In the near future, more than half of the world population uses ‘Love Virtually’, a virtual app. People find the partners they want with whose face they want, using a ‘Love Virtually’ ID, which becomes a general trend. A couple creates their IDs with their faces before plastic surgery and develop their love for each other. On the anniversary of the 100th day of their first meeting through the app, the couple are about to make love, but the app is down. Love Virtually is a rom-com about a couple searching for true love in a world where virtual reality is the norm by mixing the real world and virtual reality. Both in the real world and virtual reality, they meet each other before and after cosmetic surgery; the world’s standards for appearance might be meaningless for people trying to find their other half. The important thing is ‘the apple of my eye’, regardless of the real or virtual world. (Source: bifan.kr) Edit Translation

Uee and Choi Shi Won look so good together

My review: Love Virtually

Love Virtually is a dating app. The number of virtual couples has outnumbered the couples in real life and It's been 100 days since Giselle (Uee) and Leo (Choi Shi Won) met through this app. One day, the app crashes and they are unable to have the love experience. They decide to meet up but here is the thing, the way they appear in the virtual app is not how they look.

The visuals are stunning, the skyscrapers and the beautiful city lights, really amazed me. I wish the story had more, it felt a little bland in between, but I really loved the concept of falling in love virtually. The music is okay and the acting is soft and nice to watch. Also, Uee and Choi Shi Won look so good together

The message of this drama is Where you meet is not important. What matters is how much you care for each other.

Lack of Chemistry

The story concept seemed interesting to me since these days a lot of people turn to online dating to meet others. I liked the idea of this type of virtual dating. If it was available right now, I would do it since I wouldn't have to leave my house.

I really wanted to like the show, but it was not enjoyable for me. It is shot well, the idea behind the story is great, and it has some really amazing sights. I also liked that they liked each others virtual selves despite those not being a "mainstream look", this was probably my favorite part of the story. I also liked the friendship between Siwon's and Ahn Se Ha's characters. As well as that of UEE's and Kim Han Na's. Yet, it wasn't executed well enough. It lacked that something that would have hooked me and left me wanting more at the end of the show. Once it ended, I was glad. Another issue I had was that I felt UEE and Siwon lacked chemistry and it made for a hard watch.

If another drama was shot with this concept, but longer and with a different cast, I would watch it. As it is, I would not rewatch this even thought it's only around 40 minutes.
