Yes watch it....

This story is about a group of 5 friends (4 boys & 1 girl) post school who go out into the world chasing their dreams. This might seem like a youth drama but I argue it's a mature themed drama.

The supports including the friends and parents all exceptional, seriously every character had a purpose and each added emotional value. The workers in the factory too. You might think some are rivals but they really are good people

The second leads and main leads. Yes there is love triangles on both main male and female sides but what is funny, you will be so charmed by the leads you will be cheering for them, same time feel sorry for the second leads. The second leads you see do care for the mains!

Gao Zhi Ting is the workplace leader, pioneer, Visionary, transforms and transitions the by cycle industry. This is really a role he was born to play. Jelly Lin I felt she was the star of this show. You will be charmed by Gao Zhi Ting but you will be extra charmed by Jelly Lin. She is too adorable, also a role she was born to play!

A beautiful and well written drama that captured the joys and hardship of life during that period of time. I was completed enchanted by this drama and didn’t even realize how much until I found myself rewatching episodes which I rarely do. The sincerity and heart of each character was so well written… their day to day struggles and genuine love, sacrifice, and care for one another… I was captured by the quiet essence of this drama.

ML and FL’s storyline might be one of my all time favorites. The progression of their relationship from childhood playmates to bantering teenagers to how they were always present and there for one another as adults, often knowing the other better than themselves was beautifully portrayed. The romance was subtle yet significant. Every look, every glance, every quiet unspoken moment the leads had together spoke volumes. I loved watching the two of them come together and in rewatching episodes, I could see how drama already let us know early on that no one else ever stood a chance. They were destined and always meant to be with one another.

ML is a hidden gem. He had me in his corner from the get go… the way he went against the grain and refused to put his family in a bind by going to college, but yet had me convinced he’d still make it out ahead. He was charming and charismatic, determined and persistent, and had a smile that made you want to follow his lead. The FL’s portrayal was well done too… beautiful, down to earth, and unwavering in her love and adoration for ML… yet she was thoughtful and mindful. She was naive and innocent, yet I love how drama made her smart and motivated where she found her own niche, and paved her way.

I still can’t quite explain it… I went in just watching for the ML and came out unexpectedly touched by this heart warming and beautifully done drama.

A Chinese drama away from the white company interiors

I love simplicity. I love Everyman characters. I also love romance that is grounded and is a source of support rather than anxiety. I got all those traits here.
Yet again I found a drama that is set away from the cities and I loved it. There is something about those little town communities that strikes very close to your heart. The added bonus here is that the characters match the grounded setting and they too strike very close to your heart.
I am a fan of Jimmy Stewart and Tom Hanks. One thing they have common is their ability to portray Everyman hero. The male lead Gao Zhi Ting has that ability which is so rare in Asian actors. There is a simple charm about him that makes you like both him and the female lead Jerry Lin almost instantly. Then you have his group of friends, each with their individual struggles. But the biggest win are the parents. The way they are characterized is heartwarming.
If you like slice of life, if you are tired of the same old plastic suited stones, if you like to keep your family close you will love this drama. If nothing else watch this for the setting and the two leads. They are the real hook in this story.
