Owlman Saiki Takehiko is a guy who is no good at anything no matter what he does. One day, he creates an urban legend of the Owlman and starts posting these rumours on internet bulletin boards. A man dressed in a brown coat with white gloves and sunglasses calls out “Ho ho ho” on the streets at night … When the legend starts to take a life of its own, Saiki is overwhelmed by his desires and takes action to make the Owlman a reality. Iceman Kazuki cannot get accustomed to his Tokyo school. Arriving in the countryside he sees an unexpected spectacle of a “frozen kappa” in a bizarre bus that has stopped a short way off from the noise of the summer festival. He forms a bond with Nonko, a young girl he gets acquainted with over there because they are both lonely. Before long, the two of them are instructed by a big man who says he is Nonko’s father to burn the “frozen kappa”. Nonko asks as she watches the fire, “Will you protect me forever?” Kazuki couldn’t answer. And now 30 years later, he catches sight of that bus again. Dead Love Kanae Rinko is an artist who has been drawing pictures of the dead. A woman who rarely appears in public, she has finally accepted an interview. Kumiko, a freelance reporter visits Rinko’s house hoping for a scoop. Rinko has drawn a picture of an art student called Sakuta Kimihiko and Kumiko hears his story and that of Shinobu (Ishino Yoko), the girl who loved him intensely. Shinobu hoped to make Kimihiko who was already dead and married his older brother.
