Fang Bu Zhi's body is brought to Yueyang Sect. Zhou Xue recognises the weapon that caused his death as one from the Window of Heaven. Both of them take their leave, but Lao Wen promises that he'd certainly be present for the Heroes Conference. Gu Xiang puts her master's plans into motion under the guise of eating out with Brother Cao. Zhou Xue wonders whether it had been a mistake to bring Cheng Ling back to the alliance. Wen Ke Xing tells him that it was not possible to protect someone forever, giving own experience as an example. Ah' Xu starts to notice that he was slowly losing his senses. They spend the day out and Ah' Xu catches sight of the Four Sages of Anji who were a group of soulmates who had been invited to the Heroes Conference. They hadn't been seen for more than ten years, loving the peace and calm of secluded life. He regrets the less time he had to live, but feels happy that he finally found a soulmate. Lao Wen invites him for a drink atop the roof, but the night is interrupted with sound of sword fights. He takes Ah' Xu to the scene to find both of the opponents dead. Zhou Xue realises that they had been competing for a piece of glazed armor that looked exactly like the one he had given to Lao Wen. Meanwhile, Hai Ying notices that both the pieces of armor he obtained were identical. Shocked at Lao Wen being happy at deaths that had been caused and his lack of remorse for his actions, Zhou Xue leaves him, telling him that he never expected him to be actually crazy. Gao Chong is disturbed when he realizes that the martial artists were fighting for fake pieces of the glazed armor right before the Heroes Conference. The Four Sages of Anji are ambushed by the beggar sect at Renyi Hall, who demand that they give up their Glazed Armor. The other sects and their leaders join in for the argument about who rightfully deserves it. Three sages pass away as a result of an unprecedented attack by a member of the beggar gang. The last remaining sage, Brother Du, tells Gao Chong about how their trust was lost due to the Glazed armor and greed before killing himself out of grief at the loss of his soulmates.
