Seeing the other guy touching her face not once but twice and of course misunderstanding the whole thing, he went over board.

His female classmates verbally abused her. He didn't defend her. Then he proceeded to join in and enjoyed it. He made fun of her feelings for him in front of everybody.
She got her own back and he flipped it about her being sooooo terrible. Pulled her outside and she said she is giving up on him, which we know she isn't because the more he is mean the more she loves him. So he says "oh, is that so" (or something similar) and kisses her to take advantage of her to make her fall for him again. Because he is a bastard like that. Smirks and says "I told you so" and trots off with his nose in the air.
Oh man how much do I hate him.
Rin is so perfect for her. He loves her so much and is crazy and happy like her.
I felt so sorry for him moping over her. While she is in love with someone who abuses her. (Say whatever you want but it's abuse to manipulate someone's feelings and expose them to hurt them)
Poor Rin. I felt so sorry for him. He is in love with her but she doesn't feel for him like that.
Oh and the 'kiss'? It was a peck at the edge of her lips. He wouldn't dare kiss someone 'stupid' like her.
I think he may have been jealous of Rin at some points though. Don't know.
This is so boring, nothing is even happening. I can't stand how everyone abuses Kotoko and she is in love with someone who does so too....
I'm giving up at this episode. After reading it doesn't get any further at episode 8, I can't go through another few episodes of feeling really angry. This is IT for me. Abandoning this series...

Yes, I agree that the kiss was a bit disappointing, well that's pretty much expected since our lead actress is still a minor, and THIS is a Japanese teen drama. Even so, I didn't consider the whole episode a total disappointment either. In fact, this episode is a splendid! Irie is shown to have little emotion, which is a good development. Kin-chan's role improved, He is not annoying and a total loser here, he is actually very passionate and sincere. (to the point that I feel sorry for him, since it would be really nice if he gets Kotoko in the end, but we know for sure that its not.) and Kotoko, she's still lovely and active, I like how Kotoko treats Kin-chan, She's not like the previous versions that totally ignores Kin-chan. The story was totally fast paced, considering that they were on college on the 6th episode.
Other than that, this ep was good, not up to my high expectations (which I should've made them lower) but it's good, I liked the way they changed Kin-chan parts, I repeat that I am so glad that Kotoko doesn't push him away harshly like in other versions. Moreover, they made Naoki feel jealous at some parts and it felt good to watch.
This version is very fast paced, only five ep and the next one will be in college, I just hope they reach the marriage part and don't exclude important characters.

Overall, very cute episode. I love Honoka Miki's acting, she's adorable. I love those silly faces she makes, I literally died laughing when she was first talking about "firstu kissu" in the beginning. keke.
Feel bad for Kin-chan though, poor guy singing for Kotoko and she's elsewhere smooching (well no not really but okay) with someone else.
"Nice guys finish last."
Not sure about real life, but that line is sure suitable for most (if not ALL) Asian dramas/movies.

No music, and a poor guy singing his heart out to a girl who doesn't even hear it.. Sad!
