Maybe this genre just isn't for me

Is this how all breakup kdramas are? It seems to be the opposite of every drama I've liked: romance in the first two episodes and then a slow drag with a few hugs, far between. Who wants to watch crying for two months--that isn't even that sad, since they only had a one night stand and then like two weeks before the family s^&t hit the fan. We never saw any mad love, so I don't get how the break up can be this big of a deal. Why all the eyes welled up with tears? At least the Director and CEO have an interesting story going on... they are literally the only reason I'll bother with the last two episodes at all. Maybe the breakup drama is just not my jam, though.
