Once again a SP episode ends up being...nothing special! :/
I tend to be a little wary of SPs done after successful dramas, as in the past I've noticed many of those being way below their respective main series' level (and more generally, way below par!)...and this "Tokyo Tarareba Musume 2020" was no exception, unfortunately.Whereas with the original series I had liked more or less everything but the last episode(s), here I kinda like the last 50' or so, but on the other hand I couldn't help but finding the first 45' terribly boring (the definition "yawnfest" comes to mind) and borderline annoying.
The cast did well though, all things considered, particularly Yoshitaka Yuriko and Oshima Yuko (who's been nothing short of brilliant in everything I've seen her in so far!).
If you asked me about the music - despite the fact that I've watched this, like, less than 24 hours ago! - I'd have to reply that I don't even remember the music in it (which means it wasn't terrible, but also not very good).
All in all, once again a SP episode ends up being...nothing special! :/

SP? It means SPare yourself this waste of time
I rated the original series 7/10 for its examination of female friendship. This one only gets 4, and that's down to the hard work of the female leads. The SP adds nothing to the lead character's story, but did confirm that the "KEY" character was truly awful. Throughout the entire original series he never did or said anything supportive for the FL, always snide and blaming her - sometimes deservedly so, sometimes not. In the SP, he hit a new low. When the FL was emotionally devastated by something for which she was in no way at fault, he angrily attacked her and defended the person who had hurt her. If you enjoyed the series, don't taint your memories of it by wasting nearly 100 minutes on this very UNspecialWas this review helpful to you?

SP episode is just an additional episode
so I think SP episode is just an additional episode just made because the original series was successful,it's just showing where all character's life has been going , like little update nothing special of course .I actually like it because the series was disappointing , in the SP episode each character has her own life her own success . The main lead has become an artist of a series I guess or I think she writes scripts for dramas in some TV station.
One of the other female lead got married and the other one was opening a cafe which is great.
There were lots that were going on , in those girl's life but of course we see some unfortunate event like the broom running away!!!!!

do we need another season??????
can't he just confess???can't we see them dating and eventually married????
don't ask because the writer of this drama has no intention in letting them be together .
Don't wish for a normal drama or a happy ending.
The writer doesn't know what those things are.
