Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo: Hong Kong Kowloon Zaiho Satsujin Jiken (2013)

I am a Kindaichi fan. Actually. I just like the original Kindiaichi and I have not watched the other seasons because I didn't think the other seem to have that aura of the characters that the original actors, Domoto Tsuyoshi and Tomosaka Rie had. I did try one/two episode of Matsumoto Jun and Naitou Takashi but Matsumoto played it really coolly and the girl seemed clingy.

I watched a bit of Kamenashi Kazuya and Ueno Juri and he did make him more playful but his appearance doesn't really match the Kindaichi description.

Anyway, this is the only Kindaichi that I watched that is not the original and I watched it the whole way through. I am very impressed with Yamada Ryosuke and Kawaguchi Haruna but especially Yamada Ryosuke since he reminds me so much of Domoto Tsuyoshi in terms of acting Kindaichi (he really did his homework and must have watched it a few times himeself) Apart from looking a little bit chubbier his voice sounds like him. Kawaguchi Haruna also did a good job.

The story is your usual Kindaichi which usually (well I usually) do not know the killer until towards the end plus it is modernised.
I definitely recommend this to the Kindaichi fans.

i thought that this was good ^_^
to tell you the truth the only reason i watched this was because of wu chun and seungri ^_^
i gave the story a 9 because it was little confusing to me but over all it was really good
i gave acting/cast 10 because i loved who they picked thought that each were good for there parts
and plus i thought that they did acted well ^_^
if you like mystery's totally watch this OR IF YOU JUST WANT TO WATCH THIS BECAUSE YOUR FAV STAR IS IN IT ^_^
ooh yah i didn't every much get that it was a japanese drama and it was in hong kong but doesn't really matter
so basically I THINK THAT THIS IS GOOD ^_^

To tell you the truth, I was expecting a great drama special because of its boost and everything. But after watching this it was a huge disappointment. The story is not interesting at all, it's confusing and the great co-stars are there just to promote the whole drama. I couldn't feel nothing else there. Even the dubbing of Wu Chun was very disturbing. (they should use different voice actor)
Yamada's acting was very similar to his other characters (like in Hidarime Tantei Eye) and I couldn't see an unique Kindaichi at all. And Arioka Daiki was just an eye candy, I wished he would do more in the story. Kawaguchi Haruna was....well, she played 2 characters and we couldn't see any difference either.
For me, this was a big fail and I can't give this more than 4 point overall.

To start with, i think this case and the plot of it was good however the actors failed to completely pull it off which was a great let down.

Where is the expressions? where is the proper voice manipulations? Kawaguchi Haruna who was supposed to be the strongest acting wise, was the weakest. Then yamada...i really don't think he gave a new dimension to this role and did not even completely catch "kindaichi". Wu chun... well ...obviously -.- i am not a fan of his acting since i think he needs to work on it more and in this one , indeed it was bad. I think the only one who did a good job was kiritani kenta. sungri had a small role but he was bad at it. almost as bad as kawaguchi.

the music was nice , , nothing great .

Lastly, I would like to talk about the predictability of this. I dunno if others found it easy to spot the murderer but it was somewhat obvious that it was not one of the three brothers.

as far as rewatching goes, i do not think that it will be the same as the first time and things will become boring.
