First impressions

The start of the first episode was as expected, with a mysterious death after receiving a call. It really did seem supernatural but still not scary (at least for me). But then it started to get disappointing bc everything became just a typical investigation/crme drama and not even very interesting made. There is this guy who doesn't belive in suicide and want to catch the murder behind the calls and the woman who gets entangled into the case and works with the detective while learning things about him, like that he's actually a coward (here comes the comedy) but very passionate about his job (here comes the romance). And there is even the squad consisting from diffenrent kind of characters that aren't normal. (an otaku, a gothic girl and just a crazy uncle) wich abviously are going to help the insvestigation as well (althought they're just office and not police workers)
It even slwly made me mad as the more they found out about the death of the girl the more it seemed that the murder was actually done by a human and not a ghost ( I see that it is a remake and they can change thing from the movies but come on! Thats an essential part of the story! That way it won't get scary at all.)
BUT the last scenes confrimed that somethings off with the death calls and something supernatural really does have his hands in it, so I got interested in the next episode.
It looks like there are people that want revenge for what happened at a school to a girl 10 years ago but also a ghost that wants the same.
But as complicated the story may get, the special effects like burnng human isn't made well/realistic enough to get scared off. Maybe the deaths will get more brutal and we will see more blood and dismembered bodies or something (what really would be disgusting and so scray) with further episodes, I don't know, but I will continue watching it bc of the story, I want to know what is behind all that.
