better off as a binge
cookie (I mean Kook Hee) as a male lead was amazing, he was sweet, UWU, adorable smile, six pack, considerate and charming and the fl was normal enough with her own career and lifenow everything else was horrible, there was no plot, no real planning, no development, just a bunch of random events thrown together, and worse by the end all of the plots were resolved as if nothing happened..
2nd fl's boyfriend issues and 3rd fl's husband problems all sounded so big but by the end they just brushed it off and everything was fine again ;/
cookie was a sweet guy but his traumatic past was a cheap move for conflict, just as cheap as their final breakup ;/ eventhough this wasn't like the usual 16 ep dramas where the breakup lasts from ep12-14, here everything lasted for 5mins...
basically just another romcom in a pile of romcom cliches, but the ml is actually worthy rather than the usual rich jerks ;D

this drama was one of it kind because of it interesting story the only downfall that its only 10 episodes and i need more because i loved everything, the cast was so cute together and in this drama it was my first time seeing bomi from Apink acts and they really gave her the perfect role. what is amazing about this drama that everyone has his own interesting story not related to the main couple they where funny and meaningful i really recommend watching this drama if you are searching for something fluffy and easy to digest while laughing most of the time. Was this review helpful to you?
Good Enough
Korean Drama " Please Don't Date Him " uses the prompt of the sci fi story well and blends it nicely with the romance. However, it leaves a lot unsolved and the big mysteries were not as satisfying as they should. Also, the characters tended to act in an annoying way, or, to be more specific, in a frustrating way. In addition, the camera work was shaky.
Now that we got the negative parts of the drama out, let's talk about the positive ones. The romance was pretty sweet, and the couple had chemistry. The two side couples were pretty entertaining too and funny at times. The three girlfriends and their friendship were even more interesting. The drama was also spot on. Finally, the industrial spy case was thrilling at moments.
Also, the performances were all great from everyone in the cast.
So, overall, six and a half out of ten.

A Waste of Time...Not Cute
My 4 categories are Acting/Cast, Writing, Direction/SFX/Music, Entertainment Value. It was only 10 episodes, so why not? I tend to be draw to sci-fi k-dramas, but I usually don’t end up liking them very much.
Acting/Cast: Not terrible. I did like the three main girls. I didn’t have a problem with them or their acting. The male lead on the other hand…so boring and unlikeable. Also, the doctor love interest is super boring. The male lead’s firefighter friend is really the only male character that has some personality. 4/10
Writing: I don’t know what is happening with this story/character writing. It doesn’t make any sense. All the male characters are terrible, but it’s okay?? No character growth. No consequences for bad behavior. And even though I didn’t have a problem with three female friends as characters, they really weren’t much better than the men regarding maturity or morality. The male lead pissed me off the most as a character. He’s very self-righteous and wimpy…and that doesn’t really make sense for a firefighter. The way his story line played out was just so lame…Actually, I’m reminded of how I felt watching the second half of Marry My Husband. The drama became super cheesy and dumb. What they did with the ex boyfriend also pissed me off. He was committing crimes against the female lead -- really bad crimes…disgusting crimes…and what? We’re supposed to just laugh it off? Well, that’s what the writers did. The conflicts that persist throughout the drama are all lame. You can’t have storylines with bad people doing horrible, repulsive things, but then the main conflict is that the female lead is bad because she looked at some loser’s DMs. WHO CARES. My FBI guy does that shit in his sleep. 1/10
Direction/SFX/Music: Nothing special. Very basic. I can’t say that this drama has anything special or charming about it. The pacing is messed up. The Noble Idiocy happens too late and too random and is resolved so fast that I don’t even know how it happened. Noble Idiocy is a bad trope anyway. 1.5/10
Entertainment Value: The first half of the drama was interesting to me. The evil ex / stalker plot quickly drew me in. Everything fell apart in the second half of the drama. It’s as though the writers weren’t sure what they wanted to say with this drama. It’s just all over the place. Toxic characters are basically redeemed or brushed over for no reason. It left such a bad taste in my mouth. As entertained as I was in the first half, by the end of the drama I was left rolling my eyes. Apparently, people thought this drama was funny and that’s where a lot of its charm comes from. I don’t remember laughing once. Actually, it has very serious subject matter (stalking, sexual harassment, extreme dating violence, death, trauma, infidelity, infertility), so I didn’t find anything funny about it. 1/10
Overall, I gave this drama a 2/10. I wish I didn’t waste my time watching it. Some of the actors were decent and the first half was entertaining enough, but that’s about it.

The finale is not great, it feels like they didn't give an eff anymore. That zip tie scene is more than just teribad, but I've seen worse endings & at least it ends on a joyful, albeit rushed note.
There are lots of good things too. There were some really great impactful, touching scenes, even though I'm not entirely sold on the OTP's chemistry, but they were great at their respective roles. In fact the entire cast was great. The show kind of reminds me of Be Melodramatic at times. It's obviously not nearly as good, but some of the same vibe is still present. The secondary couples were great, I wish they spent more time exploring those relationships. Then again I'm not sure what the original intent was with the single parent firefighter's story. It feels like too much ended up being cut for me to understand what the writers wanted to do (and there was too little screentime for the husband) Speaking of content being cut, the cartoon villain in the last episode feels way too arbitrary.
The average rating of this show as of writing this review is 7,7. I think that's more than fair, then again there are many in the 8,2-8,4 range that are hugely worse. Ultimately I think the drama is worth watching, it's more than just a meaningless filler show, despite me somewhat generously rating it only 7,5.
-----
Yoon Bomi is the best.
Even Noh Sayon shows up in the drama with her husband. (I remember seeing her NG a simple scene in a variety show 30 times in a row, I never thought she would ever try a cameo appearance in anything :-) ) I love her, but she has no acting talent.

"Don't date him"wud be precise to say "Don't date HER"
The movie shouldn't be titled - "Don't date him" it wud be precise to say "Don't date HER" Cz both friends of female lead are ugly and undateable on the inside..worst personalities!Currently watching... Very predictable scenes but good drama until now... I am praying for the café owner and her husband's relationship, I am currently in fourth episode and I feel a bit weirded out by the relationship between café woman and the firefighter guy... Café woman's husband is going thru a fragile period, and she has kinda started to like this guy and also saw his 3 kids .. I don't like where their relationship is heading to also, the look the ex of the female lead look waaay too bad and obvious. Drama producers shud stop with obvious roles and let the viewers adapt and decide a bit... Drama is about a story by development and not a statement/message which happens in movies. But, most k-dramas today are bland in that way and everything seems waaay too direct and statement-ish.
Also, the other friend the female lead has...my god she is the worst!! Don't even ask me whr i shud get started... This comment from an opinion will change into an insult... She doesn't have a character per se.. just a sex maniac who expect s good from others wen she herself has a trash personality!
Update1: ep.6 currently watching.. pretty much clear to me that the café owner doesn't deserve her husband. The moment she understood his sperms were weak to reproduce, she subconsciously started looking into male lead's firefighting partner ..... So dirty is her mindset that I am really pissed by her attitude..her true face is real ugly and I actually feel sorry for the husband.
Update 2: reached Episode 7 and decided to stop watching this series... This is the first drama that made uncomfortable and squirmish. I mean except for the Male lead and Female lead evry1 else is a horrible personality/character. The one character of café owner that I loved in the start is the very reason I decided to stop watching anymore, her character makes me feel like vomiting on her face, I mean how horrible can u become? U emotionally and psychologically cheated with another man even let ur close friend know that u r cheating on ur husband (indirectly). Also, the worst part being u insulted him his manhood and his authority (in a loving sense) over u in front of the man u r cheating wid and guess what?!?!? GUESS WHAT?!?!?! U THINK UR HUSBAND ID CHEATING!!! SERIOUSLY!!! HOW WORSE AND LOW CAN THIS PERSON GET? SHE REALLY DOESN'T DESERVE HER HUSBAND I REALLY DON'T CARE IF HE'S A horrible person, she doesn't deserve anybody.. literally!

TW: Don't read if you are sensitive to criticism.
Before I dive in, here are some things I want to stress about a 10/10 drama for me. It has to be captivating from beginning to end; it has to have a high rewatch value; it has to not have a part where I want to spam the "skip 10 seconds "button. <-These are just some of my standards. I also was not recommended this by my friends; I found it on my own. Now, as you probably can see, I dropped this drama at its first episode. That comes to say that it doesn't even complete the first criteria, let alone 2 or 3--giving me absolutely no motivation to finish the drama. I can't really say much about the storyline, as I have not finished and WILL not attempt to finish it, but I can say FOR SURE that the build-up was a pretty big let-down. The screenplay wasn't that good and the introduction of each character was just either too much or too little. I knew who the main character was, but the amount of screentime she got gave me second thoughts.
Moving on to the cast, I can say that I came 100% for the cast. I already watched Jun's [U-kiss and former UNB] other drama (Goodbye to Goodbye [in which I quite enjoyed his acting and chemistry with the actress, Bo Ah {<- my favorite actress at the moment] ) and I was scouring the internet everyday just to find some of his content or acting. When I came across this before it aired, I immediately added it to my "Plan To Watch" list. Jun was the main reason I was excited for this drama. Then, I saw that Apink's Bomi was also in it. I became even more excited. I also want to say that I appreciate the efforts of the entire cast! Even though I respect and admire their achievements as a solo act, I wasn't totally impressed for the chemistry in between the main cast.
I might be quick to judge as I only watched one episode, but this drama really doesn't have what it takes to be fully watched for me (let alone a 10/10). The suggested overall rating is 4.5, but I gave it a 6 just because of the cast :) P>S> this is the longest review I have written.

Please dont date him: um drama descomplicadamente divertido
