My Girl is funny, cute, generally not frustrating, and there are great friendships and side couples as well. Yes, the premise is really far-fetched and the female lead's disorder being described as PTSD seems inaccurate. Meng Hui, the female lead, has a second personality that is triggered by emotional distress, and these episodes conclude only when her goal is fulfilled. What this sets up is the opportunity for a bold, fearless Meng Hui to emerge, and this version of Meng Hui was so fun to watch. Lia Jia Qi really shines in this role, and it wasn't until I looked her up afterwards that I realized she played Xiao You in the 2018 Meteor Garden remake! Anyways, if you can suspend your disbelief and accept the premise, this drama is really fun and enjoyable.
As for the male lead, Zhao Yi Qin has had a stream of dramas come out recently but this is the only one I've seen. His character, Shen Yi, is extremely stingy, which is really funny to watch, but he's also consumed by guilt. A major part of his storyline is unraveling that guilt and it's a bumpy road. I was definitely yelling at the screen at some of his actions, and at around episode 17 this storyline gets really messy. I wish it had been resolved with more honest conversations.
I loved Fan Zhi Xin as Sui An, Shen Yi's best friend. He starred in Mountains and Ocean and had a supporting role in Eternal Love of Dream, and I definitely want to see more of him! His friendship with Shen Yi was one of my favorite aspects of the drama, and it has its own complications. I was glad this drama didn't go the love triangle route and that he had his own romance storyline, but I thought it was underdeveloped. I didn't feel like I saw the connection and feelings forming from his side. Pu Tao (who was great in last year's lackluster Fall in Love) was also great as Meng Hui's friend Ah Tao, except that as a therapist, I thought she should've been helping Meng Hui face and resolve her issues to stop the episodes from occurring. I loved that Ah Tao is confident and fierce, and that she falls for a soft boy, but I hated that the ending implied that as their relationship develops, their dynamic needs to change???
Wei Lei was the best surprise of this drama. I appreciate that she wasn't a one-dimensional villain and leave it at that to not spoil anything! Also, I liked seeing Yi's company's employees and it was great that they were a variety of ages.
Lastly, I love the ending song 极星 (My Polar Star) by 陈雪燃 Chen Xue Ran! I thought his voice sounded familiar, and realized that he sang the opening song of Go Go Squid, 无名之辈 (Nameless Generation).

Well sorted plot.
So I just took a break from kdramas to watch something cringey cause of all the serious stuff I had been watching. I took this up by the title cause I felt that it might be cringey but boy was I wrong(not entirely). There were some cringey stuff here and there in the initial episodes. But the story was really well made. The characters were written so well and the casting was just perfect. So the story is like the ML is a ceo of a cosmetic company and the FL is a makeup artist, makeup blogger and influencer. She has a stress disorder which causes her into believing and living into someone that she actually cant be in reality. Even though it could look like a weakness but its more like a strength for her. Because whenever someone puts her down or tells her that she cant get this or be that, her disorder triggers. Gladly the ML is a gentleman and when he realises the reason behind her triggers, helps her into being her pretend boyfriend. Although he tries not to spend money and save money everytime which is surprising knowing that he's a rich guy. Meng hui's scar is something brings them together. Then Shen Yi realises she's the same girl who he hurt accidentally in the past and the scar is the memory of that incident. Though Meng Hui tries to stay positive and reassures people around her that she has forgotten the past and doesnt care about the scar but beneath she is still is effected by the scar. Now people might say that the scar is not that big of a eyecatcher but I guess thay couldnt just distort the heroine's face and also the fact that you cant judge what imperfection on one's face can cause someone insecure and vulnerable. Anyway, they really built good character development among the leads and everytime she switched to her other self it was such edgy and very unpredictable to what she would become. Hilariously, the staff of the LS planning department( and the 3 people of the crew of the beauty contest) always took whatever s#it happened everytime. One flaw is that how could they add anyone in the middle of the show cause of an absence of a contestant. They could of thought of some other way for ML to find out of the scar. But I guess they wanted it to look shocking and dramatic. Nevertheless they had some very sweet moments throughout the story. And the chemistry is really great. I saw some bts and they look really good together. Moving on to the other couples, I'll tell you that this is the what I love about chinese dramas. The second leads also get some happiness and love. No friendzoning. The psychiatrist-assistant couple was really cute. They were totally different character wise but were set well. The boy being passive and always being made fun of while the girl taking the wheel building this relationship. And him slowly realising that he loves her and wants to protect her. He was such a fluffy boy. The plastic surgeon-model couple were great together. Irony is that they looked mature and rather more experienced in dating stuff but were the slowest to progress haha. Overall good drama with some wholesome romance. Was this review helpful to you?
This drama is a something new for me.. because the story in here is very different. The female lead, Meng Hui is a make up artist, but suffering a PTSD and it makes her become another personality at random and she has a scar in her face (oh yes, a scar on the face is really big problems in china) that make her suffering for years. She got this because of an accident when she was a kid. Although I don’t understand anything about physiological things, but this kind of story is really interesting yet confusing because I can't imagine how the female lead going through this kind of pain for years. And the male lead, Shen Yi is the main reason because of it. He is the CEO of cosmetic company, and he tried really hard to make a liquid foundation to cover the scar for the girl who he hurt before. Both of them have their own difficulties and struggles, and when they both fall in love, you know that it will make a different kind of emotions.
So, watching this drama you will feel happy, sad, regret, and cried too. You want they are together but at the same time you will feel bad to the female lead too.
And i wish they for the another drama with same cast

a little ridiculous yet addictive
Firstly, I really dislike the ML’s character, urgh. Like he’s so full of lies, I’m surprised the girl even forgives him and still trust him afterwards. I do understand that he felt guilty when Xiao Ba appears and he thinks that she was the one from his childhood. Still, the way he left Meng Hui alone to care for the girl is annoying. He also has been such a lying jerk throughout the entire series.Next, I kind of dislike the plot where they marry when Meng Hui isn’t fully herself. Did he not consider the fact that she might regret it when she returns to herself?
That said, I liked the leads as a couple. They look good together. I think that they look more natural and comfortable considering this is their second time working together.
I also like the other two couples and their office colleagues as they’re all super loving and encouraging. Although I would like to see more of Sui An and Wei Lei, which the show didn’t really focus on. ):
Overall, it was a decent drama if you ignore all the plot holes and watch for the casts.

cringe more parody than comedy small girls focused
thanks mine aversion to chinese language its mine first cdrama after long time.Truly cdrama got totally different feel than kdrama mainly in sense of humour they are closer to japanese from what I seen. Dont look much for logic, but that un-logical weirdness will make you laugh at least.
I think this drama is split into two different types :
first few eps are humorous and very often I felt like little girl to watch this drama had to stop and breathe to calm alot too. Alot of cringe.
in middle of drama it slowly changes into normal romance drama where I could feel like that drama was finally upgraded from pegi 13 to pegi 18 .]
plot - when male lead was young he damaged face of little girl he feels responsible and blames himself for it. Its why he becomes CEO of makeup company and tries create makeup to completely hide scars.
Female lead is woman with scar and PTSD from trauma. Here PTSD works somehow weirdly I would rather say its some kind of DID sickness. Female lead under stress changes her nature and does alot weird things.
Whole story goes from how those two meet and romance between them and their friends.
Whole drama got few completed romance storylines.
Genre - comedy more to parody, romance.

BEST CDRAMA OF 2020
I recently watched My Youth and have loved the pair so much I immediately jumped into watching this and was not disappointed. I loved every single thing about this drama. You can see how much JiaQi and YiQin improved. There were a few plot holes that could be easily overlooked but the whole flow of the story was not draggy unlike other cdramas. There were no unnecessary back stories. The three couples had great chemistry and were easy on the eyes that you'll fall in love them. (No ugly haircuts thank god). Even the supporting characters like the office folks were interesting and i loved the quirky details that the producer put.I just wanna say Zhao Yi Qin and Li Jia Qi's chemistry is INSAAANEE! I love them so much together that I'm wishing for a third drama for the pair. They didn't look awkward at all and were very comfortable with each other, especially with the number of kiss scenes this drama has. They delivered everything perfectly. This drama made me laugh, cry and feel frustrated and happy throughout the scenes. The OST was also really nice that I wouldn't mind downloading it. If you're looking for a drama to binge, THIS IS IT. I enjoyed this so much that I finished it within a day and decided to REWATCH right after. It hurt my heart to part ways with this drama. I hope this drama, the cast, production staff and everyone who have worked behind My Girl gets the recognition they deserve. They have made this drama one the best in 2020.

A drama about healing
Simple and funny, but also a little bit heavy and deep.I think the story itself is quiet unique. In the early episodes, it revolves around the scar the FL has. But ut slowly change and change until the main conflict and question, "How do you prove that it's love not guilt." I think the ML already answered this question, but the prove itself wasn't seen by the FL.
It is a story about healing, and how you still can love the person who gave you the scar. Yes, the conflict is deep and a little bit heavy on some subject, but the supporting character is very funny, also the act. I laughed 6 episodes straight because of how funny the ML was. And from middle to late episodes, when they are getting into the conflict, the funny moments are getting replaced by the supporting character.
I think the OST is standard and only some really captures the moment. But it's ok, still beautiful overall.
If will not rewatch this drama, because if you already get the moral and the main conflict, I think it would be boring to rewatch.

A bromance hidden behind a straight drama.
I really liked it. It was very funny and all the couples were likeable, main couple...eh. ML's assistant was just the cutest little thing and I thought we would hate the model, but she became my favorite character. We all need a BFF like her. But let's be honest here, the story line was complete garbage. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING could've been cleared up with an apology and sitting around a campfire with a truth stick. It just felt like the plot kept repeating itself til the end. Also, the true love story here was between ML and his best friend. I loved their story arc so much. But yeah, it's still a very likeable drama. Lots of kisses, weird misunderstandings, countless break ups that weren't really break ups (you'll understand when you watch) and I enjoyed the friendships between the cast. My favorite couples were the second and third. The mains were just irritating. It's also a very happy ending. Just enjoy it for what it is and come for the laughs and romance. But the plot...argh, so irritating. Was this review helpful to you?
Laughed out loud through every episode
This was surprisingly a really good romcom with very different humor. I was laughing really loud watching this at 6am in the morning, trying not to wake anyone up.The FL has PTSD which causes her Multiple Personality Disorder or Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Her DID episodes were hilarious, the things she does are so unexpected and over the top. It's like watching a new drama every time she changes personalities. One of my favourite personalities was the one where she thought the ML was her step brother and the ML's best friend was her boyfriend.
I loved all the characters in this drama, other than the ML's employee who has a crush on him. The ML's ex, Wei Lei was one of my favourite characters same with the ML's best friend, Sui An. I liked Wei Lei and Sui An together because they were such good people individually. I also loved Jiang Jiang and Ah Tao's relationship, they were the reverse couple where the Tao is the man of their relationship and Jiang Jiang was the woman.
My favourite relationship in this entire drama was between Shen Yi and Sui An. Their bromance was so good and hilarious sometimes. I love how everyone thinks they're gay. I love how on several occasions Wei Lei always mentions how Sui An seems like he's cheating on her with Shen Yi without knowing that it's Shen Yi.
The ML, despite his own psychological disorders, was such a nice and sweet guy. You can see this through the way he treats the FL whenever she has one of her PTSD episodes. He always goes along with whatever story she comes up with, even before he knew who she was and before they started dating. They made a hilarious and cute couple. Same goes to every other couple in this drama.

Few words for such a trainwreck
Do not waste a moment of your time on this. Bad acting, bad plot. The only reason it got any stars was the secondary characters were actually quite fun and cute. Male lead was boring, female lead most difinately needs to go back to acting school. They had zero chemistry in my opinion and the whole premise of the show was horrible. Her PTSD, or so it was classified, was utter nonsense and the writers should be ashamed of themselves for taking lighly something that is so serious and damaging to those actually suffering from PTSD. It is disgraceful and the show was utter nonsense. Was this review helpful to you?
This drama will play with your feelings
At first, I thought the plot of this drama was interesting so I decided to watch it. There was a lot of cute scenes that made me go awww, but for the most part of the drama, it was just me getting mad over the characters.Shen Yi lied. Sui An covered up for Shen Yi which caused them to make more lies. Shen Yi can be a bit manipulative sometimes, but it's very, very subtle that some people might think he's just being sweet. I also had a lot of doubts about Shen Yi's feelings for Meng Hui so that was very frustrating. Xu Xing Yao is so fricking annoying, I just wanted to smack her face throughout the entire drama. Xiao Ba's presence is so unnecessary and annoying. Some factors of the story also irked me a bit; sometimes when Meng Hui changes into a different person, I just couldn't wait for her to go back to normal.
I said that this drama will play with your feelings because it did with mine. It made me want to ship them together, but it also made me want them to just break up. A lot of times I felt like the situation was unfair for Meng Hui. I got mad a lot of times. Some parts I wanted to cry (but I didn't). Some parts made me feel giddy. Some parts gave me trust issues. You would root for Shen Yi, but then he does something dumb and you'd want to punch his face with a chair. However, one thing that I liked about Shen Yi is that he was very patient with Meng Hui's disorder no matter how tiring it must have been to cooperate with her. I really had the most issue with the characters because a lot of their actions didn't match the way I wanted them to handle things. But I guess if the characters did what's right all the time, the drama would have been too perfect, too unrealistic and less relatable for the viewers. I think the drama was able to grasp the complexity and flaws of individuals and relationships.
I liked the supporting characters the most; Wei Lei, Ah Tao, and Xiao Mei. The side couple is something you can look forward to. Their parents and co-workers are very supportive too, so I appreciate them as they added a light element to the story. Shen Yi and Sui An's friendship is also cute. The OSTs are great and that's one thing I love about it!

Kick-ass
Watched this a month ago but I can still remember how badass the fl is.Tho you can say that it's very unlikely to happen that everything just revolves around the fl's disease. Like everyone is at her beck and call where they're just trying to bring her original personality back.
It's a little bit draggy on the part of ml where he just assumes every girl with scar is the girl in his past, dude can just hire someone to find the right one.
But still a good drama ?? Fl and ml suits each other
