It is the spiritual sequel of the housemaid, the director calls it "an extension of The Housemaid. You can say that it’s the story of the children of The Housemaid who’ve grown up."
Both films explore themes of lust and greed and the lengths people will go to to gain money and power. The Taste of Money is a far superior film to High Society, however.
