Bei Yuan tells Ah' Xu that Prince Jin was not after the armory, but after a secret left by his tribe about a place which would help the country's occupants thrive well for a long time. The secret place was rumored to have a key belonging to six people with different surnames. Ah' Xu's father had tried to find its location along with his friend, Qin Huai Zhang. Soon, he is rumored to have been killed by the former Prince Jin, whom he was close with. Confused with the turn of events, Ah' Xu sets out to reach the armory in the frigid mountains before Prince Jin does. He asks Cheng Ling to lie to Lao Wen that Da Wu and Bei Yuan had taken him to the mountains for treatment. Duan Peng Ju tries to open the armory, but finds out that the key doesn't fit. Scorpion King realizes that the key he had found on Lao Wen's body during the plan was fake. Ah' Xu intercepts them and kills Duan Peng Ju before setting off an avalanche in which he too, planned to die. Lao Wen, who had secretly followed him, appears and pulls out Ah' Xu's hair clasp that he had given, which was the key to the armory in disguise and opens it. He narrates how Ye Bai Yi had healed him and helped him find Ah' Xu. They explore within the armory and discover a granary along with books on agriculture, which is the secret of survival for nomadic people to help them settle . Lao Wen finds the Yin Yang book and gives it to Ah' Xu in case they need it once they find a way out. Trapped due to the avalanche, they ponder over ways to survive and Lao Wen tells the story of how immortals like Ye Bai Yi survice on ice and snow after practising the Six Combined Cultivation Book. He suggests using it. Ah' Xu agrees and they start the process. Lao Wen confesses that he had kept a secret hidden: Doing it, the other person escapes death, but it would break the his meridians and turn their hair grey. A flashback shows Ye Bai Yi transferring his powers of Six Combined Cultivation to Lao Wen for him to heal Ah' Xu, which he believes was why he had lived for so long and that there are still people with pure hearts. Ah' Xu wakes up to find Lao Wen with grey hair, unconscious. He holds his hands tight as they slip away from his palms. The story skips to the present, where an adult Cheng Ling narrates the tale of how the Scorpions and Zhao Jing were buried forever under the snow. The kids ask about the two brothers who were trapped in the armory. Cheng Ling tells them about the consequence of using the technique. Before he can answer a disciple's question of whether they succeeded, his daughter Nian Xiang arrives. Gao Xiao Lian scolds him for distracting the kids as its time to eat. They march off together to have lunch. Sonewhere in the cold mountains, Ah' Xu corrects a disciple about his techniques. Lao Wen approaches him from behind and argues that he was misleading the disciple. They begin a combat and the disciple watches in wonder. Deng Kuan, the father of the child, asks him to return and have dinner, commenting that Ah' Xu and Lao Wen had been fighting all their lives and that there was no way of knowing when the fight between the two immortals would end.
