POOR WRITING

I dnt usually write review but man i regret going against my instinct n decided to watch this.
This drama was good at keeping me engaged, good looking characters n yes good acting i give it that but that's all .
M going to b brutally honest here ,i dint like this at all bcz it fooled me into thinking this is atlst going to b good mystery drama when i wasnt able to feel the chemistry between MLs.My reasons fr not liking it :
Firstly,i understand people suffer alot in life n their past influence their behaviour but does it give u the right to b immature n insult just anyone without thinking ? people suffer from many things much more harder than nut did but those tragedies help u gain perspective. His character was poorly written.but it doesnt matter much so i ignored it.
Secondly, mystery was just nonsense n even fantasy has realism in it but this dint, things never made much sense in last episode.
Thirdly,it's not BL it's a complete drama abt family n life with weak plot,it wasn't completely mystery,bl romance, slice of life ,politics n corruption. It was half assed in any case.
What pissed me off in real is my main reason , tofu 's become side character.I dnt care tht he disappeared in the end ,it was obvious but his existence was a mere life lesson bcz tell u why.
Would u let go of the killers who poison ur loved ones ryt in front of u whn u have such strong character n fond of accusing everyone without thinking?Nut did absolutely nothing, which is obvious that writer dint care much abt it ,this incident conflicted with nuts' character.
There was no conclusion fr corruption n politics either. Then nut says,i actually missed tatarn,it was obvious that tofu ,no matter how important he was,was just a side character.Nut just goes with flow ,his feelings cn easily shift from one person to another. It was completely nonsense ,i never felt emotional bcz it was way too draggy ,no chemistry between the ML ,tatarn n nut had good chemistry but less screen time.Nut n tofu's rship was pushed to b a romantic one but that felt one sided with no chemistry.

I was disappointed :((

First, the overall story was really awesome. I like how they picked up topics about the real LGBT in the country. Yes, international BL fans always see a dream-like story of same sex fell inlove and a happy ending. The story pointed that spot that still, there are people who are still conservative and traditional but it also includes how to educate people about LGBT.
Second, the actors were new and refreshing but they did a really good acting on this one. They did an amazing character on this. Though, many people got irritated with Nut, well, if you hate the character it means the actor is doing well. Despite that, i always get the point of view of the character which are the coming from and why they acted like that but on the latter episodes, i think the character of Nut is kinda annoying especially how he approached his mom. Overall, he did a great job. For Tufo (mi amigo <3), his character was very consistent from start to end. It is kinda annoying as well, but i know, that his only reason is to be loved and be accepted by Nut. I actually like his character at the latter part of the story as to how he confronted Jan and Saen . Overall , I feel like i wanted to be comforted by tofu, i need his hug. He did awesome overall.

Third, i will be honest, i just run the last episode to see what happened, until now, I haven't watched it as I know what happened to Tofu in the ending. Sorry, but I always do this especially if the series got me really hooked up. I cannot finish the end not because i do not like the ending but also I can't accept that it is the last one. Last time i did this was on Addicted Heroin. Probably, if I am ready I will finish it. Though i know that the ending was not an open ended story. I am still hoping for season 2. I want to see more.

a must see even if the ending is not satisfactory

First of all, I would like to make it clear that I recommend the series to everyone, even if it became more and more of an emotional roller coaster for me towards the end. At the end I was emotionally touched, sad, angry and frustrated because the ending was difficult for me to bear. This in advance.

The series starts rather nicely with some really successful comedy scenes (Tofu on an escalator for the first time or how Nut and Tofu are in the police station).

But the further you look, more and more drama elements are added and in the end it becomes a tragedy. I can't understand what many people see as bitter sweet, it simply filled me with sadness, the authors' resolution was a complete failure. I can't understand them.

Early in the series, there is a hint that Tofu's existence is linked to Tarn's, as Tofu faints and Tarn wakes up, but immediately falls back into a coma when Tofu wakes up.

This problem becomes more and more intense, so that when you watch the last episode you ask yourself more and more, how will this end, how does the series try to resolve this conflict.

The tension created in this way gripped me, but the solution that was then shown shocked and frustrated me. The ending is unsatisfactory in many ways.

Tofu becomes a teddy bear again, Tarn and Nut come together again and everyone praises what a good friend Tofu was and that everyone should have their tofu.

That would be understandable if Tofu was just someone who solved other people's problems. But tofu was more, he was the love of his life for Nut.

As Nut said, Tarn showed me the world, Tofu showed me the beauty of the world.

The series shows us a beautiful love between Tofu and Nut that simply doesn't deserve to end like this by murdering Tofu. Neither Tarn nor Tofu's rebirth as a teddy bear can replace her.

Nut will have a deep scar on his heart and soul for life, even though he may be able to live a happy life with Tarn. You don't forget your loved ones even if you move on with your life.

But here the script also makes a huge mistake, as we see how the love between Nut and Tofu develops and forms a wonderful couple (the scene in the cosmetics department where Na says, Tofu is also my son, the three of us are a family is adorable) , you can't find much depth about the love between Tarn and Nut.

It's just a first love and we talk about it because the first love is rarely the only and last one in life. What we see is a high school romance. A senior who has a relationship with a junior and supports him in a hostile environment and helps him to be at peace with himself and his homosexuality.

We see little deep love, more romantic infatuation, which is destroyed by a hostile environment.

After Nut ends the relationship because of his parents, not only the relationship but also all contact is ended. While it is said that Tarn never got over Nut, apart from one visit in 10 years, nothing happened.

And Nut once said that he wanted to see him again, to apologize for ending the relationship, but nothing more. But what prevented him from doing this within 10 years?

Tofu as a teddy bear acts not just as a loving reminder of a person who supported you he becomes the love of Nuts life.

Especially since the plot is structured in such a way that one can have doubts about how things would have turned out for the two of them as a couple. Tarn first studied far away in Chiang Mai and later went to Japan for years. How would the relationship have developed under these circumstances?

Ultimately, this is in contrast to the other statement that the aim is not to repair the past, but to move forward. But here the two take a step back and want to act as if they were meant to be forever. They try to correct the mistakes of the past instead of simply reconciling and keeping in their hearts the beauty of their time together.
I went into this a little longer because I wanted to show that this relationship is perceived more as a romantic first love than as the love of life.

Because Nut experienced this with Tofu, who for him was not only someone who solved his problems, but with whom he experienced the beauty of the world.

So what can I find in an ending in which he continues his life and finds new happiness. Tofu's murder will always haunt him. He has come to terms with it so that it is not an obstacle in life, but that doesn't mean that everything is good.

But I can't be happy about the ending for Tofu either. From a teddy bear who loves his owner like a child, he develops over the course of the series into a person who feels pain and suffering, but also joy and true love.

If the plot then wants us to believe that Tofu is happy with the situation, that is superficial and unbelievable.

Because at the beginning, as Tofu develops more and more into a human, he describes how happy he is that he doesn't just have to wait passively until Nut approaches him, but that he can now approach him himself and hug him or can even kiss.

How is he supposed to seriously cope with being relegated to the passive role of a teddy bear? Especially since bad things can happen in the future, what if Tarn cheats on Nut in front of Tofu and he just has to watch passively in the corner.

I feel like the writers didn't deal enough with grief and loss, which is also evident in Song and his father. I don't know how I would react if I saw someone who looked like my recently deceased father or older brother, who died with 13 years old.. But I couldn't feel much happiness about it, because a person is more than his looks. Nevertheless, this part was partly successful because I experienced the same thing as Song and experienced his pain of not being able to replace his brother. I almost had to cry here because even though it was almost 50 years ago, my soul is still hurt. Don't get me wrong, my parents never behaved like Song's father, but those feelings are just there, I couldn't give my parents grandchildren either.

The only winner of the ending is Tarn, he was able to win back Nut here at the end. Everyone else lost and that makes me angry, sad and frustrated. Maybe they were afraid a solution that would let Tofu stay human and still wake up Tarn would be too cheesy.

But the way the ending is now, they structured the plot poorly and didn't think enough about the feelings when you lose a loved one.

That's often the problem with series and films, they build up a tension that makes you excited for the end and then they offer such a poor solution that doesn't do justice to the previous tension.

So now I've gotten my shit off my chest, like I said, watch the series, despite the unsuccessful ending, the series moved me deeply and I probably wouldn't have written anything about it if it was crap.

I will definitely watch it again, the love story between Tofu and Nut is too good for that. You can fast forward to Sidecouple and maybe you won't watch the last episode during the review.

Fleeting Love-A Heart's Silent Sacrifice

There’s so much I could say about this series—it captured so many forms of love. And while I can’t say I’m angry about how it all turned out, I’m still left in tears, feeling hollow inside. My heart aches for Tofu. I guess that’s the nature of love: finding solace in knowing that someone you love is happy, even if it’s not with you. Even if you’re just a fleeting moment, a bridge for them to find or return to the person they were meant for. But still, it hurts. The ending shattered me in ways I didn’t expect.

This Teddy Bear was more substance than fluff.

Don't be fooled by the cute trailer.
This series is MUCH deeper than it looks. it touches on a very wide variety of topics, including some very difficult ones, and it handles them very well.
My compliments to the writers because this series of interweaving plots had to be handled very carefully and they did an excellent job.
I gave the series a lower rewatch score because it isn't one I'll watch again myself. Several of the storylines hit home a bit too hard for me, I even had to take breaks while watching the show to collect my thoughts. But only very well written stories can have that kind of impact on us, in my opinion.

The acting is quite good, a few misfires in some ways, but not enough to impact the over all quality of the cast.

The music rarely got my attention other than the theme. So it wasn't a distraction or pulling focus from the show and I consider that a good thing.

Special effects were cartoonish at times but in a way that would suit the situation. No downsides to them once you got used to them. It was a tad jarring at first but it makes sense in the long run.

Overall, this series could be a hard watch for some people with a more personal connection to some of the plotlines, but it is still a very good series and I'm glad I watched it.

The novel was one of my favorites so I expected a lot from this story. but left disappointed.
the main couple had very good chemistry, they conveyed the feeling, they were able to approach the plot in a better way.
He seriously poisoned the bear and asking for forgiveness the whole problem was solved.
how I hate the character of YUDO in this series. It did not have any relevance, it was a character that could not convey anything.
Hopefully the main couple can work together in another series.

for some emotional people like me be careful you might cry a few times watching this

at first i thought its going to be just a romantic series with some fantasized factors but as you continue to watch it further its way more deep this series tells a lot about general life and things that we just never realize . a lot of things shown in this series are important to understand for leading a better life ,everyone watch series to kill the time but if it teaches you and help you with personal life there can be nothing better than that i will surely watch this again for me the most emotional part was when tofu decides to sacrife his life because thats the right thing to do even if it hurt him the most also i was sensitive to character of nut not in terms of story but in terms of his feelings a feel realted to him at many steps which definately made me cry

A series with a lot of heart

In all honesty, I expected the silliest and most ridiculous romance plotline of all bls. What I got, though, was a story with so much depth and character analysis you usually don't see in many shows. It consists of 16 episodes of 90 minutes each and no minute goes to waste. No scene felt like a filler to me. If anything I think the episodes could have more duration and still be interesting. The story is so detailed and slowly unfolds along the way giving us an insight to all the characters piece by piece. It tackles serious issues without getting boring or repetitive and keeps a very realistic tone despite the fantasy element. I like that no character is portrayed as ideal in the story and we get to see everyone's flaws. If I could change anything that would probably be some rushed elements, regarding a couple of scenes and some side characters with key roles that needed better writting. As for the acting part, I think everyone was excellent!

This series is one that I would definitely recommend if you are not looking for the usual fluffiness and want a story that invests a lot of time on human bonds and interactions!

INTRESTING

Woah.. Honestly, when i watched the first episode I found a bit weird on how the teddy bear just suddenly turns into a human but that's what makes the dram unique. At first, I thought it was going to be a normal story plot just like other BL's but I was surprised by how the plot was. This drama tackles society issues e.g. how most millennials view the LGBTQ+ family. This is a show I'd recommend watching but I don't think it deserves to be watched the second time. Reasons are:

1) the plot doesn't focus on the main leads love. If it focused a little more on the leads more than the mum it
would have been better.

2) The ending was shallow. This ending is giving an unfinished script that's "supposed" to be "done" in the" next
five minutes" or " I'm too lazy to finish this off" It would have been better if the script writer or the director
took time to go through the script or to adjust the unwanted parts of it it would have been better

3) Its Unrealistic. Yes, I know that it was meant to be supernatural and whatever but, this makes it kind of wierd
For example imagine that on a teddy bear that you've always treasured suddenly turns into a human and
decides to love you for the rest of your life. It juts sounds off and a little lonely. (NO OFFENSE)

Generally, If you want to watch this then go ahead its nice a good waste of time :) - like seriously if your lonely ass has no relationship here at least your teddy got you ;).

The most surprising BL I've ever watched

After watchiing many BL's in the last 6 years I have never found one that was so different to what I expected.
I'd been wanting to watch this show for a while and knew the very basics about it expecting something simple and light hearted. What I didn't expect was how intense it could be covering issues including mental health, abuse and murder which made the story so much more than just a typical BL with Inn and Job doing fantastic jobs as leads.
It is a little irritating in some respects though as it is an excessively long series with scenes that could easily have been tightened up and shortened. Job's unexplained anger for the first few e[isodes is just a bt over the top and the side couple are just irritating.

I like stories with sad endings as most of the time it depicts the reality of life. The ending is bittersweet for me but could have a better ending. Even Nut already had in mind that Tofu the Teddy Bear is Tofu, I would like Tofu to admit that he is really the Teddy Bear.

Since the episode is 1 hour and 30 minutes each, sometimes I just felt it is slow-paced and getting boring at some point.

I would also like to have a stronger connection/relationship between Tofu and Neung since they are played by the same actor. The story of Neung has fade away as the episodes goes by.

Miracles are said to have an end

The story was good except for the ending. Many liked this end though. They brought it to be a happily ended series.
..........................................................................................................
I wish TOFU to end up with Nut rather than reviving Tatarn and patching him up with Nut.
..........................................................................................................
May be I would have been more happy to see, after the death of TOFU and the return of Tarn, Nut Apologizing to Tarn and moving on from his past with the memories of TOFU.
