Uncannily Amazing
If you like Fantasy-Action with a young protagonist in a team based setting kicking a$$, then you would love this drama. It is somewhat similar to the anime Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer, minus the killings. The drama was unexpectedly good with a deep storyline (or maybe it is actually expected seeing it was adopted from a webtoon). As someone who hadn't read the webtoon, I don't know how it is compared to the webtoon, but as a drama it was amazing. The drama had everything a good drama should have. It had happy moments, sad moments, funny moments, serious moments, it had everything and they were properly balanced. The characters were well written with their own background stories as well as the villains. The cast looked great and did a great job in their respective roles. The protagonist had a lovable and funny character and the team mates were unique with their own charms. The OST was beautiful. The VFX was good too.
Overall I think it is a very worthy watch if you like action fantasy dramas and should give it a try for sure.

Fun, Sad, Friends, Family, Demon Hunters, Demon what else do you want, this may just have it
I had this on my list for a while I am a person that gets afraid easily watching demons and spooky stuff but I am so glad I finally watched this. From the cast, characters, and story line it was all so good. Even with having demons in it, they had a lot of humor that you may be a little scared but in the next scene you would be either smiling, or concerned for the characters that you are on a emotional little ride. I loved the cast and how they ended up being like a family to one another, I loved the friends in this, and I was definitely hoping that the bad guys, and demon's would get what they deserved and that the hero's of our story would win!Very Enjoyable drama if you want some action, fights, humor and enjoying a group of people the really care for each other!

MY ABSOLUTE FAV DRAMA
Okay, I never gave any reviews before, but I have to give this story a one. This drama has everything I searched in the past few days. It has comedy, fantasy, mystery, emotional scenes and absolutely everything. I have fallen in love with each and every character. This made me cry and smile at the same time. I was rooting for Mun the whole series, like other counters, we have seen him grow in front of our eyes, the way I was proud of him. I would say one should watch it, like you be hooked from the every start. The only thing is hate I have to wait a month for the next season. Anyways it's a masterpiece made in Yung..Was this review helpful to you?

It's not perfect but it's worth it!!
As the heading says, this isn't a perfect drama by any means. There are a decent number of things to dislike about this drama but honestly, they make up for it through its wholesomeness and heartwarming moments. I'm very happy with how episode 16 turned out and the warm and fuzzy feelings are at an all time high right now. This was such a fun, wonderful, and heartwarming drama to watch. I was quite skeptical at the beginning, but I kept seeing such good things about this drama and wondered what this cheesy-looking drama can bring to the table. Lately, dramas that have been hyped up haven't been that good, in my opinion, so I really didn't expect much with this one. But I'm so glad I decided to watch it.If you're on the fence, and you're reading this, then this is your sign to just watch it!! Give it a shot, I was hooked on the first episode and I hope that happens for you too.
Maybe I'll come back to edit this with a more thorough review, but for now, its time to head to bed because I stayed up way too late to finish it. Bye for now!

What's uncanny about 'The Uncanny Counter' is how good it is
I didn't expect to enjoy 'The Uncanny Counter' as much as I did. The series didn't take itself too seriously and the performances were solid all around. I mean, a show about demon hunting is not exactly an original concept treading over familiar territory but the characters are just so gosh darn likable! The fight scenes were well-choreographed, keeping my suspension of disbelief to a minimum, and the season 1 finale was very satisfying. As always, I'm not a fan of the 16 episodes format on Netflix with a run-time of a little over an hour for each episode and padding them with flashbacks among other things. But it proved not to be a deal-breaker...this time. I'm looking forward to season 2.Was this review helpful to you?

If you're a fan of the supernatural dramas then this one will be a good watch. I love the dramas Tomorrow and Mystic Pop-Up and this felt pretty similar to those two. A group that turns into a found family fighting evil spirits. It's not a new concept, but I did love the way that Uncanny Counter went about it. To start, you know when Yeom Hye Ran is in a drama she is going to play the hell out of her part. I love her so much with every one of her characters, but Ms. Chu has such a special place in my heart. A bad-ass mother figure who would do anything for her family. I loved every scene we got with her and her son and most of her scenes got me choked up. Honestly, every actor did such a great job. The other one that stood out for me was Kim Se Jeong. Ha Na's character was incredible and she did such a great job at capturing her emotions and portraying them. I loved the character development she went through throughout the series.
This show does a really good job with the effects of their powers, evil spirits, etc. Most can come off pretty cheesy, but this one was done in a nice way to where it looked actually pretty real. The action scenes were good but obviously exaggerated to play off their strength they gain as counters. I especially loved the fight scenes towards the middle and end of the series. Especially when So Mun is trying to learn how to use and control his territory power. I do wish we could've seen more of his other power of being a gateway. I feel like it got mentioned one time after Wi Gen discovers that's what he has. It's not really mentioned again after that.. and that seems like a pretty important and intense power.
I think one thing I really enjoyed about this drama was that everyone went through huge character developments and came out on the other side better. They each are dealing with their own issues and trauma, but together work through it and overcome their grief to become better people. It was really nice seeing each of them settle with that it wasn't their fault the awful things happened to them and that they should live on for their families that weren't able to. I wish we could've gotten more scenes with Ha-Na and her family, but especially Mo Tak and Jung Young. Their story had just started again and was cut so short.
I love found family dramas especially of the supernatural kind and this one was a perfect fit for that. It can get a little slow and repetitive towards the middle and I even found myself about to drop it at some point, but it quickly picks back up and gets over the hump it has.

A family drama
it's a nice drama. the story is very nice and interesting. it got a good casting. it's emotional and interesting at the same time. about the music it is fine, but I like the story and the Casting more and it's got a good free rewatch value because it's nice to watch with the families and like there are no explicit scenes so it is good to watch and yeah, I don't know why some people say that it is not good and it is not worth watching like my best friend said she doesn't like it. I don't know why and I just finished watching season 1 and I'm starting season 2 right now. and like there are many scenes that made me so emotional. yeah it's a good drama and I would say the music is not that much to my taste but music is also nice. like the background music is good and about the intro I don't know about the it. It was fine I usually skip the intros so.Was this review helpful to you?
Who hasn't had the dream of one day getting superpowers and then take revenge on your bullies?
That is what happens to So Mun one day when he gets possessed by a spirit. Well, that is kinda what happens, turns out you only get to keep the superpowers you get if you use them for good, aka hunting down evil spirits and making sure they don't go around hurt and killing peopleThis is such a good drama that keeps the momentum from the first episode going all up until the last one, it is a fun ride with plenty of emotional moments that didn't fail to get my eyes all misty.
This is one drama I'd recommend everyone to watch since it has a little bit of everything. Great stuff!

Waiting for season 2
Overall it was a feel good drama . Definitely enjoyed it. i was obviously supporting our counters but if im to be honest, the evil spirits did an awesome job and i found myself loving them more than main cast. The story was intriguing but there were a few loop holes that made the drama frustrating to watch. In some scenes our protagonists felt lacking in power and decision making. The Most annoying bunch was the heaven team or whatever. They were completely useless other than the fact that they provided powers in my view.I'm hoping they fix some of the issues in season 2 and hopefully the main cast will all be there . Overall if you want something fun to watch that leaves you in a good mood, this could be it. The drama is filled with superpowers, team work and is family oriented which heartwarming. You'll love it despite some of its small flaws.

Can’t imagine the after life and people who are selected to protect us against evil. The series make you realize the importance of the family, friends and love ones. You will also notice the meaning of trust and forgiveness to them. Maybe at the very start is not easy to forgive anything but justice will prevail soon.

One of my most favourite dramas
If you're wondering whether to start this drama or not, take this review as a sign that you definitely should! All of the counters have explained backstories that will make you love them even more once you get to know them better but they are so much likeable even from the start. Don't make me choose a favourite among them, I just can't. Their characters were 3rd dimensional and felt realistic. Their relationship (found family!) felt so real too, it was so wholesome how they cared for each other and took care of each other. And I loved how this drama wasn't romance focused.
The drama mixes a variety of genres so well, mainly mystery, action, thriller, and comedy with a dash of school, political, and supernatural elements. It might seem like a lot of genres that don't go well together sometimes but this drama just manages to balance everything just right. My favourite would be the action scenes, I love to see some street-leveled superheroes that don't fell overpowered at the same time.
A well-deserved 10/10 rating from me and I can't wait for season 2!

HES SO CUTE TOO WTFFFFF…. and them together… i hope second season they get more screen time i love the ship between the two of them….. SO CUTE.i love the found family trope awww the bonds r so tight. characters are really good. storyline i wish was less emo scary focused and had more parts of the funny side. def potential to be a comedy x thriller?. if that even works like that. too much of the evil spirits. i wish it was one of those like each episode is a different spirit, not just all of them dedicated to one spirit. and the killing
off of that new guy and the detective girl… cruel. better not have any MC deaths….. or i’ll cry. i feel like the ms chi might die…….. ANJAJAJSJMSKS,S,SMSMSM
BUT I LOVE KIM SEJONG SOOO MUCH. MY FAV ACTRESS EVER AND UST PERSON IN GENERAL. LOVE THAT WOMAN.
