They chose violence
This movie definitely shows all the injustices happening in Philippines, and gives a somewhat cinematic poetic justice to all the injustices. The whole movie has a different kind of charm, A girl finds a gun and she chooses violence to find peace and gain respect, and on the other side we have teen trying to survive and a gun keeps him safe. Elijah Canlas and Janine's acting is so brilliant. There is so much meaning in the gun, this gun can mean violence, protection or anything but to the character's it's the only hope they hold. Was this review helpful to you?

in contrast to the boppy james bond type of music bg, the movie presents the hurdles and struggles of the ones who are having it rough. this actually highlights poverty, corruption and also the horrible crimes that are very much relevant till this day. where it fell short for me was the transition from the present and then quickly switches to the origin of the gun. when it did switch back to the present, it didn't make much sense of why the main lead is heading to her rapist instead of her roommate's boyfriend as it was hinted she was heading to his house. the consistency was lacking.
overall, this movie promotes awareness of unjust malpractices and victims of violence resorting to violence because of how inflated their hardships are.

This movie was actually INCREDIBLE.
|| May contain spoilers || Overall it is just my opinion ||This is probably going to be my SHORTEST review, Because there is not much to say, This Movie is amazing. I recently watched this movie, When i post this REVIEW it will be exactly… One or Two Days since i watched it! I originally watched this film for Elijah Canlas because i watched him in Kalel-15 and GameBoys and enjoyed his AMAZING acting in both. I didnt watch the trailer or read the description on this movie before i watched it so i didn't know it would have been that type of movie. It was amazing, The acting in this movie was by far some of the realest shit i have seen in a while. It felt so real like they weren’t really acting, Elijah Canlas was pretty young during this film, And let me say!! his acting was beyond good, He played such a believable character, His acting, reactions, expressions etc felt so real and natural. Amazing job.
And i read the other Reviews given on this movie and i laughed at one of the titles. “ They chose violence “ They sure did choose violence. The main girl found that gun and got justice. Love her for that, Janines acting was amazing as-well. Shes incredible, Her character was one of the realest ones i have seen as-well. I love movies and shows like this that show REALISTIC shit that goes on everywhere everyday, anytime. This Movie shows all the injustices that were and are still happening in the philippines. I have to say janine and elijah are some of the best actors yet, They play their roles so realistically. Amazing movie, Highly recommend!!
