The story is amazing! It's so sad and happy at the same time. Yano didn't deserve what happened to him. But I can't help but feel that in a way, it was his fault. And though Nana irritated me sometimes, I get that she was new at love and that's why she was confused.
All the characters were great! I had a love-hate relationship with Yano. I felt sorry for him and I knew that everything was out of his hands. But it pissed me off when he ran to Yamamoto again and again. Speaking of Yamamoto, I hate her! She made it to my character hate-list which is a big honor for her since it takes a lot of badness to get there. And she was bad. Sorry for my language but I couldn't help but think that she was a bitch.
I loved Take! I liked him more than I liked Yano and that is why I didn't want him to end up with Nana. He deserved someone who would love him as much as he would love her. And Nana loved Yano too much to ever love Take. So I wanted him to have a happily ever after. And I'm so glad he did!
The actors they picked were pretty good. Take and Yamamoto were spot on! And Nana and Yano were a bit different but they played their roles well and it didn't really bother me that much.
My favorite scene was when Yano is leaving and Nana is left behind on the train station and she gives a little speech in which, in the end, she says "We Were There". That made chills run down my spine. Yano & Nana's love was a beautiful disaster, and I loved going on this journey with them!

This review may contain spoilers
here we go with part 2, it wasn't as light & sweet as part 1 but is good!dark & twisted, so much drama but good, really good, the way they loved each other in it, the way that they kept saying goodbye, in this part it was Takahashi who I loved more.
There were so much feelings in this part that is hard to tell it or describe it with out any spoilers, so if you see the first don't miss the ending of this story, its really worth watching & falling for it

This movie has one of the best female leads I've seen so far. Takahashi is not just beautiful; she's probably the strongest, most cheerful, and honest female characters ever. She knows her feelings and she is forthright about them, without playing any games. Her strength is to be admired.
Yano on the other hand, is a contradiction. He puts on a cool exterior, but is a senstive person who struggles to handle the vagaries of life. I love both their characters.
The feel of the movie is also very good. The only thing that could have been improved is probably the ending. It was rushed and kind of a cliched filmy style. I feel like it could have been so much more. Would have made the movie perfect then.
But definitely, the movie - both parts- is a beautiful experience and is highly recommended.

Cast- The cast was the same as in the last movie. This makes me so happy. I cannot tell you how many times in the States sequels of movies will come out, and the whole cast will change. These actors and actresses did such a good job. I cried watching this second part. Their performance was just so moving. The manga got my feels, but it didn't actually make me cry.
Music- The music was pretty good. I think it fit the mood of all the scenes, which is important.
Re-watch- Yes, I will definitely re-watch both of these movies. I'm actually thinking about buying them.

The Story picks up a couple of years after where we left off in part one. Here most of the drama is about bringing the two back together, or even finding him. We find that she has been waiting for him all this time, yet he never comes, until finally she is told that he abandoned her. We see the relationship develop between the Takeuchi and Nanami, developing even further into that story plot. We also go through another tragicomic experience of Yano.
A lot happens in this film, and just shows that splitting it up into two parts was a good decision.
Acting/Casting: 9.5
As I said in the first film review, I think they should have casted different actors for the school and for this film. In this film, the casting seemed to be more appropriate towards college age and young adulthood. So compared to the first film, the cast was better suited, which is why I think they were casted in the first place, for this film instead of the first.
Music: 8.0
Just as in the first film, I didn’t really notice the music. So I do not feel like I can give a review on it, in words. Though the fact that I didn’t notice the music says a lot.
Rewatch Value: 7.5
Again, the rewatch value is a little lower than I would normally give it, mostly because a lot of drama happens in this 2 hours. It might not necessarily be a good film to rewatch all the time, but it still is a good sequel and wraps things up at the end.

Ikuta Toma made Yano come to life from the pages of manga and more. His smile is contagious. I love him!
