Both of these dramas fall into the group of "growing up, slice-of-life, love and friendship".
It's a while since I watched When I fly ..., but I remember it left me with a strong impression, as did You are Desire.

Both are youth school dramas that start with the leads in high school and follow into university days.

In both, FL's parents are divorced and FL moves to new city due to her mom's plans. New city is relatively much smaller. FL meets ML and ML's childhood friends and they become friends. FL has male friend from before moving that appears briefly to show that, despite initially wanting to return to previous city, FL now wants to stay in new city. FL has conflict with mom over-determining her life. Eventually FL and her mom make up.

FL in both are not typical high school FL (i.e. not clumsy/bad at school/unpopular/"ugly" + they have nice hair) and are relatively calm/mature/independent for their age. FL in Summer Again is a bit more childish, but reasonably so for her age. In You are Desire, FL (in the high school part) is darker in mood, but becomes brighter as time goes. Both are uncertain about their dreams, but eventually find it.

ML in Summer Again is more bright/cheerful than in You Are Desire, but both are nice, good people, support their friends and FL. Both live alone + have complicated family circumstances. Both have a dream they begin seriously pursuing.

You Are Desire is overall darker and has sadder themes, while Summer Again feels quite refreshing and youthful. But You are Desire has moments that are more fun and youthful, and Summer Again explores some darker themes, too.

The drama has the same vibes. It's school setting, Nice leads slowly afjusting their lives. Also there is the trauma context in both dramas.

the male and female leads in both the dramas are good in studying. They have to stay apart due to some family circumstances and meet each other later in the university.

The both had a girl who supported the male lead no-matter what. The both did a gun sport theme and was mentally refreshing, though You are desire is a tear-jerking drama.

The male leads are always the best at what they do and the female lead admires them, male lead spoils the female lead and as always the female lead finds her way to her goals and dreams with the male lead support.

Both dramas are about romance and youth. The setting is set on school and both of female and male leads were teenagers.
