This is my first ever review, that I gave 10/10 ratings.Concept was unique and very intriguing. The creator/writers did a great job, making a whole new world for viewers to enjoy. They were also successful in creating relatable lovable characters.
A world where superheroes can go to school, learn and gain friends, face bullies. Where superheroes do the dishes, cook, eat good food and travel around. Do all these and other mundane things while fighting evil.
I would love to see another season.

Good Enough
Korean Drama " Uncanny Counter " is a wonderful blend of action, comedy and family dynamics.The drama has a perfect atmosphere, almost like a webtoon, with perfect action scenes and a beautiful world built. The drama introduces the universe of the counters slowly and the viewer gets to know it at the same time as the main character. The family dynamics of the small group of the counters were perfect, emotional at times, funny at others. The story is also full of small cases that the counters had to solve, which were interesting and entertaining, while it follows the main 'big' mystery of the case that eventually involves everyone.
The performances were great as well, and everyone had the perfect chemistry with each other. However, the main lead got annoying and tiring to watch when he was struggling to maintain the barrier thing, as it looked a bit fake and overacted. But the rest of his acting was really good. Also, the guys of the 'other side' were overbearing at times.
So, overall, 8.5 out of 10 for this pretty entertaining drama.

Good first season.
It tells the story of the demons hunters called Counters, whose goal is to capture Evil Spirits that have return to earth in pursuit of Eternal Life.It is the somewhat typical series that brings together several elements, such as endearing characters and forming a team that becomes a family. We cannot help but root for the characters, like So Moon, who is the new addition to the Counters, it is a pure and innocent young man, who has two adorable grandparents and a lively trauma left by the death of his parents. He is our main character.
Then, Do Ha Na a mysterious but sensitive young women, who does not hesitate to fight for those she loves.
Ga Mo Tak, who was a police officer but lost his memory seven years ago after an accident, strangely the same day when So Moon's father and mother died, who were also police officers. Ga Mo Tak becomes So Moon’s mentor.
Chu Mae Ok is the maternal and protective figure of the group, she is ready to do anything for them, even to sacrificed her own life.
And finally, Choi Jang Mool, who comes and helps the other Counters from time to time, he is in charge of all of the Counters' expenses.
The series comes down to politicians who use their power to crush anyone who puts themselves in their path, they do not hesitate to corrupt and kill, using the worst methods, even going so far as to poison water reserves that the population use without the slightest care of killing them.
The series also take a look at the bullying done in schools, with the bullies which are protected instead of the victims, generally because they have highly placed parents.
And then the heart of the series, the Evils Spirit that the Counters fight, including one in particular which is at the origin of many pains, losses and trauma of several characters.
The script is not complicated but it is well put together, it gives us action, humorous, touching, sad, painful moments, it is a complete package. On the other hand, I would be honest, a lot of plots are predictable and scenes that I have just skipped, so there is this modern cheesy element but in the end it is good.
In summary, it is everything that people are craving for, I am more curious to see season 2, I want to see more sides and depth to our characters, even new faces, I want to see new challenges.
So a solid and entertaining first season, good production and script, and acting (even though nobody really stood out among them - yet, I hope next season will change that), and I'm waiting for more depth for season 2.

ONE OF 2020's BEST DRAMA!!!
Aside from Kim Se-Jeong and Joe Byeong-Gyu, the reason why I get interested on this drama was because of its genre plus it was produced by OCN. The story line and plot was new to me for this genre because normally, a crime was solved by Police but in this story the Counters are the front runner in catching the culprit possessed by evil spirit before handling them to the Authority. The suspense and trills in watching this drama was not that intense compared to a normal crime drama but you won't mind it since the pacing of every episode, the editing and the effects made here was superb plus the Actors were really great. 2 thumbs up .........Was this review helpful to you?
The excitement that NEVER STOPS!! literally
For someone who have never read the webtoon, I just gonna say: this drama is more than just amazing! It took me less than 3 days to finish the whole series simply because I just couldn't stop watching!!!!
From casting, to plots, to action scenes, and production, this drama is a perfection! There isn't any dull moment throughout the series and it's like a thrilling ride! So if you haven't watch it, you should go ahead and enjoy the ride, it will end before you even noticed! As there are a lot of shows with a pretty good start and went down the trail in the second half, but for this one, nope! It gets higher and higher that gives you a lot of anticipation till the end!
You could say it is a comedy, a thriller, a mystery, a fantasy, or an action drama, because it has all the genres in it!
If you are skeptical and worried of horror scenes, I can assure you it's not that scary, I don't fancy horror dramas too but this is perfectly fine for me! But do expect some tense up whenever you see the evil ghosts in action, but trust me, that excitement is just the thing that keeps you going! XD
I really adore the counter squad SO MUCH! Although they weren't related to each other and share different personality, when they come together, they became a bunch of sweethearts that make you smile :) Plus, their acting are really ON POINT that gets you into it! Action scenes or crying scenes, you name it! Never underestimate those young actor and actress; Byung Gyu and Se Jeong totally slayed it!
I would say they had a pretty good production too, literally nothing to pick on! Besides the action scenes, I really love how the male lead was summoning out the Territory, those colour effects!!! Gosh so heroic and I love it!!!!
Well since I couldn't name anything that I don't like about the show, it gives an absolute 10/10! Or maybe one bad thing of this drama is that "It ends"!!! I heard they are having a Season 2 and I can't wait for it! Definitely one of the best dramas I have seen in the past year!!! Highly recommend :)

Exciting To No End
Personally, I was very skeptical before starting it.There is absolytely no reason to be skeptical. I was bewatched from the first episode. The actors, the music and the special effects work together like amagic.
The plot / Story 10/10
The plot was incredible and very well thought. At the end there were no questions left unanswered. Moreover it progressed beautifully. Not too fast not too slow.
What I really liked was that there wasn't any rommance. While I genarally enjoy a good rommance series I liked how we had time to watch the personality of So Moon develop. We watched him go from a boy with a lot of questions and uncertainty to an determined adult who knew what he wanted. Also watching him learn how to use his powers and find new ways to protect his friends and family really made my day.
The special effects were beautiful. All the colours really held my attention and personally speaking they were pretty good.
Acting/Cast 9/10
The acting was good too. I think that the actors gave away the personalities of their characters greatly. Also loved the developement in So Moon's personality and the change of heart in Shin Hyuk Woo'w [Mayor's son.
Music 8/10
It was there and i helped crucial moments and it created stress but it just didnt stand out to me that much. I think it was the weakest part of the whole series.

Frankly speaking I already have watched it 2 times and would go for a 3d. I think that its good and eventhough I am aware what happens I don't get bored.
Overall 9/10
I highly recommend it . It cooparates action, fantasy and mystery nicely and its really enjoyable.

Really great story and acting!!
This was such an amazing drama!!! The actor that played Ji Cheong Shin was crazy good! I hope he gets a lot more rolls in the future because of his great acting in this show. The acting in this show as a whole from all of the actors was top notch. Every emotional part made me cry and hit me just as hard as the writer probably intended for. Personally I was happy with the non-cliffhanger ending. Although it was kind of lackluster I enjoyed how it didn’t leave me emotionally stressed lol. The whole fighting sequence at the end was so satisfying and made me fangirl so much over the characters lol! 10/10 show. I think this drama had just the right amount of comedy, action, and emotion. 시작하자,그래서 문, 카운터가 된 남자인데 나중에 알고 보니 솔직하게 죽인 부모님이 이 역할을 너무 잘 표현해서 자신이 느꼈던 분노도, 눈물도, 그냥. 그가 학교에서 괴롭힘을당하는 부분을 솔직하게 즐겼습니다.
하나, 그 중 제가 제일 좋아하는 사람이에요. 차갑고 냉담하고 얄밉게 굴지 않는 그런 여자거든요. 벌써 시즌2가 나와서 3년을 기다리지 않아도 되는 걸 보고 정말 기뻤어요. 나는 이 장르의 드라마 애호가들에게 이 드라마를 절대적으로 추천할 것입니다. 이 드라마는 백만 달러를 투자할 가치가 있습니다. 어쨌든 즐기세요

Korean superhero version ,, fun watch mixed with tears and action
I felt like watching the Flash DC American tv show ,,it's so similar to this dramaThe same start up for super hero story of a teenage kid
I liked the start ,,it was so interesting and emotional ,,, got a bit draggy in the middle with all the crime investigation fillers that had nothing to do with the actual story just to make it logical criminal case
I loved all the relationships of this drama ,, the friendship and the surrogate family unit they formed
Didn't like some parts of the Yung's side ,, it wasn't that interesting ,, punch of people in white giving the superheroes their powers ,,judging them while they are in their seats watching ,, endangering the kid's life more than once for their strict rules ,,, the other side was weak and wasn't thought properly by the writer
What I didn't like
1-the writer forget all about the kid's school and how he explained his absence fighting with the others all day every day
2-the male lead cried too much for someone whose 18 years old lost his parents seven years ago ,, I know I don't cry that much after losing my dad so many years ago ,,, that was too much crying not even logical ,, he wasn't a helpless little girl
3- The criminal case that was investigated by Mu tak took too long and was draggy
4-The bully kid was so interesting but they didn't handle his story properly at the ending ,, what happened to him after leaving school and why didn't the male lead asked him to be friends with him and kept him close
5-there were new characters introduced then disappeared for no good reason
6-that muddy bit with evil souls in it eating or drowning each other wasn't scary nor felt like good punishment
Actually too many issues but overall it was good watch

The best kdrama ever!!
I love this drama! The plot is great and interesting! It gets more interesting and intriguing with each passing episode! I recommend it to anyone who likes dramas with supernatural powers! Also, the actors played their roles so well that after watching Lee Hong Nae in Doctor Romantic 3 I wanted to call the counters... The music is totally iconic. Kim Se Jеong's vocals are phenomenal, a true talent.. Cho Byеоng Kyu made me fall in love with the role of Soo Moon! Really very talented actors!!! Watch it!!!
