Ah-Lok, Bo Zai and Ming Ming have been best friends since university. Ah-Lok harbours a dream of becoming a musician but busking on the streets does not a career make. Bo Zai’s girlfriend wants to break it off, confident that he will never be able to afford a house of his own. Having grown up in a single-parent household after her parents divorced, Ming Ming comes to equate security with money. Despite their best efforts, all three remain unemployed.
