Similar to the famous British dystopian fiction sci-fi series, in a real-life Black Mirror story, we're shown the human connection in China's digital idol-making universe, ultimately finding the same promises and perils online in their real lives. Winner of the 2018 SXSW Grand Jury Award, the documentary meets three young characters - a singer, a comedian, and a migrant worker - who're searching for fame, fortune, and human connection by live-streaming their talents online in order to gain the attention of the new era of live streaming.
