Beautiful and Heart warming
Highly recommended.First Thai drama that i actually followed from start to finish, everything for me was perfect.
From the cast to the music, especially the chemistry. I understand it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but this show left a lasting impression for me. I was crying for most of the last few episodes and sometimes i don't even know if it's because of the story or because it's almost ending. But after the last episode i actually felt happy and content with their story.
The story was great, i guess i liked it because it's not just romance but life affirming too (which i guess why some people doesn't like it) like i feel like the characters are real that's why it's harder to move on. It wasn't too slow for me, i feel like their relationship was moving in a realistic pace.
The music will give you LSS (last song syndrome), especially the one from the last episode.
The cast and acting for me was great especially the way they act with their eyes, just small movement but you can see the difference in emotion.
AGAIN I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. It may not be as perfect for you as it was for me, but i hope you'd give it a chance and keep an open mind. I love love the ending already so i'm not too keen for a season 2, but i would like a special episode or a movie maybe just so we can see the villagers reaction when Tian came back and how they'll live their life there.

The best show I've ever watched
and I'm not only counting in BL shows because this series is so much more than just a love story between two guys.It is a story about the valuables and hardships of life, to learn how to forgive yourself, finding out and accepting your sexuality and to realize what your heart is longing for and where your place in the world is.
The whole scenery of the village and the strong bond that has developed between Tian and the villagers is so beautiful to watch and brings you to the edge of tears.
It is also great to watch Tians progression from start to end and the very meaningful act at the end of the last episode really highlights that. (not gonna say what exactly happed, you should just watch yourself ;))
Onto what I guess the majority of people makes them want to watch the story, the relationship between Phupha and Tian. These two have so much chemistry you need to remind yourself from time to time that this is just a series and not real-life. I'm so happy that they did not rush their relationship just to please the audience, they waited up the right timing for the kiss and them becoming lovers to wrap up the story perfectly and to really bring out all the emotions! Besides that you could already feel the feelings they have for each other way before that making this series being packed with a bunch of sweet moments that make you swoon over them.
This series deals with a lot of different kinds of issues that actually made me rethink my own life and realize that I as well need to look for what really makes me happy.
Summing up I would not recommend this series to whoever is looking for something light-hearted with a bunch of horny kissing and bed scenes. But I'm confident that anyone who is ready to watch a beautiful love story between to people and characters who develop mentally and learn something important for their own life will have an awesome time watching this series!
Thank you for reading my review and (hopefully) have a great time watching if you haven't already!

Perfect
Everything about this series just so perfect. Not just some high school love story that’s so cliche. Their relationship are so pure and healthy, not focusing on sex only like portrayed by some series. The osts are also very great. Don’t forget to prepare a lot of tissues anyway while watching. The storylines are so beautiful and the characters portrayed perfectly by every single actor and actress. A really good job done by the director, the crews and actors. This series really raise the standard in BL. Honestly speaking this series deserves more recognition from everywhere in the world. Was this review helpful to you?
THE BEST BL OF 2021
This is EarthMix' first BL and they did it so well! The series is very different from any BLs that I have watched - the storyline is unique especially the setting! The series is set in a remote village in the countryside of Thailand - away from the city and technology. The vibes it gives off is really healing that's why I loved it very much. It also talks about Thai culture, traditions, and history which made me love it more! It's just a bummer that the series didn't feature much OSTs but overall it's good, it's actually (so far) the best BL series of 2021!Was this review helpful to you?
The title track was best among the bl I have ever heard of.
Good acting but I felt one of the protagonist acted a little less compared to other, but not a major flaw and all .
Plot line was good, at first I didn't have a good impression when I read the plot before watching, but after watching it felt one of good bl in 2020-2021,at par with I told the sunrise about u.
Phupha acting was so good, and the simplicity of the village felt nice too. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

IT'S A FICTION
as we know, this series is adapted from a novel, and we know that novel is a fiction. When we talk about fiction, it is something that we create or imagine. some fiction based on logics, while some donts. To produce a good story, it's good to follow the logics too. I find some people gets too serious when reviewing something. I don't study arts so my review will be based on what I get from the series.Acting - i can't deny Earth is good, like he improve so much for this series. For Mix, i don't have any word to describe how excellent he is, but i hope he didn't put too much pressure on himself, we it's hard to do a crying scene.
Music - some series put unnecessary music /bg sound, but this series handle it very well. The music fits the scenes very well. Good job to the editor team.
Storyline - everyone had their own personal opinion but for me, the storyline is almost perfect. Back to what i said about logics. According to law, Tian actually indirectly kill Torfun but we must remember this is a fiction. Not all fiction based on logic. The writer can make a sad ending if she wants, maybe Tian end up getting prosecuted, but it's just a fiction. It would be more realistic if it goes thay way. i could say that this series is actually a mature one. You don't need a toxic character, you don't need exes or shits like that to make the main characters realize they had feelings for each other. Phupa's jealousy is not over and just sweet. This series really teach you how to listen to your heart. And i love how Tian still decided to go to US eventhough he might not be able to see Phupa, a mature love need sacrifices.
This is only my opinion, thank you <3

GO WATCH THIS RIGHT NOW OR ELSE!!<3
Let me just start by saying that i am NOT a person who usually takes the time out of their day to write lengthy reviews, short reviews or any form of reviews for that matter. After watching this series, i had no choice but to come on here and write this lengthy review so forgive me in advance if i jump all over the place. If you're waiting for a sign to watch this series because you are on the fence about watching it, here it is. GO WATCH!<3Review:
I. AM. IN.LOVE.WITH.THIS.SERIES!!!I've seen my fair share of BLs, and i can say that none has come close to the magic that was created in this series. I literally just finished watching this series with tears rolling down my face and all i can say is WOW!!This is truly a Love story, one written so well and portrayed marvelously by Mix and Earth like i literally cannot picture any other actor playing Tian and Phupha than them. Mix has done an outstanding job in this series. he portrayed emotions so raw and beautiful in every scene, some might even argue that he carried the show on his back lol. Earth did what he had to do too. Absolutely loved watching his growth throughout the entirety of the series. Their chemistry, intensity, longing for one another has been felt throughout the of this series. Im not going to lie, i decided to watch it partly because they are both very beautiful men. I can say without a shadow of doubt that this series is THE best BL I've had the pleasure of watching . It was so refreshing seeing Thailand getting away from the university trope story/settings they usually do in their BLs and venturing out of their comfort zones. Everything flowed organically, nothing was forced. from the story, to the acting to the amazing soundtrack, everything is so beautifully done that i could stop myself from coming on here to express my heartfelt gratitude towards all of the cast, actors, actresses and team that came together to create this story.
I would like to take this time to just talk about the ending. I knew they would inevitably have some form of fight but I was not emotionally ready to watch them go through it given how their characters are so warm, gentle, caring, loving, expressive and in love with each other. Ive never watched a BL who simultaneously ripped my heart to shreds shortly after fixing it and make it whole all in the spam of one episode. I was literally crying waterfalls. If i learned anything from this show is that you can find happiness in the simplest of things and also dont jump to conclusions until you know all of the facts to avoid heartache. !!!!SPOILER!!!!Also that kiss at the end gave me EVERYTHING i never knew i needed. their embrace. their exchange of words and their hug! you could literally feel the love radiating off of them. Im glad they saved it till the end. so Many emotions swept over me :(
In conclusion, If you're a true lover of BL then i have no doubt you will adore this series as much as I do. EarthMix is now one of my favorite ships. My Fridays will now have no meaning.

The dark horse of current BL series
There is no dramas can be as romantic as ATOTS.Before watching this series, there were only a couple of bl series I’ve watched. Most of them usually have a stereotype kind of setting that 2 young men fall for each other in university. However, ATOTS is innovative.
By watching the series I can feel that the love between the character is really intense through Earth and Mixs’ acting. There was non of any drama could makes me feel that way. While watching the last episode I literally bursted into tears from the start and throughout that whole 1+hour.
Overall, the story is innovative, inspiring, touching. The acting of both main roles and supporting roles are great. The music is cohesive and never tired to hear. Would definitely rewatch it over and over again.
This masterpiece is so underrated. Highly recommend this to every one!

You'll fall in love with this
Actually, I knew this was going to be an awesome and warm TV show the moment I watched the trailer. But who would have thought it would exceed my already high expectations? If you’re pondering whether to watch ATOTS, no need to ponder anymore - just start watching. I promise you won’t regret! :)I don’t know what to start praising more - magnificent acting and the chemistry between the two main characters? The beautiful scenery where this story was placed? The story that really grabbed my heart from the very start and didn’t let go till the very end? Or the extraordinary OST that perfectly completes this unforgettable work?
I cried, I laughed and it made me feel emotions not many shows can make me feel. It brought such a warm feeling that I won’t ever forget. Definitely going to give A Tale of Thousand Stars a re-watch :)
Hoping and impatiently waiting for season 2! :)

A MASTERPIECE
I am beyond grateful that this series was introduced to me from the very beginning. This series started off strong and end perfectly. It left me dazzled because at first i didn't expect much but thank you for the productions' effort, they did a very good job. The cast, song, plot and others are on another level and exceeded my expectations which i am not complaining. I must also state that this is the best BL series that I've watched in my life. I am speechless and to those who haven't watch this yet, you MUST watch. Was this review helpful to you?
The place that fits you, will let you grow
I remember waiting for years, for this drama to air. I still remember, a lot of censorship issues happened in Thailand for it. I was praying for years for it not be cancelled, and finally it aired this year. From episode one to episode 10, it's so freaking beautiful. My favorite scene is the kite flying scene. It was soooo freaking beautiful, that I almost teared up. haha. Also the location of this drama is so magical. I don't know how to describe it, everything is just tooo beautiful. The ending is so good. My favorite line - "The place that fits you, will let you grow"

"You are the star that falls to me"
A heartwarming story that not only focuses on love romance between two people but also serves all types of love (romantic, friendship, family), it is about finding one's self value in the world, our purpose of living, the search for knowing self-worth, and the quest to be a part of a community that connects you with both people and nature. It is indeed a masterpiece storytelling of Tian's journey on how he found the true meaning of happiness in life.I can't believe that Mix is a rookie actor, he is so good on portraying his role. Pure talent. I love him! And of course, Earth also gives us another loveable and well build character, he is so good on his acting. Earth even manages to delivered the small details that plays a vital role in the concept of the story. Both of them and the rest of the cast is such a good set of actors, no doubt! Convincing and natural acting without a single cringe moment.
The story is very fresh coming from a Thai BL Drama. It's been a while since the last time I've feel so much connection to a show. Someone pointed out that it should be "A Tale of Thousand Stares" instead of "Stars" hahaha omg yeah, I definitely agree. The couple staring at each other is enough to make your heart scream, all they have to do is to look on each other with their cute and flirtatious eyes, and the world is shaking and massively sends us butterflies. Chief Phupha and Tian chemistry is on that kind of level. Besides, I really love Chief Pha's jealous expression, he's the cutest.
Every episode is wholesome! From beginning till the end, it was obviously well written and executed. It was worth the long wait. Every little details in this drama works, from the acting, dialogues, scenes, plot, everything!
One of my fave scene in the early episode of the series was their sleeping scene, it is so pure and soft. There's no sex involved, just Phupha wanting to know more about Tian and vice versa.
Another memorable episode is when Tian talks about his feeling to his best friend. The use of words is straight to the point yet effective, probably the best way to discuss that love isn't all about gender. Also, I am happy that there are no too much issue about his parents regarding Tian's sexuality.
Most importantly, I am super-duper touched and cried for how the villagers slowly welcome Tian to be part of their community, not just an ordinary teacher but a member of their large family. From this episode, Tian finally able to have a place he considers his home.
Every episode also sustains us real life lessons. The statement presented in the end of each episode is very warm and pleasing to feel. Again, aside from "A Tale of Thousand Stares," this should also be renamed as "A Tale of Thousand Tears." Starting in the episode 8 where Tian told about Torfun's death and her heart, everything next to it was just me and my tears. At once, I hated Phupha for letting Tian took all the blame and has the audacity to be angry on Tian's lie, wherein the first place he's the one started to lied by keeping the information about Torfun's death to everyone aside from his colleague. I can't take seeing baby Tian in pain, he miraculously survives every reckless and unexpected scenario he encounters despite having a heart transplant few months ago, yet he was misunderstood by those he considers as his family. Tian, you deserve all the love in the world but please don't keep me worrying about your health haha.
On the other hand, the antagonist of the show is the man conducting an illegal logging and all sorts of illegal activities he wants to do. I must say that this is also a well tackled realistic issue that often happened at rural places. The bad market monopoly and those who have enough power to do bad things, these matters plays some significant ideals on how things works in real life. Also, Tian's change of career is relatable; always think harder for the careers you must pursue. As much as possible, it must be connected with your own dream and passion with the mindset of being practical in the making too.
Goodbyes are always meant to be happened, sooner or later, but I am so grateful that I've become one of those who finishes this masterpiece drama. I love this show and I'm contented of not having a second season because the ending is good enough. Also because, if season 2 happened, the possibility of ruining the first season may appear. I'm just hoping for another EarthMix project!
OMG. I write too much hahaha. Lastly, the OST and other music in the series is so beautiful, perfect for such a work of art drama.
A Tale of Thousand Stars allow us to understand that finding a place that fits you, must be a help for you to grow and achieve living in happiness.
