Great story, excellent acting and beautiful costumes
The story is great, and the audience really doesn’t want to skip any detail. The plot is very nice since the beginning, we can not guess what’s going to happen next then it turned out very logical with a lot of surprises. All three leading acting is really great and each character self is quite unique and interesting. I must compliment their acting skills especially wangyibo, his acting skills are improved quite a lot in the recent few years and this time his acting makes Bailihongyi such a cute, smart guy, the audiences more and more like Baili. I want to say “vow” to Yibo’s acting since it’s really more than expected. Watched 12 episodes so far, can’t wait next Wednesday to come because it will continue to show next episodes. The directing is great and also are the costumes. I fully recommend this drama to others. Was this review helpful to you?

Luoyang is so so so so so good.I recommend highly .Among The Chinese historical dramas .Wind From Luoyang is the best.Every Historical Drama fan should watch this drama.The(3) main lead are very good in casting.I am not Wang Yibo fan but to be honest, he is really good in acting. He is so perfect.Wang Yibo can nail any character without any fear.Yibo's acting with every new series of his marvels me.He plays his roles so naturally that it doesn't seem like we are watching a character of a show.I could feel his anxiety, passion confusion and pain through his act .Song Qian is so good and beautiful.Song Yi 's voice is very sweet.Seriously I can't stop watching luoyang. Everything really good! Perfect! Was this review helpful to you?
Plot failed me no matter how good the cast or the cinematography were ,, BORING
I was so hyped when this drama released and I was excited to see Wang Yibo in a martial arts drama may be hoped for bromance with the male lead but how I was wrong ,, I did waste my internet package on downloading the whole dramaI was really excited then but when I started watching it some how I couldn't get into the story ,, couldn't understand what is going on most of the time ,, all I could get is two male leads running around investigating into complicated political relationships to avenge their dead family members and people in power mostly corrupt deceiving them ,, they are not partners and they don't talk to each other,,, they are not friends nor close ,, they were really cold and indifferent
every one of them has a female love interest but Wang Yino's character couldn't care less about his wife,, he was like a persistent annoying teenager didn't feel him any better nor his character was any better to any one
the male lead's romantic story wasn't good either but it was okey not that bad ,,, that couple seemed fit together but they had no time they were running around investigating in the same circle again getting hurt saving each other with very little emotional scenes and detached from each other ,, felt very inconsistent to watch
It's like the director put all his martial arts knowledge and a lot of trying to appear smart investigative talk into it
I watched many smart detective dramas before this wasn't smart at all ,, this was people acting like they are smart but not at all
,, I hold off the drama for month and said I will try it later may be My mood isn't great for it now but when I returned same boredom ,,, same confusing detective talk ,, same shady and suspicious characters with no attachment at all
I was done ,,, no matter how much I skipped the episodes ,, it's done
this plot doesn't work for me ,, doesn't interest me ,, not one attachment to the story
I dropped it

Great Movie Introducing Chinese Historical Culture
This movie provides a glance of Tang dynasty’s culture. The stage settings and costumes are amazing. Story is interesting. Main characters have unique personalities. GaoBingZhu, played by a award winning actor Huang Cuan, is ignited by the eager of revenge. BaiLiErLang, played by a Chinese top dancer, is in thirst to discover his enemy who killed his father. The two completely different characters, one lived in lower class his entire life and one was born in the highest class and lived with luxurious life his entire life, walk together to find what they want. A great pleasure to watch! Was this review helpful to you?
The history and culture of Luoyang
I loved this drama even though I watched only 12 episodes. The actors played and expressed well the emotions and struggles in ancient times. The culture is interesting in many aspect. I personally loved the wedding and the pastries. The fight for power is really cruel, I felt like I felt like I was living with the characters.I enjoyed every minute of this drama. The intelligence of Baili Hongyi, the courage of Wu Siyue and the wisdom of Gao Bingzhu combined together is astonishing and incredible. I am looking forward to what will happen next and more of their team work. All the best and love. ❤

Sinematic and color of video editing is expensive
Too bad my drama list have star for story, acting, music and rewatch value only. I really like this drama from the sinematic and color of the video editing. It works in all of the episodes. The costume also looks very gorgeous. The building architecture and setting place are also above average. The story actually is not unique, it's just a conspiracy to take down the emperor/empress. But how they breakdown the story make me want to follow the series.
Thanks to Huang Xuan, he never disappointed me when he chooses the role. Gao Bing Zhu is a very smart man and master in fight. A very likeable person. His voice and his make up is perfect to present the character.
Victoria song as A Yue is also not bad. She had a good chemistry with Gao Bing Zhu and her brother Sir Wu. I really want a happy ending for them. She also have a good costume when she is doing her job as an officer staff and when she become the royal lady.
I know the second lead male is an Idol. He is needed to make the series popular, but too bad, Baiyi Erlang's part is too much for me. I often skip his scene with his wife because it's all irrelevant with solving the mystery. He is still young and can improve his acting in the future.
Overall this is one of the best drama in 2021. I still rewatch some episode because it is so memorable.

I highly recomend to watch it. It keeps you excited until the very end.
At the first sight - an axcellent plot which makes you to look forward to another epp. In the deeper sight you can tell that all the actors nailed their characters perfectly. They also went along very well and it shows in the drama. The background is perfect with all the details carefully designed and its history value is undeniable. The weakest part is the music which sometimes disturbs you and doesn´t fit the scene. But most of the time it is good.
What I liked the best is the slow evaluation of all the characters. Especially Baily Hongyi (WangYiBo) who was very cold, spoiled, clever but highly unsocial boy at the beginning, slowly developped into strong, self-confident young man at the end, who was able to receive the love from his wife and bear the responsibility for his family.
Overall - I highly recomend to watch it. It keeps you excited until the very end.

Interesting!
This is not a typical genre that I normally watch but I watched for Wang Yibo. The storyline was interesting, though I wish the ending could be better. I did like the background music. It's very different but it kind of sets the tone or mood for the scene. I like the chanting lol. I liked how the ML and FL relationship developed. It was mature,l and at a nice pace where it felt real. 2FL and 2ML relationship was eh. Even though 2ML grew into the relationship, I found 2FL annoying. Overall, all the cast played their role to make the storyline worked. I don't regret watching it. It was a nice change from the rom coms that I normally watch. Was this review helpful to you?
I liked the topic. I liked your work. The actors also played very well. I liked them all. Especially the presence of star actors affects the watchability and admiration of the series. I was also impressed with the actors.
I even wondered if it could have a second season after it ended. Because the result resulted in the death of the lead actress. It was sad. While everything was so good, I was disappointed that it ended like this, frankly. The fact that the incident about the brother of the main actor was left in the air also affected me. This place did not turn out the way I wanted. In general, I enjoyed watching it. I would recommend it to everyone.

Although the mortician aspect would have been interesting, this series is a poor imitation of The Longest Day in Chang'an. While the dramatics actually worked there, it was poorly executed and unnecessary for this plot. I do appreciate that more Chinese dramas are starting to bring back some of the essence it once had, before they tried to incorporate poor graphics and terrible costume work. The action scenes are feeling more skill-based again instead of the floating around nonsense or having characters with strange hairdos that are ridiculous for any time period. One of the mains here also starred in The Untamed and while that one was also somewhat gimmicky, it wasn't as severe and it made more sense due to the supernatural aspect. Nevertheless, at least visually, this series was done better than some of the others I've seen but it still had too many gimmicks attached to a poorly written script:
- They make Gao Bing Zhu seem like some brilliant fighter and observer but for some reason, he doesn't realize the guy he killed was wearing a completely different mask and didn't have the wound he inflicted earlier? Ugh.
- Baili Hong Yi ties a flimsy white cloth around Gao Bing Zhu's wrist and tells him it's some type of magical knot that he would never be able to untie himself from? And Gao Bing Zhu is somehow threatened enough to give in to his demands? Ugh again.
For what seems like a fairly expensive production, the camera work was subpar. Each episode also made less and less sense and the cheesy dialogue only became more cringe. This series really felt like they tried to reuse or combine all the elements of what made The Longest Day in Chang'an, Nirvana in Fire, and The Untamed successful, but didn't bother to care whether the effects actually made sense for the plot. Note that what didn't make this one work for me wasn't because of the actors but from the cards they were dealt.
