3% BL. 97% DRAMA

This is as honest as I can get, fair warning to all those planning to watch this for BL purposes: PLEASE DON'T! I gave this series a shot at first and gave it the benefit of the doubt, but it didn't do me justice. It was all good at the beginning, but the ending (last episode) made this series one of the worst endings in history.

I admire Nut's crying skills, though. Love it! Also, their soundtracks are great.

As per my headline, 3% BL was shown, but don't expect too much of that 3% hahaha. I wouldn't recommend this series to BL fans really. You'd be disappointed.

THE STORYLINE IS A DIAMOND IN A FLESH, NOT A HANDFUL OF DUST

Is this really a 16-episode series with an hour and a half long each episode???? I would have been skipping a lot of scenes when it comes to dramas with these very long episodes. But not this one! I enjoyed binge-watching this. This series is jampacked with lessons. There are so much to learn in this series; family relationships, mental health, your own ideal job, struggles of the LGBTQ+ community, love and living in the present. I love how they showed emphasis to the reality of LGBTQ+ in a homophobic society. It is the truth but everyone must stand firmly to who they really are. It can be hard but it will be worth it.

All throughout the entire series, I am fully immersed to the flow of plots. The mysteries behind excite me. The storyline started in a single spring, flowed through different streams, and finally became a wonderful waterfall. I love the compact interrelationships of the characters. I applaud the scriptwriter/s for making an excellent view of all the characters' unique personality. They make it very clear to see what the characters' intentions are.

There may be worst-natured characters here but I don't hate the actor/s who played their roles. Their acting portrays perfectly. Everyone did their best jobs.

What makes this an emotional ride the most is the music behind it. It always strikes me at the right time. Also, I would like to mention what I really love in here. They used the actual singing of the characters. I hate it when it comes to series that uses a recorded song and makes the actor do the lip-syncing. The actor/s look dumb and cringey all the way around.

A MUST-WATCH! It has unique story, great acting, heartfelt music. I will always remember this one. I will rate this with my usual highest 8/10 rewatch value.

(Note: To make you believe that it is worth watching, this is my third highest rated BL drama ever. I still don't have a 10/10 rated BL drama though.)

one of the best series i`ve ever watched!

I took me so long to start watching this series. Honestly, I thought that Miracle of teddy bear will be boring, not interesting at all, but i was totally wrong! This was amazing, i laugh, i cried, i was overwhelmed with emotions. Even the first episode make me realise that this series is worth watching till the end. From the beggining i knew that Tofu will turn back to teddy bear, later when Tatarn came in the picture, i was sure that when he wake up, Tofu will be gone. My feelings about Nut are mixed. Firstly he was arrogant, he kept telling that Tofu is a liar, his behavior to his mum was bad. I felt so sorry for Ms Na, but the end i cant say that she is innocent, mentally ill woman who must be forgiven for her actions. Yes, her husband was awful, Nut didnt deserve such a "father" , but Ms Na, as a mother could make things better - either she took her son away from this man, or been on his side. Being in love with boys, make Nut confused, he probably hate himself and also I feel sorry for Tarn, as well, because he stayed by Nut`s side till the end. Although that I like Tofu more, i was happy that Tarn woke up and had a chance to be with his first love again. Honestly, I expected more scenes about Song and Gen, but on the other hand their problems was nothing, compared to Nut`s - family issues, lies and etc. The final episode was hard to watch. I was prepared for crying and not be able to sleep peacefully after this, but my opionion didnt change - this is one of the best series of 2022. Not everything was clear to me till the end, when i watch it for second time, maybe i will understand some things. And im sure that i`ll rewatch it!
story - 10/10. It was interesting, mixed with fantasy; their love was pure and i was happy for Nut - he became more confident, he succed, found someone who makes him happy when Tarn wasnt in his life.
acting - 10/10. This is the first time i watch series with these actors, but im impressed. They done their job well.
Music - 9.5
Rewatch value - 10/10
Overall - 10/10
I totally recommend it!

The most beautiful and heartfelt BL that has left a permanent mark on me.

This show is breathtaking and honesty is a masterpiece filled with happiness, a perfect story, and is a truly unique piece of art.

Story 10/10:
You will not find a more heartbreaking and meaningful love story out there. The whole show leaves us with this incredibly impactful bittersweet feeling that leaves us remembering this show beautifully. To begin we’re presented with a simple plot of a teddy bear coming to life as a human. This teddy bear named Tofu is owned by Nut, who we learn is a very troubled soul. Tofu pretends to be an amnesiac so that he can be by Nut’s side, as his teddy bear Tofu is filled with love and admiration for his owner.

The story progression and character development is phenomenal as Nut has to learn to love this amnesiac who’s suddenly living in his house, whilst dealing with his own internal and external struggles. Tofu is a beam of light, the very personification of a teddy bear who’s life mission is to make Nut happy. The story progresses their relationship as Nut starts to heal his wounds with Tofu by his side. The more Nut allows Tofu into his heart, the more his trauma and relationships with other people start to heal. Not only does Nut learn to love Tofu, but Tofu allows Nut to love and accept himself.

The show presents us with many realistic and complex plots such as homophobia, the difficulties of mental health and Alzheimer’s, grief, abuse and overall the struggles that come with being a human. We are able to deeply understand all of the characters and watch as they develop due to the effects Tofu has. As the story goes on we begin to realize that Tofu Is not meant to stay, he is truly a miracle that blessed everyone’s life’s. As we advance we learn of Nut’s first love who gifted Nut his teddy bear (Tofu) . Tarn (his first love) was taken away from him due to the homophobic nature of Thailand at the time. We find out Tarn is in a coma and we learn alongside Tofu that Tarn’s love for Nut is what created the miracle that is Tofu. Tofu is an amalgamation of Nut’s desires, feelings of love and regrets. This is why Tofu is able to fix all of Nut’s problems and bless him. In the end of the show we watch as Tofu sacrifices himself to save Tarn, as Tofu is not meant to stay. In the final scenes of the show, Tofu returns to being a teddy bear and forever loves Nut. Nut is able to move on and live a happy life with Tarn and his mother, however he always loves Tofu and always holds him in his heart.

The details and execution of this show was phenomenal, with the foreshadowing of Tofu’s fate shown through Nut being a screenwriter who writes real and tragic love stories. Then as we see in the end Nut writes Tofu’s story and is able to keep his legacy. Absolutely incredible writing and a story that stuck true to its meanings and didn’t try to satisfy the audience but gave us a unique and special story.

Acting/Cast 10/10:
I could not imagine another cast. ‘In’ truly felt like a human teddy bear, his reactions and emotions felt very animated and happy. He wore his emotions on his face, as if he never learnt how to mask his feelings. He truly encapsulated the expressions of a teddy bear and what it would feel like to suddenly be a human. Not only this but as the story goes on we see him progressively get better at being able to hide his emotions and have more human reactions to things. ‘Job’ felt incredibly realistic, I felt every single emotion he displayed so close to my heart. He truly was able to create a story solely with his acting. I felt when he was angry or when he looked at Tofu it genuinely felt as though it was with love. You could feel all of his trauma behind his eyes, but you could also feel it all being lifted away when he was comforted by Tofu. All of the other actors supported beautifully and helped bring the show alive.

Music 10/10:
The Opening and the OST all are perfect for the themes of a bittersweet show. The music was usually soft with an acoustic guitar, piano and played at a slower tempo. This added a nostalgic and temporarily happy feeling to everything. The music was so happy yet it felt like it wasn’t going to last, like you’re looking through a book of memories. I especially enjoyed in the last episode where Nut sings the opening song to Tofu after he passed. This scene was the most heartbreaking to me, as a viewer I didn’t even think about how the lyrics were really foreshadowing how the story would play.
“How long will it last if our hearts are still together?
The day with you by my side, at the end we had to part
This place has meaning with many memories
Stay with me, stay right here
The day when I'm with you is the day we meet again”

Rewatch Value 10/10: I would recommend this show to anyone and can’t wait to show and rewatch it with many people. I feel I will always remember this show and the impact it had on me. I know I will be rewatching it many times as I grow and remember this beautiful story.

Overall 10/10:
‘The Miracle Of A Teddy Bear’ is truly a special story, that cannot be replicated. I truly loved the way it made me feel while I was watching it and how it continues to make me feel. I can’t recommend it enough and hope that it will also have an impact on other people. I think the ending was extremely thought through and could not have gone any other way. I think this show shows us that it’s never too late to be happy, and that life will always bring us miracles. Tofu changed everyone’s lives and truly made Nut happy. He was a miracle. He continues to love Nut as a Teddy bear and Nut is now able to live his life without regrets. In the end we see the characters truly start to believe that Tofu was a teddy bear who came to bring about happiness. Nut always comforts his teddy bear and never ever forgets about Tofu and will always lives
with him in his heart. Tofu was not just a dream, his impact forever lives on. His love will always stays.

too much chaos, not enough connection

this series was hard to get through. there’s a lot of chaos, many unnecessary layers of drama, and characters that kept taking me out of being immersed in the story. Inn did incredible acting that would draw me back in, but the random outbursts of violence against him would sour the good for me. nut was borderline abusive to everyone and I found it hard to feel much sympathy for him most of the time.

I do have to admit that the dragging out of the main story made it hard to connect to nut & his feelings. by the time we get the real picture of his life, the show is basically over. maybe I expected a lot more from the constant high praise I see for this series, but I can’t say I feel like I enjoyed this all too much. I am still giving it a high rating because the acting was good. I hated the parents/twins 97% of the time, so that was good on the actors.

overall, a very frustrating series that left me unsure I even connected to any of the characters.

This series contains good lesson for everyone

This is my first time watching a BL series and I can say that this series didn't disappoint me and my expectations :) I watched this mainly because of Sarin Ronnakiat but I fell in love with the rest of the actors as each episode passed. The series was an eye-opener for the general problems that society has right now (this includes discrimination toward LGBTQ and lack of understanding about them, insufficient justice, and abuse of power).

I am sad and can't move on with how the ending turned out. I already expected at the beginning of the show that tofu would go back from being a teddy bear but I didn't expect the way he used to go back as a teddy bear. Also, I thought that tofu would solve the secrets he discovered first before he transformed back from being a teddy bear. I think it'll be more interesting if he was able to help before his time ends. It's also sad that Nut wasn't able to learn who Tofu was but his realization, in the end, helped me ease my pain, haha! It kinda made me disappointed that Tofu didn't get his justice (since Saen took the responsibility that's why Jan wasn't put in jail) even if he wanted it to happen. (sorry if this part of the review was confusing, I didn't want to construct it in a straight-to-the-point form as it might spoil some readers).

Overall, everything from this series (actors, music, plot, etc.) are 100/10 for me <3 I'll definitely miss Tofu and Nut so much, I wish they could do a sequel where Tofu got to wake up again and Nut will have to decide which from his loved ones will get the chance to live, haha! It's too sad for me that they didn't end up together, but I know it is impossible because Tofu is his beloved teddy bear and not a human.

Was Good, but………

First off, I enjoyed this series, but the ending made me really sad and disappointed that it ended that way. P’Nut had a very harsh upbringing and thus his former boyfriend from high school bought him a teddy bear named Taohu (Tofu). Long story short, the teddy bear comes to life one day and helps P’Nut overcome his own problems at home and problems from the past too. Basically, Tofu spends all this time, getting to know P’Nut more and more, but in the end, can’t be with him because Tofu turns back into a teddy bear. So in the end, P’Nut goes back to his ex-boyfriend from high school. Not to mention, there are people in this series that I ABSOLUTELY HATE and I HATE that JUSTICE was NOT served. The cast did an amazing job because boy did I hate some characters. This drama isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s quite a dark, depressing family type of story that slowly unfolds and has its sweet moments, but ultimately, falls flat in my opinion, but it is worth watching still. If you watch this series, you will understand why I didn’t like the ending, but it is nice to see how the main character grows up and becomes a better person overall.

One of the best BL series I've seen so far

This has been the first live action BL drama I ever saw, and I really got in love with it.

The plot is original and well written; some of the actors are not so good, but the main roles are strong and well played. The characters are well defined and have an interesting evolution over time. Oh, and Tofu is really extremely "kawaii"! <3
The plot twists are often unexpected, yet they still make sense. For example, I didn't like the ending, but I understand the reason why it was written that way, so I'm ok with it after all; and the series was overall touching and fun to watch, so I'd recommend it and I think I may as well rewatch it sooner or later, maybe with my loved one!

Pathetic show stupid story line...damn depressing....although its. Not about being depress but writer puts illogical things without any real emotions...for example ..main lead currently with his boyfrd and writing story on his x all the time missing his first love ....though he is already in love always talks about his past love in front of current boyfrd I mean dis series is totally shit stupid storyline ..totally wastage of time...I have seen so many bl and I love bl dramas so much but dis show totally pissed me off am not saying because there is sad ending but emotions are illogical .main lead used to love both current and x at a same time on the top of that he always ask current boyfrd not to get mad because he still miss his x I mean what the fucking shit is dis ..writer only want to make viewer emotional without any strong storyline..totally..pathetic...

Strange three way relationship with a bear

I have managed to binge watch the series. I am in two minds about it. I liked that it was different took me through different emotions. Touched on a lot of issues within family like sexuality, jealousy, anger and trauma. It was a good effort. I know a lot of people don’t like the ending at least there is mixed reviews about it but i found the ending fitting is some ways and weird and strange in others. The strong feeling being weird. To be frank its almost as though it ended with a three way relationship between Tarn, Nut and Tofu the teddy bear.

WHAT I DDINT LIKE-
- Nut and how he was as a son to his mum. His mother was clearly ill but he had no regard and treated her harshly through most of the series. Pretty much ignored her.
-His treatment of Tofu, Tofu was used as physical and emotional punching bag and it did nt change through the whole series . I found this disturbing, its clear he had issues but all he did was lash out.
-The lack of consequences for the guilty parties is ridiculous.
- No real explanation on how on earth Tofu looked like Neung?? I mean come on.
- WHY DID WE HAVE TO HAVE LESBIAN RELATIONSHIP JUST THROWN IN THERE??

Would i rewatch- nope. Is it work investing 16 x1.5hrs of my life somewhat, OST unmemorable

I can't believe I wasted 1440 minutes of my life to watch this shit. esp ep 16 too much cgi going on I was laughing in pain as I remembered how I was made a fool by watching 2gether the series. I ask myself yyy the disappointing part of this is that the main character is an inanimate object I was thinking that since Tofu had a connection with Tatarn then he had to beat Anton imagine my shock to realise they are two different entities had it been that the teddy bear went back to its original body it would have made absolute sense by what the hell is this crap waste of time. The ridiculous part where the teddy bear was running away from the dog and still had the energy to pick up a slippers as a m************ Cinderella going after his Prince charming then the so-called 'Cinderella' watches his Prince charming getting together with his ex until they are going to get married then he does this kind of weird voodoo shit in a dream he comes back to being human again they make out really I waste one and a half hours every day to watch this f****** episode disappointing 0 stars.

Abusive

This series reminds me of Chinese BLs Toxic to the end implying that living an alternative life style brings you nothing but grief. Giving this series a high rating despite the abusive story line is not ok to me. The ML gets treated like dirt after he has done nothing but try to bring joy to others to the end. SMH, I would have been happier if they showed the bear in a thrift store having a second chance at a better life. Its not ok to reward those who are selfish and toxic to those in their lives.
