- Story of growth
- Moving on from bitterness of the past, to live in the present
- Likeable, real leads
- Backdrop of a workplace
- Themed around romance, but not romantic per se
- Leads don't end up together / don't have a relationship even

Both deal with the struggle of affairs and how it affects families. The female leads both for for younger men too.

More than just romance, both have age-gap-related matters and thought-provoking issues around life and family.

Both dramas deal with two people going through difficult situations and finding comfort and support in each other. Both have characters with an age gap so the bond that they share is unlikely. Romance is something that is hinted but really its a strong friendship that is developed.

In these series, both male leads project a false persona around others. They only reveal true emotion through written correspondence with the female lead without the female lead knowing it is them. Both pairings also have a large age gap.
