She will know for sure

One of the reasons I wanted to watch this drama was Rowoon. I first saw him acting in Extraordinary you and I completely fell in love with him, his charisma, his acting, everything. I have to say, rom-coms suit him really well. His character has this natural charisma that makes you empathize with him and feel the same way he does. What I really liked about Hyun Seung is that he is really honest and sincere with his feelings for Song Ah from the very start and it only grows as the episodes went by. He had so much love to give and it really showed with the little gestures and the beutiful words. He was also very respectful and always tried to understand Song Ah's feelings, not trying to pressure her but always being honest with her.

The chemistry between Rowoon and Jin Ah is really cute, and I really like the way it evolves as the serie goes one, really liked their dynamics and cute and funny scenes they shared together.

OST, as always, on point. It's really hard to get wrong the soundtrack on a korean drama so I think they did a pretty good job with the songs.

About the gay-related trope, I would've really appreciated if they've deepened a little bit more. I would've really loved to see how things developed as that topic surfaced and how it would've affected the people involved and the protagonist of the situation itself. But, as I know South Korea is still getting accustomed to these kind of topics, I'm glad they even thought about it and put it as a subplot.

Also, I'm really glad that Jae Shin and Hyo Joo didn't end up together. That relationship was very toxic and I'm really happy they both realised that and moved on with their lives. They ended up on good terms and they both can find happyness again with other people.

The only thing I felt a little off was the time skip on the last episodes, and I also feel like everything was solved really quickly. Other than that I think this drama is easy to watch and enjoy. The couple has good chemistry, the other characters are good as well.

Romance in a cloud of blush from Klara

A lot of she's, and eventually they get to know... but sure she will never know is a sweet cotton candy lipgloss 16 episode cosmetics commercial with a side of sweet sweet romance and drama. There is probably a pink fluffy filter to at least one scene per episode, that is how fluffy it is.

The fluff does however not take away the popular drama trope, while some are a bit delayed they are sure to come, as well as done right. The little angst this drama has is kept short, the few issues, obsession,(bad) family and power relations are felt with pretty well and do not distract from the main fluff of this drama. There are several really good scenes in this drama catering to my cold and bitter side as well as fluff... Did I mention there is fluff?

The PPL in this drama is hilarious and stood for about 80% of my laughs, Everything about Rowoons character is just perfect, a bit to perfect to be honest... And the team behind this drama made sure to make good use of his perfection showing us close up on his big hands, his smile, kisses... He is more or less the perfect guy, patient, respectful, the type of guy who trusts his girlfriend and true to the lyrics of Richard Marx song from 1989, this guy will be right here waiting... but not in a creepy way al though one can argue that he may just need to let it go... He is also playful and a passionate kisser... and so is Won Jin Ahs character. She is also strong, independent, honest and pretty cool. She may not always be the best girlfriend material and may be a bit over ambitious for her own good. And though she thinks of her self as selfish and a cold hearted B*** I could actually relate to her a lot, and had a small crush on her most of the drama.

The side characters are really good, no one annoyed me and they truly played their parts to get the plot to move along well. I especially love the male leads family, his relationship with his sisters and niece is just so sweet (as I said they do the job well) and their own struggles are a good addition to nuance the plot. Though some parts were more predictable than others (ok all highly predictable) the way they handled their issues and hurdles in life was really a good watch. The colleagues here are also really good and so are the friendships. The parents however are in true K-drama fashion are 50 shades of trouble and problems of its own but thet too was shown pretty well.

The drama is also easy to binge, and worth a watch for all use fluff, cliches and smile addicts...

ML Lipstick ultra Fail

I can't believe so many good reviews for this. The story is nothing new which means script needs:

1. ML & FL Chemistry which none that I could feel. I've enjoyed both of the leads in other dramas but this pairing didn't work for me at all
2. Dynamic characters with witty dialogue and..... Lead characters were flat.
3. Great supporting characters, they had potential but not a lot of time were spent on them

Too many scenes with major lipstick fail on the ML. One restaurant scene his lip liner was 5 shades off from his spotty lipstick. It was just all too distracting. Other scenes his lipstick was heavier than the FL. Maybe it should've been a lipstick commercial instead.

Only character that stood out was the Lee Jae Woon, the rich friend and of course ALL other supporting characters were more interesting than the Main couple.

What was the point?

IDK why people wrote such glowing reviews for this. It's like I was watching a story of mostly happy people becoming more and more UNhappy in the name of maturing. Seriously, what is the point of this story? The only good part was Rowoon's cute romantic pursuit in the middle episodes, but the FL never came across as worthy of his admiration. She was consistently self-centered, and it seems like the writers think that is a GOOD character trait.

Unless you want to be unhappy, don't waste your time on this.

one of the worst

I have no idea why this relatively new drama got such a high rating. It's one of the few that really annoyed me and got me angry even, - which is rather hard to accomplish. Here is why:

1. The male lead: So, who is this guy? He is supposed to be quite younger than the female lead, has just started his job more or less and he goes home into his house which obviously is in the most expensive area of the city, with probably 300 sqm, two story with galeria and a Zen garden outside, and which probably costs a silly fortune to rent let alone to buy. So how exactly does he get to have this house? Is he a Chaebol son born into immense riches? We don't get to know, he just has thta hyper fantastic home for the sake of it, - seriously?

2. So he falls in love with his female boss. Ok. But what he does is not ok. He has extreme stalking tendencies, immediately obsessive in a sick way for me. All of those rating this so high, could you do me the favour and just imagine for a moment that this guy does not look like Ro Woon but let's say he is a short, overweight creep guy with a balding head, greasy rest of hairs, yellow teeth and bad breath? Still so appealing that he keeps no distance, suddenly starts this ' I am very protective'-stuff, totally overstepping any personal boundaries, following the female lead around where ever she goes? Still fine, he aggressively steps into her private life and private relationships? Just think about it for a moment with a very different guy and if you'd still find this so lovely?

3.the female lead: Ah it's a pity really. I actually like Won Jin-A, she has a supercute look and face, a beautiful smile, a lovely deep speaking voice, I like all these things. Problem is, I don't think she is a very good actress. I saw her in three different dramas now and she is always acting the very same way, there is no variation - at all.
Secondly, she never has chemistry with the male leads. I know that most K-drama kisses are fake of course, but she makes it so fake it's hard to watch. She hardly ever moves her lips, or her head even, mostly looking scared and shocked like a rabbit in front of the slaughhterhouse. Why? And not only with the first kiss, it remains like that until the last episode. It's very obvious that she does not want to kiss the actors.

It was pretty much the same in 'just between lovers' - a bit better though, and it would have been the same in 'melting me softly' if Ji Chang Wook wouldn't have totally thrown her off guard which was rather obvious in that shower scene.
Here now we are supposed to believe she is a self confident modern woman on the one hand, having a secret ongoing affair with her boss and sleeping with him regularly for quite a while, and on the other hand she is not able to normally kiss thet new lover like an adult woman. Instead she acts like a 12-year old girl, anxiously not knowing what to do? What exactly did she do with her boss then all the time? A round of knitting together?
I do wonder why she would take on romantic roles if she has such obvious problems kissing her counterpart actors every single time? In this drama though there was no chemistry between her and Ro Woon AT ALL, it was just awful watching them.

4.. There is no backstory to the characters. I earlier mentioned the expensive house such young man owns without explanation. But also his character is like a flat sheet. Where does he come from? Why is he so obsessive on the one hand , and so totally unbelievably patient and almost asexual on the other hand? What else does he do in his life other than obsessing and following a woman? Does he have no other life? How creepy is that?

5. Totally unrealistic dialogues: again, the male lead acts like a saint without hormones or reproductive organs - no young man in his 20s would act like that, especially none who is so aggressively obsessive on the other hand. All this ' I will accept that you treat me like a trash bin, thank you, it's all ok for me as long as I can see you like this, and spend some time with you, or just look at you bla bla' and being all calm and smiles? No way!

6.The female lead is rather a unlikable person for me. She enjoys all the attention and treats both men like her puppets although it might look differently. I stopped watching when there was like the 50th scene with her then former lover. He for the 50th times asks her why she dumped him and she does not say why? Why does she not just tell him the reason? It really drove me crazy and made her character look weak and immature once again, totally contrasting to that self confident business woman thing the writers actually wanted to sell.

I gave up after 10 episodes because all this got me really angry, and I seriously do wonder how in 2021, they would produce such a badly written and acted drama with male and female leads going down the totally wrong road concerning many behaviours.
I was just thinking about that last real stalker case in South Korea some few months ago, where such obsessed sicko killed his former work colleague in a subway toilet room. I don't want to see this kind of stalking obsessive guys in K-dramas, not if t is nont shown in a critical way but instead selling this as desirable positive relationship. There is NOTHING to idealise or enjoy about this.

I was really looking forward for this drama to start and am currently waiting for next wk for ep. 11.
Love the 2 main people. Ra Woon has won me over for sure, his acting is so good and when he looks at Won Jin- ha, well he just melts my heart. He makes it believable. Watched him on "Lets eat together" and like his personality.
And Won Jin-ha has been one of my favorites since "Jusr between Lovers". she has that lower voice that I just love, she grabs your attention when she talks.
I love the co workers and how they intertwine with each other and love the comedy of the drama and yes love the story line, was happy that was fresh and not your typical k=drama.
The only thing that I don't like is waiting every wk for new eps.

Outdated and boring romance

Well this was a drama full with outdated and boring romance tropes and characters.
Main couple had luke warm chemistry (maybe bc they both are just boring characters) the second male lead was a joke and the office team was cliche as hell. Honestly its another drama where most interesting aspects are given to secondary cast but also never been explore properly.
Like the married man who is struggling with his sexuality, the wife who feels depressed only being a house wife and the rich girl who has psychological issues where she is on the edge of a suicide. Sounds very intense and serious right? Well the writer of this drama say „its just a phase, let them be“ and at the end everyone is suddently ok.
SPOILER
My favorite character were Hyun Seungs oldest sister and an wanted to see their wedding ceremony but Im so salty we got a wedding dress shot of Song Ah at the end instead -_-

This drama feels like a waste of my time tbh, it doesnt even have 1 memorable ost

Lazy

Soulless and dry. Not a good office romance. All men were creepy and cringe while women were selfish and entitled. Not to mention the dead chemistry with all of the three couples. The story was practically dead on arrival. Painful progression and dreadful execution.

Enjoyable drama, mature romance and relatable

I personally enjoy this drama a lot. It is very different from other on going dramas, it displays the true nature of human relationships, sibling support and warmth of your friends.

Songah and hyunseung relationships is a mature relationship. This couple story shows us the sad truth of long distance relationships, the harsh truth of breaking up and the pain of loving someone unconditionally. Songah character is very strong, career woman which every woman would dreamed to be, while hyunseung is innocent, patience and hard working. It is very interesting to watch them slowly build their relationship.

The side characters story is worth watching too, especially woohyun and yeosung's story! It's heartbreaking, selfless and emotional everytime i watched their scene. I cant hold my tears when it comes to them. Their story is very close to what happened irl, so it is very relatable.

Another thing that is good with this drama, is the character development. The writer and the director did a very good job in delivering every single character development. We did not stuck with some plain character through out the drama.

One of the most beautiful k-dramas I've watched in a long time

I've never written a review before but I had to for this one.

This drama is one of the best dramas I've watched in a while.

The casting is absolute perfection- I initially watched the show for Won Jin Ah but Rowoon really surprised me here with his acting. He really shined in the role of Chae Hyun-Seung and showcased a different side of his acting here. Jin Ah, as expected, also nailed her role as a strong and independent sunbae, yet someone who is vulnerable and afraid of love. Both of them act almost entirely with just their eyes! They are class actors and I can't wait to see more of their acting in the future.

The storyline/plot may sound cliche to others but I found it refreshing - there are not a lot office romances related to cosmetics. The chemistry between the Won Jin Ah and Rowoon is just out of this world, even off-screen! I can't get enough of these two together. The character development is amazing all-around and even the supporting characters' stories keeps you invested. The story also wrapped up very nicely- it was not rushed at all in my opinion.

Another thing this drama excelled in is the pacing. For a slow-burn romance, the pacing is just right. It gives a realistic feel to the main leads' love story. The female lead's character is not someone who blindly falls in love and I really liked that. I found her character quite relatable, personally. Both main leads have their own flaws but are mature and independent and they bring out the best in each other in the relationship.

I also want to give a shout-out to all the OST in this drama - they were very beautiful and fitting songs that complemented every single scene.

She Would Never Know is an absolutely beautiful and heartwarming drama that I highly recommend to all. Please do not let the low ratings keep you from checking out this wonderful drama!!!

Rowoon MVP of the drama

I didn't know what to make of this drama when I first heard about it but I was looking forward to it because of the cast. I won't lie the set up is quite your usual one in romantic drama except it's set in an office and while the first two episodes were confusing it turned out to be an enjoyable drama.

Now, l will be honest the only thing that made the drama this enjoyable was the main character Chae Hyun Seung. In my 15 years as a drama watcher Chae Hyun Seung is one the best male characters I have seen on screen.
Despite what episode 1 & 2 can potentially show, Chae Hyun Seung is a respectful and responsible character who always put Yoon Song-Ah, his sunbae, well-being first. While he was fairly honest about his feelings toward her he never imposed it on her or forced her into anything she didn't want to. Every one of his actions has Song-Ah well-being in mind regardless of whether it will make him look good in her eyes or not. It wasn't about winning her heart or making her fall in love with him, it was about protecting and caring for the woman he loved even if it meant looking like the bad guy.
As if he wasn't already good enough, Hyun Seung was this character that kept on learning and never stopped questioning himself about his behavior and its consequences on Song Ah. His love for Song Ah was obviously unbalanced but he accepted it and embraced it. For him it wasn't a competition on who is more in love or who will hurt the most, it was about being able to share his life with the one he loved.

I can't speak about Hyun Seung without talking about Rowoon who just nailed the role. He really suited the boy in love with his sunbae type and did amazing portraying the shy, in love but also mature and responsible Chae Hyun Seung. I don't think it's a stretch to say that he carried the show on his shoulders and I'm looking forward seeing him in a new drama.

As much as I loved Rowoon as Hyun Seung I have to say I was disappointed in Won Jin Ah as Song Ah which is a shame since she was one of the reasons I started this drama. Now I don't think it has much to do with Won Jin Ah's portrayal, though I did find her quite emotionless, than it has to do with how badly written Song Ah is. She was just a very boring character, not even her conflict with her mom was interesting enough to make us root for her. If anything I felt like she wasn't good enough for Hyun Seung and it's not the last couple of episodes that made me change my mind. I can't tell if this was done on purpose to portray a normal/lambda woman or not but either way it's disappointing. It's particularly striking when all the other female characters, regardless of how small their roles were, had so much charisma personality.

The good does outbalance the bad thankfully and I would recommend this drama if you are looking for a nice romantic story that will make your heart flutter. If not with Hyun Seung you will definitely find some fluttering with the other side stories that are just as enjoyable as the main one.

I Love it!!!

I'm a sucker for melodrama, and this drama just became one of my favourite.

Storyline: I think the plot is veeery fresh and unique. i like the idea of a guy who's willing to anything for the FL instead of the other way around. Some I read said that the ML is too much of a yes man. But in my opinion, that's jus the character set up for him. He's very intuitive and do whatever he feels right. The FL on the other hand is very calculative and overthinks things (and that's why she ended up making that stupid decision in ep 15).

Characters: I loooove everyone here, even that bastard Jae Shin. Though I hate him on him making a fool of Song Ah and Hyo Joo, but at one point you pity him to have that kinda life that pushed him to be the bad person. I love the relationship between Hyun Seung and his sisters. They are so closed knitted and trust each other. I especially like Ji Seung who was willing to be there for her brother and sister. She's so adorable! Not to forget the little and cute Ha Eun!

Romance: Aihhhhh. Swoon worthy. Especially the part where Hyun Seung wa strying to flirt with Song Ah and when they were already in a relationship. But I have to say, I fell in love with Ji Seung and Jae Woon! Such a lovely secondary couple! My heart cried for Yun Seung and her husband though. Nevertheless, their relationship ended well.

Overall, this drama fits my cuppa. Soooo gonna rewatch this drama. I'm happy!!!
