A sad choice made by the culprit.

As someone who lost a dear pet who was as much a family member, I can feel the killer's sense of guilt. I'm not tryna compare the victim to our pet btw, it's just that I empathize with how the killer feels. Like the previous episode, this one too has a lesson, but it's more subtle. Death can't be something we can reverse. We're humans so it's beyond our control. This is what I learned when my dog died a few days ago due to a car accident as well (an uncanny similarity here since the victim died the same way), and as much as my mind would tend to try and reverse the situation to comfort my grievance, it won't ever change the fact that the one I love is gone. That is something the killer couldn't accept, that's why it's sad in a way. And when he created a whole cult of gruesomely harvesting organs just to bring his beloved sister back from the dead, is pitiful. It felt sad as well when his little sister's ghost showed up to the detective team and pleaded for them to stop her brother from his cruel deed. One thing I've noticed as a clue for us audiences in regards to the bigger picture of the whole season, is the weighing scale we see at the end after the sniper shoots. We see the killer's profile show up on one of the empty silhouettes on the intro clip to each episode. It's kinda hard to explain without spoiling, but I have a feeling this certain organization is definitely keeping tabs on the detective team's actions on arresting culprits in each case they handle. It's both mysterious and intriguing, and I'm all in. Let's go to the next episode~

creepy

I felt that some things were left empty, like one of the suspicions, what was her role in the gangster scheme? I also felt that the shaman in the middle of the cemetery was just to fill the script, all that hunting in the middle of the forest was meaningless. I loved Kwang Soo showing off his skills while they were stuck in that room and everyone finally admitting that they're nothing without Min Young and Se Jeong. In the end, it was still a very interesting and scary episode.
