Chaloey Barb (2005)

This is about young people who struggle to have the freedom they deserve, despite being prisoners of their social status and having people who pressur them into living a life they don't want. Tawee, a great business tycoon, has three sons : his eldest one, Asawin, hardworking and ambitious, Tot, his second and favorite son, and Anan, his youngest. Although he has Asawin who helps him run his business, Tawee absolutely wants his other sons to work with him. However, none of these two are interested in the company : Anan is a photographer and Toht is a police officer. Both are passionate about their work and are talented and refuse to give it up to work with their father. This causes Tawee to have terrible fights with them as he refuses to let them do as they want. Asawin, the eldest son, has a young and pretty fiancee, Metinee ; however, this is a marriage of convenience. Metinee does not truly want to marry Asawin : however, ever since her father died, her family's financial status is not the same as it used to be. Metinee is okay with that and simply wants to work but her mother pressures her to marry for money : whenever Metinee tries to explain what she wants, her mother starts yelling, threatening her daughter and even pretends to be sick so that her daughter would feel guilty. So Metinee has no choice but to obey. When Toht and Metinee meet, they can't help but fall in love.
