Good story with potential wasted
I finally finished it after having it on hold for quite a few months and here is what i have to say:Story and characters: This has a lot of loopholes. The biggest and most disappointing one being Su Youlian being the saintess didn't even know much about her own clan. Like wth? You just have brute strength and no brains right? And your brain works only when making use of prince mu and manipulating li xuan? Plus both the guys sacrificed a lot for her while she gave nothing in return. Why are all the cdrama girls always like this? Next, how come the 2nd princess knew so much? She was such a complex character, god! On to another one. Li Xuan thinking that the FL was responsible for his father's death, hurt her so much, but after he regained his memories and realized everything, how come he couldn't bring himself to hurt that person? Like c'mon man, you hurt the girl for no real good reason but let go of the real criminal. There were several such loopholes everywhere and not to mention the reactions of everyone in real situations was off, again one flaw of how the story was written that simply excluded the fact that others should be surprised at certain things. The story was great in itself, except how it was executed with so much flaws. This one could've been a really great one if the plot was done justice.
Also the pacing. The initial episodes were pretty slow for a show that's gonna have just 28 in total. So a lot of time was wasted in useless stuff and that made the later ones too rushed. At times the love triangle part gave me Ashes of Love vibes for real ngl!
Ending: the later episodes were obviously rushed and needed better explanation, but it wrapped up with everyone having a happy ending.
Acting: I love Xu Kai.. he is just so charming and amazing. His character was pretty poorly written just like most others, but his acing was great. The FL could've smiled a little more. The 2nd ML was my favourite again. He did a good job, basically his character was good beyond imagination. Other actors did a pretty good job too. Now onto Lord Zi and the sword spirit, these 2 shifus were horrible. And this lord zi guy is everywhere! And he is the same evil every time ugh.
Music and others: The cgi and effects weren't bad, but nothing extraordinary either. The costumes used for the sha guo arc were very beautiful but not so much for anyone else. The music was pretty good, i liked it. Btw, i don't understand the name of the drama. Like why and how is it even related?
Anyway, overall i liked it, but wouldn't probably rewatch it. Since it's just 28 eps with the basic story being pretty good, I'd suggest giving it a try.

love the ost for this drama
ok first of, this drama in my humble opinion has a soundtrack that really can pull at my heart string , even though i had to find a translated version of the lyric to fully understand the lyric.The drama may have some problem in plot and editing but i think it affected at a minimal level, because majority towards the end many of the questions has been answered. I think the only thing they forgot or the editing department was in a rush or for some reason the Yunlao's master aka the spirit sword just vanishes with no explanations.
I know with some holes here and there in this drama but this is what happens when a story that has many chapters and plots is being cramped into less than 30 episodes. Overall, it was enjoyable to watch.

28 ep not enough!
Title - i cant relate with the title...and not that eye catching either.Story
- the first arc was interesting as it opened up the mission of the FL
- expecting something more to happen, additional side story or enhancement or even extra scenes of every scene... It was like the editing was made hastily
- final arc is predictable in the most comforting way
- tbh, thr climax didnt sustain well and hence finding it hard to wrap up the already loose end
Character
- FL grew on me throughout the story. Her acting is on point and relatable especially the parting scene in mystic land. But i do think, youlian could have been more mesmerising if the character built in stronger
- ML didnt get sufficient character growth and insight. Most of the time, the acting that carry the plot...i dont follow him after the passing of his dad. His love towards the FL most of the time felt too extraordinary to root for. It was contradicting with the part wher he accused her as murderer... Conflicts were thrown left and right but sadly it wasnt maintain
- the second pairing yunshan and XFM is earthily adorable.
- prince mu.... I tot he died but nevermind
Flow
- the flow is actually there, as in i can understand before and after but sadly not by heart. The salient point is missing which could imprint a better picture, ie the driving force of revenge/ protect, characters relationship especially ML and lord Zi... it as if i kinda knew lord zi is trying his best to compensate his wrongdoings but it was so raw...not convinced with the forgiveness scenes.
The plot itself had a huge potential for development. Acting are the driven force most of the time. Wishes more supplement scenes though.
But all in all, i completed this drama. And maybe would rewatch it again.

I wish prince MU and Miss Su a happy ending. Hate the Li xuan,s character even he is male lead. I hope writer do a few unexpected things to make the drama unique but not as usual happy ending like other dramas. overall storyline is good and reasonable. Drama contains killing which makes it more amusing. acting also good. music is ok. drama also contain some solid comedy scenes.I feel like the characters in this drama lack common sense...Li Xuan she’s of your kind
Li Xuan finds out she’s the saintess and doesn’t think back on the moment the most knowledgeable man told him this... like they don’t even try to connect dots
Hope the ending would be same as from the novel and Li Xuan chooses the long weier over su youlian

The storyline was awesome. The visuals were phenomenal! I love the underwater storyline. I love the martial arts and the fight scenes with all the fantasies of magic. Sometimes I wish we lived in that type of world. The story writer to great in this storyline. All the actresses/actors, stand-ins, and extras made this story happen. Thanks to all the production team, makeup, costumes, and structure sets... THANK YOU!

Waste of time
With the exception of Yanxi Palace and Royal Feast, Xu Kai has never been able to keep my interest long enough to finish any of his dramas. There’s now a list of dropped or on-hold dramas with him as headliner and after dropping Dance of The Sky Empire, I finally realized the reason. He’s so bloody unserious and chooses to play the same or similar character every single time. Likewise his acting skills are below those other actors who are his peers. Now, this is a subjective experience so please hold the steak knives.Undoubtedly he’s easy on the eyes which is why he has a huge fan base; conversely, he has a huge fan base which is why he, as an actor, will continue to get jobs despite lacking the acting chops.
This drama was a colossal disappointment.

Mediocre Plot, Mediocre Chemistry Acting
Summary: I’ve seen the main actors in Military Arsenal and I know how they act. If you haven’t watched many costume fantasy story, then you will like it. It’s a spin off of the same old plot from Fuyao, othe school academy theme and hidden identities.I’m giving up because the main girl cannot project well on screen. No wonder the cover photo shoot for this drama looks odd as well.
Pro:
- the graphics is way better now that in the early 2010-2018.
- story is predictable and ok
Cons:
- if you have seen the cover for the drama, then it does show the non-existent chemistry between the main characters.
- I don’t know if the main girl wants to be like the Sweet Liar drama type of girl or Fuyao/Peach Blossom type. Her facial expression is just so-so. It is not convincing at all. She did project well as a sophisticated rich girl at the Arsenal drama. With this drama, there is just that blank emotion. She was trying though.
- main actor is good.
- supporting roles were mediocre as well. Who casted these?

Öncelikle dizi cidden şu ana kadar mükemmel devam ediyor. Xu Kai`nin rolünü benimsediği çok belli, kadın başrol mükemmel. Çin ve Kore Dizilerine meraklı birisiyim özellikle. Böyle fantastik, tarihi diziler daha çok ilgimi çekiyor bu da onlar dan biri oldu. Daha dizi bitmedi ama sahnelerdeki kalite şimdiden en üst noktalarda . Özellikle başrollerin ikiside önceki dizilerinde olduğu gibi bu dizide de kendilerinden söz ettiriyorlar. Très bon Wuxia avec Xu Kai, pas trop long et bien mené.
Story : hate-love entre 1 "sainte" d'un peuple opprimé et le fils (hybride des 2 peuples) d'un général du peuple oppresseur. Une partie de l'histoire se déroule dans une académie d'élite, gérée par le maitre du ML, où est enfermé l'empereur du peuple opprimé.Dans une académie, on a les histoires classiques d'amitié, de romances, de triangle amoureux. Au dehors, de très belles scènes de fight, de super pouvoirs, de conspirations diverses.
Les images sont belles, le rythme est rapide et les OST sont surprenantes mais très adaptées et intéressantes.
L'histoire est un peu "tordue", je n'apprécie pas trop la FL, mais l'ensemble (surtout grâce à Xu Kai qui porte littéralement la série) est agréable.
