DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS DRAMA, ITS NOT ABOUT ROMANCE...

PLEASE DONT BOTHER WITH THIS DRAMA, WHOEVER WROTE THE STORYLINE NEEDS TO GER FIRED THIS IS THE MOST DAMN CONFUSING DRAMA EVER LOL ! it starts off which some potential and sounds interesting... Like alien male lead is on a mission to bring back the stone from his planet and a fellow member from his planet. The female lead is a young, naive who interest is drawing manga. She initally believes the male lead came out from her manga... but the male lead is not from the manga but indeed an alien. Basically it talks about there encounter, but he kidnaps her first and totrures her.
The female lead is just loud and annoying.

The second male lead is the other member from the planet and he is evil ? I mean he tries to kill the female lead to get the stone of her. The only way that the stone can be taken is if she was killed. Then it somehow links to the past of the female lead. Her dad died in a fire a long time ago. I forgot to mention each alien has a distinct power. Male lead can control minds, the second male lead can form to any body. So basically the female lead loses her memory when she was young due to the male lead, saving her from the fire. Once he gets in touch with fire, he starts to lose his powers and starts to become transparent.

This drama DOES NOT do a good job in explaining whats happening and the motives. She finally understands the male lead is trying to protect her in like the 19 episodes.... The story unfolds weirdly. SO PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Love on a star!

Surprised at the negative reviews, so guess it’s one of those dramas that you either love or hate.
Well I loved it. Thought it was cute and funny. It did get a bit confusing at times but on the whole I enjoyed it. Although t was more or less expecting it to end the way it did I was also slightly disappointed. It was sort of left open as if there might be another series. I liked the music, it was kind of catchy. The FL and Ml played their parts well and I liked that the FL showed she wasn’t going to be bowed to achieve her dreams. Yes, overall it was lighthearted but think that was the intention,, it certainly cheered my days up!

no chemistry between leads although they are both cute. i shipped ML with SML more lmao, they seem to have that spark especially around the end. writers did a bad job, it had similar vibes to mgiaa and i was thus looking forward to it but there's no comparison. the plot was non existent and weird. even if i put my brain aside and just focus on the cute fluffy moments, i can't- cuz there aren't any???? they had a chance to redeem themselves in the middle part but they just could not pull it off. the drama is simply unnecessary and i finished it just for the sake of finishing it.

underrated drama

I was suprised with all the negative comments about this drama. I really enjoyed it and wasn´t bored a single moment. There are definetly better dramas out there, but that doesn´t make this drama bad or anything. Maybe the only downside was that it became a bit the same over and over again. The FL did never listen to the ML, but I actually really liked that about her! I love it when the FL is a bit stubborn (for the better). Besides, the acting was really good and there were a few scenes like in the hospital when the ML was taken over. Man, how amazing must it have been to act something like that. loved it. You should definitely try it

IF YOU LIKE COMIC BOOKS THIS IS PERFECT FOR YOU

Being a female fan of sci-fi, comic books and a graphic novels lover, I have to say that there are several reasons to love this show. And I loved every bit of it.

First of all - if you seek romance in the classic sense you may be a little off track. But, if like me, you have had enough of US explicit shows and turned to Asian dramas for subtlety and implying rather than "being given" ideas in your face - you will enjoy this show a lot.

I like the clumsiness of the main leads in the physical and psychological sense. The FL is not your typical perfect type (and that is very cool) and the ML has no idea of romance (also kind of interesting). They navigate through their lives and own personalities being somewhat purely innocent - each in their own way.

Tian Jue may be noisy, undecided and childish. But, hey - she is 20, she draws comics, has no real home, no job and rather wooly memories of the past. Given her back story and circumstances - she is a perfect example of what happens to many dreamy 20 year olds these days. Not many are seriously ready to become employees, leave home, or else make educated decisions about their future. So why can't she be that bubbly young creator who has no idea what the day will bring? Does she have to have perfectly coiffured hair and trendy clothes? Also, she has to be presented as naive to let the plot develop into what starts as gullible kidnapping...

An Bai Ye may be the total opposite with his handsome polished looks and his matter-of-fact attitude. He is a control freak alien, with years of practice commanding others, and (a tiny spoiler) special abilities embedded alongside military like upbringing on a different planet. So - what do you expect?

Lost in accidental circumstances and in shock at first, they both grow up and learn about themselves and, in consequence about each other. They grow to overcome differences and find a true feeling, which turns out to be rather mature, despite their lack of experience.

I loved the fact that Tian Jue turns out to be very funny, clever, curious and independent. I enjoyed An Bai Ye's inexperienced response to his feelings. I think it was the necessary understatement, unknown in regular romantic dramas. I think it adds some unexpected tension and it its worth the wait. It also taps well into moments when we felt uneasy about our relationships, decision making and looking at the future.

To fill whatever gaps one may have found in the main leads' relationship, there is a pair of Bai Sen Sen and Yun Xiao Yi who have it easy to connect. So they can compensate to those who lacked romantic chemistry.

But, above all, this show has a great amount of screen time devoted to comic books from the artistic process involved, through editing to public response and promotion. And I have never seen anything like it. It's actually very educating. The reference to the traditional Chinese brush painting being neglected in the mainstream is almost too painful to take in. The run-off-the-mill comic production against deadlines, the freer dress code allowed within the workplace, the aggressive fandom - show the usually inaccessible world of comic making. There is also this heavy focus on skill training vs. "just talent". All these tiny details are a treasure to me.

Regarding the sci-fi element, I think the show is subtle enough not to spoil a vague idea of an alien planet. I prefer it this way to revealing too much. So far, the setting on Earth makes a good enough excuse, and the hints in 002 and 019's behaviour are sufficient to leave the rest to our imagination. I also believe that the medium of comic panels by Tian Jue does a much better job introducing the alien element than the active plot. I think it's actually very clever. Some things are left in the 2nd dimension.

This is a great show. I am afraid that whoever watched a couple of episodes and gave up - might have missed on the development of the good stuff. I hope there will be season 2. Can't wait, to be honest.

If you're looking for a RomCom, this is more comedic than it is romantic

The focus of this drama is not on the romance, it's more about the comics, the aliens, and the adventure. They smooshed in the leads exploring romance literally in the last few episodes just so we'd all be crying at the parting.

The ending was really a what the heck moment . I'm not sorry I watched it. I gave it a generous 7.5 just because I happen to like sci-fi and I don't think there are enough of that in c-dramas. I'd love to see this more fleshed out and to see a second season but I'm not holding my breath.

The music was really what works for this drama and I'm surprised that it got so many touching song moments in one series.
