That girlfriend...

First episode was pretty good. I can already tell that Natsuki will be getting on my nerves. Why doesn't she does break up if she's so unsatisfied with Naoki. Overall, I like the cast so far.

Why did I wait so long!?

I'm doing some SERIOUS hating on the girlfriend!

But it's so CUTE that Riko's attracted to the way he dribbles! *laughs*

I wish I'd started watching this so much sooner!

Off to a good start

So far I have a good impression. This was a great establishing episode. The characters are clearly defined and their situations make you wonder how well they'll fare in future episodes. I'm hoping the same old drama cliches will be at a minimum in this drama, but who am I kidding ...

Anyway, I liked the chance meeting of the leads at the end. It was really nice. They provided encouragement for each other when they really needed it most. I'm not much of sports fan outside of European football and maybe a little cricket ... but I like romantic sports dramas. To me incorporating competitive sports heightens the overall drama because conflict occurs both within and outside the game. Curious to see how this will progress.

Hot Pink Uniforms! Nice!

To be honest, I started this because of Yamapi. Here's to hoping this drama becomes a favorite for more reasons than that one alone. ;)

So far, so good. The first episode is a quick, crisp intro to the plotline and our characters. Kamiya Naoki is a less than stellar pro-basketball player, with a low salary and no fans. Shirakawa Riko is a violinist without a job. Both are struggling to keep confident about their sport/art. Their first meeting is absolutely lovely. I don't know about their chemistry yet, but they definitely have some good rapport onscreen.

Favorite quote:
-"Riko, you went out without makeup?"
-"Yes...Moreover, I have talked to a man with no makeup on his face."
