like just go watch the damn drama and you'll know what I mean.

I don't know what I am gonna watch now after this drama. It's another drama withdrawal time after Todome no Kiss.

Overall, this is an okay drama targeting younger audience with up-to-date production style featuring pretty faces as the main casts ... The story has essence in it as it is based on a real-life art directer written web manga, but somehow the script plus execution of the drama was not enough to make me feel inspired... It's closed but not there yet!!

Firstly, the good things:
1. Nice production style plus pretty faces
2. Quite well in explaining how a creative department in advertisement company is operated, as well as the people around it
3. Tried to showcase different views in carrier's goal as well as different characters of people when doing work and the stories behinds it...somehow this part remind me a bit of Juuhan Shuttai
4. I love the OP and ED songs

However, the bad things are:
1. BAD ARTWORK, BAD ARTWORK, BAD ARTWORK!!! Despite the drama is about ART, the featured artworks are mostly mediocre....this is one major drawback of this drama and it keeps bothering me to be honest...LoL
2. Acting-wise, the actors have less screen time in doing their arts. Those from the school days are not clearly shown. The recent days projects are barely shown on how they actually doing it... We never even have chance to see Eren do a decent painting....and the way she hold brushes unconvincing as hell...
3. Not only we don't see Eren do decent painting, we don't even see any masterpieces that make her deserved to be called genius...LoL
4. During the first encounter of Koichi and Eren, Koichi inspired by Eren's "graffiti" and called her genius....where did he get that from?? The art featured in the drama was not even closed to graffiti let alone genius...Yes I've seen the one used in manga, which is million times better
5. The ending has potential to come strong, but it was a meh...

..TO ALL THOSE WHO COULDN'T BECOME A GENIUS..

..first from the plot itself, I am too much related, as an artist too but not a profession, on my field of my work sometimes I am looking for a little complement or even a words of admiration too feel my worth on my work - a little motivation somehow..
.
..here an artist who work for many years but didn't receive any recognition on his works..
.
..the 3-5(?) episodes is a combination of past and present times of the ML and the FL on how they met and go apart..
.
..the FL here by the way is such a genius on all of her art but because of her past she started to change her perception on what is..
.
..the two seems like a rival - someone who will make something for himself to prove his worth, while the other one who sees something "SUCK", knowing harwork won't reach anything - perfectionist..
.
..I see here the changes of the FL 3 episodes close on the ending - where is must get match on his new boss with new team so he won't get belittle - he got more guts to work on his own not realizing a team is a must - he's still hunger for recognition for more..
.
..and as the series ends, another change of attitude happen which I expecting. . .as well as the FL after she saw all his designs and she gives more inspiration for him to continue to his work even if it is a small he can still make something for himself..
.
..though the ending itself is kinda cliffhanger questioning myself - though I am still looking for some changes in some minor casts..
.
..still I love the whole series since it is an art genre..
.
..the casts, the music, the cinematography (kinda different like the series I have watch before, like Zenkamono)..
.
..it's a masterpiece for me..

A simple yet very inspiring dorama. What I got from it is that with discipline and hard work you can achieve the level of a "genius".
Seeing Koichi struggle and get influenced by his seniors was very real.
I wished we got more of Koichi and Eren rivalry but what we had was enough.
The name of the episodes is also *chef's kiss*, just slap it on a t-shirt and I would buy it haha
Another Ikeda Elaiza dorama to add to my watched list, her character was the most different here from her other works I saw, but as usual it draws you in to her world.
