Brother Beat (2005)

Both dramas are about the lives of brothers (three in Brother Beat and four in My Prince) and their parents. Comedic, romantic, and heartfelt family moments make these dramas an enjoyable watch. Admittedly, Brother Beat is better overall. However, most will be able to appreciate My Prince.

both series have a single-parent mother taking good care of her son/sons.. light drama and heavy comedy. you'd surely enjoy both.

About brothers, their love lives and their paths to maturity. Both series are comedies.

the mother's character is the same in both series : childish, curious and annoying at times.

The mother is Second Chance is also played by Tanaka Misako, and similarly to Brother Beat, she plays a single widowed mother of three boys who works in a grocery store. Akai Hidekazu, who played the boys' father in Brother Beat, is also the main male lead in Second Chance! Both series have comic scenes, as well as heartfelt moments, although Second Chance is more about the mother than it is about the boys.
