Gao Chong realizes that he was trapped. Shen Shen refuses to back down and challenges the other sects into a fight. The Gentle Wind Sword Sect leaves the arena, despite being one of Gao Chong's trusted friends. Zhou Xu rescues Cheng Ling and Lao Wen joins in to help him. The Five Lakes Alliance Monument is destroyed by the beggar sect disciples. Zhao Jing arrives and tearfully begs everyone to stop fighting, agreeing to give up the Glazed Armor as a sign of their surrender. Gao Chong asks Shen Shen to take care of his daughter for him. In despair, he crushes the three pieces of armor and smashes his head against the fallen monument. The Gentle Wind Sword sect's leader, Mo Huai Yang is shown to possess the exact similar pieces of the armor as the sect ride away from the scene. Lao Wen, Ah'Xu and Cheng Ling take shelter from the rain. A confused and pensive Lao Wen is comforted by Ah'Xu. He starts to question whether he was an evil person and Zhou Xu tells him that none are evil as long as their heart is kind. He begins to slowly discern Zhao Jing's actions at the gathering. Back at Chongwu palace, Zhao Jing plans his next moves with his adopted son, the Scorpion King. Shen Shen leaves the Five Lakes Alliance, setting out to find Xiao Lian. He plans to take her away from Yueyang sect and raise her in Mount Dagu, leaving behind the task of shouldering the Alliance to Zhao Jing alone. He gives a list of people to be murdered to Scorpion King. Ye Bai Yi, who kidnaps Long Xiao, follows Zhou Xu and reaches their shelter.
