Really really loved it

This is a completely different series compared to the ones I usually watch, but I'm so glad I finally decided to watch it. At first, I had some doubts about it, and after the first episode, I stopped halfway through, but I still felt like I wanted to continue watching it, and I'm really glad I did.

Personally, nothing similar has happened to me or to people in the story, but I believe that if someone can relate, it might resonate even more with them than it did with me. This drama was heartfelt, instructive, funny, and very beautiful. Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Yea Ji are extremely beautiful people, and they fit so well together. Oh Jung Se played his role just wonderfully, that seeing him as himself in the end was almost weird to watch. I really liked the dynamics between Moon Kang Tae, Go Mun Young, and Moon Sang Tae, especially towards the end, but also the relationship between Kang Tae and Mun Young. I also liked all the hospital patients and staff (except for the bad ones), and I liked seeing that everyone is human and doesn't need to be treated differently. I knew that before, of course, but it was nice to see it in the series. Also, the stories of each patient and the main characters, and their childhoods - they really made me think about real life and how many different people and stories everyone has, and at the same time, how strong they are.

I also really liked the series visually, how one of the patients had a memory on the bus and how it was put together, as well as all the transitions from one place to another, etc.

I really wish these books were real and available in my country, and that more of them would come out.

The story was really beautiful, and I believe there may be those who may not like such a series, but I recommend giving it a chance.

A Masterpiece in K-Drama Storytelling"

"It's Okay to Not Be Okay" stands as a pinnacle in the realm of Korean drama, earning my enthusiastic rating of 100/10. From its inception, the series intricately weaves a tapestry of emotions and storytelling that captivates the audience with unprecedented brilliance. The characters, portrayed with finesse, undergo profound development, drawing viewers into their intricate lives. What sets this drama apart is its unflinching exploration of mental health issues, handled with a rare sensitivity and authenticity.

The narrative unfolds like a well-crafted novel, each episode adding layers to the overarching theme. The chemistry between the lead characters is not just romantic but an emotional anchor that elevates the entire viewing experience. The cinematography and soundtrack seamlessly complement the storytelling, creating an immersive atmosphere that lingers even after the screen fades to black.

Beyond mere entertainment, "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" becomes a guide through the labyrinth of human emotions. It dismantles societal taboos surrounding mental health, fostering empathy and understanding. The series serves as a testament to the power of storytelling in raising awareness and challenging preconceptions.

In a landscape saturated with dramas, this masterpiece shines brightly, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to embark on its emotional journey. To rate it anything less than a perfect 10 would be an injustice to the exceptional craftsmanship and emotional resonance it brings. In the vast universe of K-dramas, "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" stands tall as an unforgettable, transformative experience that transcends the screen.

Unlocking Mental Marvels

"It's Okay to Not Be Okay" captivated my senses like a mesmerizing spell. This K-drama ingeniously dances between dark psychological depths and heartwarming hilarity. Its magnetic pull lies in the enchanting chemistry between Moon Gang-tae (Kim Soo-hyun) and Go Moon-young (Seo Ye-ji), whose eccentricities stitch together a tapestry of emotions.

The narrative is a bold plunge into mental health complexities, wrapping them in a cloak of whimsical storytelling. From laugh-out-loud therapy sessions to poignant moments of self-discovery, the show paints an evocative canvas of human fragility and resilience. The artful blend of fantasy and reality adds a surreal touch, mirroring the labyrinthine corridors of the mind.

While the journey is near-magical, a tad more brisk pacing could have kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Yet, this minor hitch barely dims the brilliance. With its kaleidoscope of emotions, "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" is a riveting exploration of inner battles, graced with performances that evoke hearty laughs and heartfelt tears. It's a heartful reminder that even amidst chaos, laughter can be the best medicine for the soul.

It will leave a footprint in your heart

I HIGHLY recommend everyone to watch this!!!
The title itself is well justified with the storyline 1000x
The way the writers have dealt with the very SENSITIVE subject of MENTAL ILLNESS and AUTISM SPECTRUM is by far so APPLUDIBLE ??
The writer has SKILFULLY employed COMEDIC relief, HEARTBREAKING moments and gives viewers like me the time to really INVEST in all the characters, their STRUGGLES, their VULNERABILITIES and the ROMANCE....
It really shows the MENTAL and EMOTIONAL stress on CAREGIVERS and their need to also be taken care of sometimes gets FORGOTTEN ?
I felt that this drama was able to ACCURATELY, SENSIBLY and REALISTICALLY DEPICT these struggles ?
So much EMOTION and LAUGHTER from start to finish while biting the tips of my fingers just waiting to see what will happen next was WORTH every nail lost ???

An addictive and well thought out story.

When I first started this show, it felt a bit slow, I struggled through certain episodes because it felt quite long through some of them. Thankfully I've gotten through most of it and I will say it was definetly worth my time. At first, I was convinced that Munyeong's mother was Park Ok Ran, for the longest time it seemed possible. However, the twist of it being Park Haeng Ja was also a quick thought that I had. When it had happened however it still surprised me because it never really settled in much. Nearing to the end of it and I will say it is an extremely addicting Kdrama to watch!

Themes of family and found family support tricky depictions of neurodiversity and mental health

Man, with this plot and these characters, it could have gone so very wrong. But the writing, casting, and acting made it all feel organic and built up to a really satisfying conclusion. The themes of family and found family work together to help support the often tricky depictions of neurodiversity and mental health. Chemistry between the three leads was perfect. Bonus points for artwork.

Muito recomendado! Personagens super bem trabalhados...

Beautiful

It is a beautiful drama throughout. Both leads are so beautiful together and separately, the scenes are beautiful , the intro is as well... I think the word fits it all perfectly .
Yeah, it can get a bit over-the-top almost cliched, however it still holds.
Great production, interesting screenwriting , very talented cast that suits well the drama, nice soundtrack. The acting is very alive and captivating. And absolute kudos to the costumes, the FL is a vision, so whoever was in charge of dressing her did an excellent job.
I am reviewing this upon rewatching it, and will probably rewatch again in a few years :)

Award won leading actress

After winning the best actress award I would say just watch to see why, but after watching this 3 times front to back you would say must be good and it is, yes it does have some weak spots one the mother so changed her own daughter can’t recognize her is a reach, her mother being the head of the nursing is a stretch, the father is a hard buy, but the leads brings us a great time and the brother is one hard act to follow so just watch it. This movie has brought the lead actress to the top of the list her value has increased that says a lot on how good this drama is, supporting cast performances were great the ending is why I rewatch if your going to invest 16 hours then you need to have a ending that you can say satisfied and rewarded the time spent and this one does.

My first K drama

This was my first Korean drama which allowed me to immerse myself into the world of the imaginable beauty of Korean scenery, music and storytelling. It’s okay to not be okay is a captivating story about growing and healing. I loved how the writers dealt with mental health issues and how the actors delivered all the hidden messages. Aesthetics of this show are from another dimension. The story was so beautifully woven and wrapped, like a cup of hot tea on a freezing night. The soundtrack is one of my favourites. Do not hesitate and watch it!

A Deeply Emotional Journey

"It's Okay to Not Be Okay" has firmly established itself as one of my all-time favourite dramas, a sentiment reaffirmed by a recent rewatch. The series excels in every aspect, delivering a beautifully crafted narrative that is touching and carefully planned. What stands out most is the chemistry between the male lead (ML) and female lead (FL), both compelling and deeply moving, providing a strong emotional core to the story.

Each episode, with its blend of main and side stories, masterfully evokes a range of emotions, often bringing me to tears. The way the drama intertwines personal struggles with broader themes of mental health and healing is both educational and heartrending. This is a standout drama that combines excellent storytelling with powerful performances, making it a must-watch for anyone looking for a deeply emotional and thought-provoking series.
