Korean Heroes and Heroines of the Year 1990; segment 5 South Korean elite Air Force pilot Tae Hoon finds himself kicked out of his top-notch team and demoted into a combat unit after a cocky and dangerous air show demonstration. On the first day of his transfer to F15K, he meets Cheol Hui, the unit’s own top gun. Tae Hoon’s free-spiritedness and Cheol Hui’s rule-abiding ways come into conflict almost immediately. Meanwhile, Tae Hoon befriends the rest of the members of his new squad, including Se Yeong, whom he falls in love with. Tae Hoon continues with his antics until one day, a reconnaissance mission for the squad turns into an unexpected incident, ending in an untimely death and disappearance of a fellow teammate. The unit receives an emergency announcement that an unidentified combat plane has entered their territory, and Tae Hoon and Cheol Hui are forced to set aside their disagreements and lead their members to stop the war and rescue their missing comrade. First of all this is my very first review so if it's not helpful for you, sorry in advance!I have watched this movie twice and some scenes of movie like more than 5times so as the part of Rewatch Value, I'm giving it 10
I believe that the whole movie has lots of beautiful and breathtaking moments which make the viewer more and more interested to carry on to watching.
I was completely satisfied with the air battle moments! Coz it was extremely well made.
Rain beautifully played his role; a funny guy with lots of talents as a pilot in air force squad! the other casts were also good in their parts but the only character that I was struggling with to empathy was Yoo Se Yeong which I think has been put in the story only to add some romance but I think that part was failed to achieve the goal coz it was somehow incomplete, Irrational and meaningless.
For The music part, although I've watched this movie twice, couldn't fill any impressive music there to admire or maybe I was too focusing on Jeong Tae Hoon that didn't hear the music!(LOL)
I'm trying too hard not to put any spoiler in my review but have to say this; that I couldn't understand why the pilots didn't use the ejection device on time to prevent the risk of loosing their life in jets.
Generally I enjoyed watching R2B so much, It is a great movie and I hope that producers in Korea spend their money :p to made this kinda genre more!
I recommend it highly to all of you to watch.
