A family of a widowed mother with her son and daughter. One day, when the daughter got married, she surrounded the dining table with three family members and looked back on her life before dinner. Only these three people actually appear, but the voice of tofu shop owner also is present. The mother-child family setting of the work became the prototype of a later single-family drama , and the scene of having a meal with a family became a classic home drama . The reason why Ima included such a scene in the work was that the TV drama made use of the characteristics that audio and images could be delivered to the audience.
